Micro SD card suddenly has no memory?

So I had literally a couple thousand pictures on my Samsung 16GB micro SDHC card on my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone.

Well while on my honeymoon the SD card ran out of space, so it started saving pictures to the phone's internal memory/SD. We literally have over 600 pictures now stored in the phone, and we needed to get the external SD card empty so I could transfer internal pics onto it and onto my computer for easier sorting/deleting. (No cord to plug in right now or I'd just do that route if possible.)

So I emptied my external SD card onto my laptop, then tried to go back and transfer phone pics onto external SD. I actually was able to transfer a whopping total of TWO pictures onto the card before it said "Not enough memory. Delete some items."

I went through and checked every single place there could be hidden pictures--downloads, Instagram, photo editor...and transferred them all to my laptop. It still says that it has no memory!

I had a SECOND 16 GB micro SD card which I tried the same thing with, and the same results. Now I have two 16GB cards that are basically acting worthless to me.

I checked the SD card storage info on my phone and it says there is a total space of 0.95GB on the card and 0.98MB available. Huh?

What's the deal and how can I fix this issue? I tried restarting my phone with no change. Is this a common glitch? Did I do something wrong to mess the card up? Help please!

Suddenly my memory card got erased automatically. How can I get back the data?

Before suggesting any solution, the way of erasing data need to be clear. Whether data has been erased with the help of data eraser tool or data wiped by formatting the drive. There is no data recovery solution available if data is erased with the help of a data eraser tool. But if any other data erasing method used like formatting then data recovery is easily possible with the help of data recovery software.

Why won't my Nokia X2 start when my memory card is inserted?

I bought a Sandisk 8GB MicroSD HC card for my Nokia X2. When it is inserted when the phone is turned off, the phone will not turn on. If I insert it while the phone is on, it will stay on for a few moments and then suddenly shut off. I have used a memory card in this phone before, which was a Sandisk 256 MB MicroSD that worked fine. Manual says it can take up to 8GB of added storage.

What could the problem be?
