Lube And Oil Change Coupons In Mail Advertisement

How much is a jiffy lube oil change?

It cost me $195 at J Lube just to ruin my heater core (long story- they put in bars leak) because of the extras they upsell you on. Then another $200 after a hose blew off they forgot to clamp back on.
So my answer is around $400..and then you don't have heat...maybe a head gasket leak...oh ya..they forgot to put on my cap for the wiper fluid....the list goes on.
And the fuel injection cleaning doesn't help either....arghhh!!!!!

Should I use Jiffy Lube for an oil change?

I think that the dealer guy is full of himself. I would not take my car to the dealer for anything unless is was a warranty issue. I have seen more dealer errors than "Jiffy 5.15" . Wage doesn't matter when it comes to taking care of your car. What matters is the type of people hired and how they are trained. I have about 30 people that work for me and have had a great experience with them all. Most are kids either in high school or college. They are eager to learn and they know that this is a stepping stone job to get them through school. When it comes to regular car maintenance I can bet you my guys know just as much if not more than a dealer mechanic. So what the heck go to jiffy lube, uncle rays oil change whatever you are comfortable with. If you like the dealer then go there too. Just remember price isn't everything. If you feel more comfortable somewhere and it is a couple of bucks more so what. Plus look at the type of oil used I know as a Pennzoil 10 minute owner that Pennzoil is the most expensive oil to buy. So yes I have to charge more but I'm not filling my pockets with money I charge according to what I am being charged.

I say he is full of himself because I am sick of people at dealerships badmouthing the quick lube stores. We change oil on more cars in one day than they probably do in a week.(unless they have a quick lube in their dealership). I have nothing against dealerships except their egos. From the salesperson down to the janitor they think they are better than any one. You go to a Mcdonalds in one town and get bad service does that mean all mcdonalds are bad? Same thing applies to the quick lube industry. Most stores are independantly owned and operated. But people dont realize that and think well I went to a Pennzoil and they sucked so I wont use Pennzoil anymore. I hear it all the time. I explain that all Pennzoil ten minute stores are independantly owned and all run things different. And I cant say for all but we dont push anything that doesnt need to be sold. If it is time according to the owners manual to have something serviced or changed then we do it. None of my employees make commision. I have people tell me the dealership tries to sell them more crap than we do.

Is getting an oil change at Jiffy Lube worth the cost?

No not at all. The employees work on commission there. So part of their job is a thing called upselling. What this means is they will say anything to make a sale. For example see below: What I’ve put below goes on everyday at Jiffy lube , oil changers, all these little 10 minute oil change places , the sign for an oil change at 19.99 gets you in the door. The 19.99 is just for pulling the plug and draining the oil. That does not cover the filter or the oil because every type of oil is priced differently…. It also does not cover greasing your fittings if you have any. Most places won’t even do that unless you ask them specifically and when you ask they charge you for it but if you crawl under the car and check? 99.9 percent of the time they havnt even done it. So next time you go for an oil change just ask them to check all your fluids and see what they come back with. Betcha 50 bucks your gonna need flush? LOLSir , your brake fluid is very dirty , you need a flush … that’s 129.99Ma’am your transmission fluid is very burnt and red ( transmission fluid is usually red ) you need a flush it’s 169.99Sir , you need a cabin air filter , the filter is 48.99 and it will take us an hour to install it , we charge 79.99 per hour .Ma’am you need a power steering flush, your fluid is very dirty and brown and if you don’t change it …? Your going to lose your steering power and then your belt will break. It’s 179.99 for the flush and clean.Sir u need a new air filter and since it’s located down below the engine cover and we would have to remove it , ( meanwhile the cover just snaps off) it will be 79.99 for labour and 39.99 for the filter.

Does jiffy lube have oil change coupons online?

Savings.com has a link to a deal for $5 off a Jiffy Lube oil change:

I think A/C repair is expensive, though...

Is Jiffy Lube good for an oil change?

In short, yes. Jiffy Lube is just fine for an oil change, though I have seen my fair share of ruined oil pans from facilities of the like. Now, if you're worried about your belts or brakes or anything else, you might want to seek a more qualified individual (NOT Just Brakes... and not TLE... just saying).

How much does an oil change at Jiffy Lube cost?

somewhere close to 40 bucks unless you find a coupon for a discount online.. It includes vaccumes carpets, exterior window wash, top of on fluids, and replacement of oil filter and oil up to 4-5 quarts I believe.

About how much does a jiffy lube oil change cost? And how does it work?

It depends on where you live. Most places charge around 20 - 25 dollars.Appointments are usually needed. You drop it off & when they are done they have you pay for it. Before you take your vehicle anywhere make sure the mechanics are certified to work on our vehicle & ask to see certification. Make sure his certification says the mechanics name & cars he is certified for ie>Honda etc...If it does not take it somewhere else. The standard/blanket certification for the business place does not mean that the guy working on your car is certified. These can be easily forged. Having your oil changed by a discount mechanic can cost you big. If the engine blows up after being worked on by them. You have to prove it was their fault & that can be tough to do. Find a Honda dealership & have them do it is the best. It is still going to cost you around 20 - 25 dollars & the mechanics are Honda certified. They know your car & what to look for. If they see something that is going to be a problem they will tell you. If they tell you that you need to fix something do it as soon as possible. Putting off repairs can be expensive if you wait to long.I currently own 5 vehicles & they all go to the dealerships for oil changes & anything else that is needed. If they make a mistake they stand behind their work & will cover the repairs.

How much is a oil change at jiffy lube?

I ould rather do it myself than sit on that dirty furniture while they mess things up. If--and only if-- you properly equip yourself for an oil change, it is much easier to do it yourself. I mean the tools, the jack stand (if necessary) the correct filter wrench, a good transportable drain pan, and hand cleaner and plastic gloves. Then you will have to take the oil in the transportable pan to the auto store or wherever you take oil where you are. In this way, you might be able to upgrade to synthetic oil for the same price as a Jiffy Lube.
But if you are not equipped it is a dirty job. I recommend gloves because the oil is very acidic and will burn your hands even after considerable washing. If you are a woman, get a man to do it. Don't be a sucker.

Who has a cheaper oil change midas or jiffy lube?

sears auto repairs,or your cars dealer believe it or not.this is one of the only deals you get from them.i have a 2000 jeep cherokee and still take it to the dealer because they do a 16 point inspection and the oil and filter change for 24.95. midas and jiffy lube are not the way to go.and aways let a male if your not one go with you to have this or any work done on your car.as soon as they see a women alone they know you don't understand cars that well and will take you to the cleaners.what you need to do is get on your car dealers mailing list.the first time i took it there they charged me like 40 dollars and after that they send me a set of coupons every month or so with some decent deals like the 24.95 oil change, been doing it for years.hope this helps you out. its cheaper than doing it on your own.if you own a chevy go to the chevy dealer if its a ford go to the ford dealer.i know it sounds crazy but if you want it done right for the right price this is the place to be there's no one that knows your car better, and if they find more problems you just tell them you have to put the cash together and go elsewhere for this work because their labor costs are off the hook.

What is the cost difference for an oil change for a diesel and a gas motor?

don't go to a jiffy lube to get the oil changed in a diesel. change it yourself or have a buddy change it. jiffy lube doesn't stock rotella which is the only oil that should be used in a diesel. I'll get ridiculed by mobile fans but rotella is what should be ran. you can get a 55 gallon bucket at TSC for $55 or so and that's what should be run. I don't recommend jiffy lube anyway. those idiots don't know what the hell they're doing. they don't drain the oil all the way, 1/2 the time they don't change the filter, they're just worthless change it yourself or take it to an indpendant shop. they'll do it right. It may cost more but they'll put rotella in it if you request it. rotella t is expensive but there's nothing better than it.
