:( Why do I get made fun of for being smart?
Hi! You sound a lot like me! I am in one of those gifted programs called (GATE) at my school and unless you are super pretty the people not in the program make fun of you for being nerdy. I'm lucky I'm just attractive enough to pass for being not being picked on, but I still find insulting people just because other people like to challenge their learning kind of disgusting. Let me just say that there is a difference between nerdy and smart! And also that people not in these programs are NOT STUPID! I am in no way saying that. I think people that bully are extremely stupid. I think their are a lot of reasons why they do this! (when I say they, I mean like the people who make fun of you, not the other decent people.) So one, they could be jealous, because they need something to make them selves special and they do this kind of thing where they try to make being smart a BAD thing. Any remotely smart person knows its not. I have a friend where whenever I mention something advanced in like math or something she gets super defensive and starts saying like "oh I did that last year" and "ugh thats so easy why are you even in GATE?" and I'm like "ok..". But in reality im doing things like 3 grades ahead that she could know nothing about, but I try to not mention GATE or any thing like that at all because I can tell it bothers her.... I think its great that you humor your bullies, because that way if anything happens, you will never be in the offense and will have no reason to bully you, so when asked they will be like "um... I'm just a complete idiotic ***". Always act with mean people like there was a teacher behind you, keep quiet, don't respond meanly or yell and swear. try to laugh it off and kind of act like their insults are beneath you, like respond with "ok then...?" raise your eyebrows and then walk off to your locker or something. Ive seen people do this and it makes the bullies look so stupid. Agh honestly bullies annoy me so much. They suck. They are just defensive people who still need to find their talent and take it out on other people and cant hold in any emotions. You have obviously found something you like! writing and poetry! you should become a famous author and like rub it in your faces that your good grades got you into amazing universities and theirs left them working a boring cubicle job that a monkey could do. aha im not usually this mean..
Why do people made fun of me being short?
I'm short for my age therefore I look younger but people in general tend to stop and take a moment to figure out a rude comment to say to me. What!!! Does everyone have to be normal or be compared? What is normal? or perfect? I'm seriously getting sick of other people's bull-h-t. I love the way I'am (no complaints here) just asking why do you make fun of others? Just remember treat others the way you would like to be treated. -spelling doesn't count- -Thank you!-
Why do I get made fun of EVERYWHERE? Work, school, etc?
Every job I have People are nice to me at first. Then they get to know me and after a week people are already saying I'm dumb or "special" make fun Of me, and speak to me however they want. And this hasn't just happened at one specific job Ive had, it's been like, the past three. I'm always the laughingstock of my job which I why I've quit the last two because of the harrasment and how all my co workers including managers just think they can fck with me and treat me how they want. It was exactly like this back 2 years ago when I was in high school as well, I was bullied a lot and called dumb and laughed at every day for no reason. I really don't get it. Is there something that says "make fun of me" on my forehead ? Like why is this only me but at every place I go?
Why do people make fun of people who work at McDonalds/fast food places?
I just turned 19 and recently started working at McDonalds. It wasn't my first choice but I applied to 100 different places to work this summer and that is the only real interview/job offer I got. I don't really need the money but I just wanted to gain some job experience and have something to do this summer. I go to a private university and have to pay for some school expenses too, so the money is useful. But I hear so many people talking crap about people who work at McDonalds. Sure, it's not the ideal career. But what is so wrong with working there? Atleast people working there are actually working and not sitting around. And in this economy, it is so difficult to find a job at all. Yeah, I make minimum wage but let me tell you, it is HARD work. So please tell me - why are people so judgmental of people who work there?

I have really been in to mermaids forever and i decided to make a spell. is there any special ingrediand i have to add? i even made up an incantation: A mermaid i wish to be, but not permanately! with a tail of ______, and the power of _____, when i'm neck deep or deeper in water, my tail will grow, i will breath talk see as easily and painlessly as on land, when dry or in water fron the knee down, i will have legs and be human, oh a mermaid i wish to be! witches one and witches all, give this power to me! but beware the full moon, touch water in it's view, and you'll be a mermaid for 24 hours, witches one and witches all! a mermaid i wish to be! so give this power to me! there is a potion i made and i just wanna know if there is anything i can do that will make is work? my friend is excited and i'm not sure if it will work or not i want to see if i can make it work b4 she comes over in afew days. It's that simple. Your insecurity and social anxiety are seen as weaknesses by people who want to enhance their esteem by taking yours. You stop being their whipping boy by being a superior person. Square your shoulders, hold your head up and look them in the eye. You turn the tables by being better. You look down your nose at people who need your humiliation. Why would anyone need that?Have you ever been in a chicken yard? You'll see one hen missing feathers where the other hens have pecked her. Your coworkers are establishing a pecking order. Only you can stop this. The way you stop it is by calling them on their bullshit every time someone disses you. If nothing else, demand an explanation for why an individual feels the need to disrespect you. Don't deal with the group, deal with individuals. If someone busts on you to entertain your fellow workers, you should nail them for it. It's your turn to make someone feel awkward and uncomfortable.Back in the chicken yard, if you take the meanest alpha hen and pen her alone with the bare ass hen, the pecking stops.
Why does everyone make fun of the Air Force?
People on here call it the Chair Force or Air Farce etc. Even my friends in the Army say that real men join the Army. I've looked at the Army but I want to work in Intelligence and the Air Force has the best jobs. Is there something wrong with me?
