Made A Mistake On My Cv

Made a Mistake on Job Application Form help 10pts?

Yes, I would call them or let them know face to face. In general, I've found people are more willing to help out someone they talk to. Plus, it's an innocent error. Maybe it will turn out there are openings on the day you actually wanted.

I made a greeting mistake on my cover letter. Should I resend it?

No.You have assurance the hiring manager will receive your doc.No guarantee it will be read, of course. You are, however, well advised to get the name of the hiring manager so you can, in time, follow up with a cordial note only, saying you appreciate that Ms. xyz volunteered to forward your CV to him/her.In the unlikely event the hiring manager has not received your CV from Ms. xyz, he/she will know where it is and the hiring manager has the option to reply to you asking you to send a fresh copy to him/her.You therefore gain the advantage of making a second positive impression.Trust your instincts. Professionally maintain “control” of the situation without appearing needy or pushy.Nice touch. Send a personal, handwritten note to Ms, xyz thanking her for forwarding your CV to the hiring manager. You are making a positive impression on another individual at the prospective employer organization.Okay?

I made a monumental mistake in my SOP for graduate school by writing the same university's name in the middle of the SOP. Do I have no chance?

I can offer an anecdote of advice. I was told that for my SOP I should include a customized paragraph about each school. This included a short list of multiple professors at that school that I wanted to work with, including names of those who I had already been in contact with prior to submitting my application, and reasons why I thought we would be a good fit. I do think this helped my application because it showed that I was prepared to work with multiple professors (you never know who you might not be compatible with) and it shows that I had been thinking about grad school for a while. Now, you've already submitted your application so if you didn't do this, I wouldn't worry. Plenty of people don't and make it into grad school with just strong letters and a decent CV. For myself, I needed a little more.  This can just serve as advice to other readers who might be looking for application advice. So in my application to University of California San Diego I found out after I submitted that I had put in my final sentence, "and that's why Univeristy of Washington will be a good fit for me." Or something to that effect. Oops. Well, to make it short I got accepted to UC San Diego. It seemed they didn't care so much. Now, as I mentioned, I had written about professors from UC San Diego, so that may have helped, but I still wrote Washington at the end.  It's likely professors reviewing your application understand what being busy is like, and they know you might want to go to their school, even if it's maybe not your first choice. They can still tell if you're a good candidate and will overlook the tiny error for a record of good research, a genuine interest in your field, and some good letters of recommendation. Good luck!

Please, Could you check my mistake in the follow complaint about a hotel?

Hi. My name's Alfredo and I'm mexican .I have to made a complaint about a hotel and I need of your help to correct the possible grammatical mistakes and do it correct. Please, It's urgent. I will be infinitely grateful with you!!!!

Well, this is the complaint:

"Dear Managing Director of Bellevue Hotel:
I am writing this letter to complain about many services and terms that you offered in your advertisement and you didn’t fulfilled during my stay at your hotel in July 7th.
As a parent of a little girl, I wanted to use your service since I saw it recommended in a family vacation guidebook. I was also suggested your hotel by some friends on a number of occasions and one of them gave me a flyer that contains all the commodities you offer. Unfortunately, I recently had an unpleasant and nasty experience with that promises.
When my family and I arrived at the hotel, we were shocked at the conditions. First, my daughter was terrified of a large dog that was always at the reception (in contraposition of the promise where it is specified that you welcome children). After that, when we went to our room, we realised that it was at the back of the hotel (so, the promise of a beautiful sea view was over).
Also, we wanted to turn on the TV, but it didn’t work and we couldn’t find someone who could fix it. We wanted to eat at your restaurant, but the manager told us the chef was on holiday.
After one night, I decided to move my family to a different hotel for this reasons; but, at the moment to pay the bill, we were told we had to pay an extra summer supplement while, in the flyer, you said that there was special offers for July.
Please refund me the cost of the hotel, for the time my family and I stayed in. I enclose the receipt and photos of the conditions at the hotel.
I reiterate that this was my first bad experience with your establishment, and I hope it was just a one-time mistake. I suggest you improve the conditions of the hotel. I look forward to receiving a letter of apology and a check for the amount settled on the enclosed receipt to continue a good relationship with your company."

Broken CV in my transmission...can I get the piece out myself?

Does the end of the axle shaft appear to be broken off? If it does guess where the piece of it is, you got it in the differential still, which is in the same case as the transmission. If it does not look broken it may not have been the correct CV axle shaft for your car. Also just though I would toss this by you, you didn't accidentally install it backwards did you? It has been done. One end will have the retainer clip and the other will not on a CV shaft.

If the axle did in fact break off in the transmission, you will have to pull the transmission and open it up to get it out, not something a typical DIYer can do, and will require the help of a pro at a transmission shop to get it fixed and some cash of course.

Sure you can try a new CV shaft to see if there is a piece left in there, it will go in but not all the way. If it does not go in completely you know whats going on for sure.

Then again the piece might have fallen into the case and now is floating around in the fluid, just hope that it does not get picked up and jamb up in the gears or you could have a very bad day.

Alright does the metal look broken or twisted off? If it does not good, and what does the other end look like. Sometimes auto makers made several different variations of CV shafts for the same year of car, and you need the old one to compare to the new one, if they are not the same it is unlikely the new ones will work.

I was not trying to imply you are inept I have made those dumb mistakes too installing things wrong I do maintenance for a living, I was just saying it happens. FYI I helped change a clutch once on a RX7 and while I was gone getting parts the guy who owned the car decided to install the new clutch plate and pressure plate while I was gone, when I got back he had it all bolted up and ready for the transmission to go back in, I never thought twice to look and see things were done correctly, needless to say he had installed the clutch plate in backwards, the car would not move, we had to waist another 4 hours fixing the mistake oops! Just so you know and can get a laugh at my buddy and I's experience.

Good luck and you might have to get it towed by the sound of things.

Can I send my resume twice due to errors made?

Yes you certainly can, but I would advise against it. If the errors are minor (like formatting or a spelling error), let it alone. You made a mistake - don’t do it again.First, sending a second resume may confuse the HR person or whoever is receiving resumes. They may see a second resume from the same person and simply delete or ignore the second one - which defeats your intent.Second, if you send a second resume and explain that you made errors in the first one, you are simply pointing out mistakes that the reader(s) may or may not have even noticed. You should avoid pointing out your flaws and making it easier for them to reject you.Caveat: If the error is something very significant (a wrong year on your employment date or graduation date), then it may be important to correct that error before they interview you and catch the error during a background investigation.
