Mails To Join List Via Subscribe-group@ Does Not Work For My Group

Is there a way to see all the mailing lists I'm subscribed to on Gmail?

This question is asked so often...  And I confess I don't get it. Gmail solved this. Completely. Long ago! With respect, I don't understand the need to see a list of things you are subscribed to. If you feel that need, http://unroll.me/ is supposed to be good. But why bother?  Controlling what does (and does not) get to your inbox - literally takes one click! This little button takes care of it. Really. If the list can be unsubscribed from easily, the Gmail automated tool will offer to do it for you.And if you don't bother to unsubscribe... Who cares? I mean, outside of the email marketers you are ignoring, I suppose they might care. But click this magic button and you will never see email from that source again.  It's out of your face, forever - unless you go looking for it in your Spam label.  What's the difference?

How can I subscribe to a Yahoo! Group?

Here's how you can subscribe to a yahoo group: ( I hope this will help you!)

Join via the group’s page:

Once you’ve located a group to join (at groups.yahoo.com, you can browse the Groups directory or search for a group by topic), click Join This Group in the upper-right corner of the group’s page.
Haven’t signed in yet? You’ll be asked to enter your Yahoo! ID. If you don’t have one, register by clicking Sign Up at the top of the page.
Set your membership preferences. Choose a profile you'd like to display to the group, select the email address at which you'd like to receive group messages, choose how you receive group messages, and more.
Join the mailing list only:

Yahoo! Groups recommends that you join a group via the group’s page (above). But if you want, you can simply sign up for the mailing list for the group. When you’re only on the mailing list, you don’t get access to all the group's web features (Photos, Files, Links, Polls, Calendar.)

To subscribe to a group's mailing list via email, send a blank email to:
groupname-subscribe@yahoogroup...

Make sure to replace "groupname" with the actual name of the group (e.g., pastry_chefs-subscribe@yahoogr...

When you get the confirmation message, just reply to it…and your subscription will be complete!

Respond to an invitation to join:

If someone sent you an email invitation to join a group (and you’d like to join), click Join this group!

How to unsubscribe from yahoo groups?

its very easy to stop yahoo groups emails.

if you are a member of that group from yahoo id , then go to the following url
http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups
sign in from that yahoo id , and see the list of groups available in that list.
you will see that group name , click on the group name , and then edit your membership , remove yourself from that group

and if you are member from a non-yahoo id
then send an email to
group_name_here-unsubscribe@yahoogroup...
you will receive a confirmation message from that group , reply that email and then you will be removed.

Note:- Please replace the "group_name_here" word with the yahoo group name which you dont want.
for example
nidokidos-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

How do I unsubscribe to a yahoo group if I can't access the groups?

I have been getting Yahoo group update emails in my secondary email account. If I click on "unsubscribe" or any link to a groups related site, I get the following:
:irc-3.test.com 451 GET :You have not registered
:irc-3.test.com 451 Host: :You have not registered
:irc-3.test.com 451 User-Agent: :You have not registered
:irc-3.test.com 451 Accept: :You have not registered

:irc-3.test.com 451 Accept-Encoding: :You have not registered
:irc-3.test.com 451 Accept-Charset: :You have not registered

:irc-3.test.com 451 Connection: :You have not registered
:irc-3.test.com 451 Referer: :You have not registered
:irc-3.test.com 451 Cookie: :You have not registered

If I am not registered, how can I have groups? How can I resolve this problem? There are no links to legitimate help on Yahoo, so I'm hoping for some help here. Thanks^^

Does yahoo groups accept gmail accounts?

Being unable to receive group Invitations is a common complaint, but not usually from gmail addresses. Have her check the Spam folder, which is sometimes hidden under the "More" drop-down in the left hand column. There have been reports of some groups where Invites don't reach anyone, so you might try sending a test Invite to some other email address you can check just to see if it is received.

The email list component of Yahoo Groups accepts gmail and other email services without problem. To gain access to the members-only areas of the group's web pages the person will need a Yahoo ID.

If she doesn't need or want access to the group's web pages I would suggest that she subscribe to the email list without a Yahoo ID. She can do this via the -subscribe command (listed in the right-hand column of your group's home page) or by clicking the "Join the mailing list" link if she actually does receive an Invite. Send her the link to the "Joining a Yahoo! group" page for instructions.

It is supposed to be possible to sign in to Yahoo using one's gmail account credentials and then create a Yahoo ID to use in Yahoo Groups. From what I've read, and my own experience, this process seems to be trouble-prone. See the help pages below.

I would instead recommend she create a Yahoo account, and then add her gmail address as an alternate email address in her Yahoo account. That's the method I use. The last help page below tells how to switch to using her gmail address after joining the group with a Yahoo account.

Can I apply to join a Yahoo group without a Yahoo ID ? i.e non-yahoo email address?

Yes. You can but you are an email list member only meaning you cannot access the group features you can only receive messages that is posted from the group through your email.

In order for you to access the group you need to have a Yahoo! ID.

Why are the email delivery of posts to my Yahoo Group delayed?

A good site to check is Moderator Central:
http://moderators.groups.yahoo.com/

The following came up in my query "message delays"
- Extended Delay in Message Delivery
with discussions dated: 25-Jul-07 08:32 pm
http://messages.groups.yahoo.com/Groups/...

Also there was a Yahoo! Groups Scheduled Maintenance - Thursday, July 19th.

Email from DougC:
Message: Jayne,

Thanks for your reply to my inquiry. It was helpful in finding other people experiencing the same delays. Unfortunately it doesn't get me any closer to a solution. Am I banging my head against the wall? Or have these delays just become a fact of life in the YahooGroups world that everybody else knows already?
Thanks, --Doug

Response to DougC email:

I have seen delays in the past with Yahoo! Groups. But, unless the message is held up in the SPAM Pending folder and require an Owner/Moderator approval - the delay is not really something that is a problem.

My groups pass Job Leads. We do not use the group to "chat," therefore, any delay is not an issue. Althought, I occasionally monitor my messages sent to the group and is how I have seen the delays in the past.

I know I am not helping you. Sorry!

I have known groups that have changed to Google groups - I do not like Google groups. Don't like the look (limited to personalize the group page). I don't like the digest (not as easy to use as Yahoo!). I would never change over - I like my group the way it is. That's my $.02!

Can a Facebook Page join a Facebook Group?

Late to the game on this one but recent changes mean that you can now link a page (not a personal page though) to a group. It took a bit of looking around the internet but I managed to find this link https://thedigiterati.com/link-f... I did this with my three Facebook groups, The Artist Hangout, The Artists Exchange, and The Artists Directory and linked them to my own business page as I am an artist and blogger. In short, here's how it's done. 1.Go to your Page and click Settings2.Click on Edit Page3.Scroll down to look at the tabs4.Click on "Add a Tab" at the bottom5.Select "Groups"6.Now drag the Groups Tab up the list7.Click on Settings. The url shows where all the Groups connected8.Go back to the Page and see how your Groups tab now shows up in the left hand nav9.Now (this is important) click on the Groups tab to tell Facebook which Group to link to your Page10.Either choose your Group from what Facebook surfaces or, if your Group isn't shown, click "Link Your Group"11.Now your Group is linked to your Page12.Now when you write in the Group you can do so as your Page rather than as your personal Profile13.Click on the drop down in the top right to choose your posting personaHope this helps! As I say, it's a recent change but stumbled across this thread and thought it would be a good idea to make people aware as I haven't seen much about it either on Facebook or elsewhere online.
