Metal Tasting Cough And Itching Of Neck And Chest.

**HELP! Tightness at bottom of throat/metallic taste in mouth (HELP!)?

I had hives-like symptoms a couple of days ago with prickling all over my body.. it feels like fiberglass or a jellyfish sting along with welts and bugbite like dots that came and went. If I were to scratch one of the bugbite-like dots it would trigger the prickling and new bumps would form. Now the itching and prickling isn't so bad, but for the last few days I've been having this metallic taste in my mouth and a dryness feeling at the back of my throat. Last night my lips and tongue and cheeks were all tingly-like and my throat felt like it was closing. Right now (AT THIS VERY MOMENT) my throat feels almost raw like and it feels like it's closing around the base of my neck/ upper chest region. My tongue's kind of dry too. I went to the doc and he said it could be anxiety. He was a douche. Antihistamines don't seem to help much. It's seems as though it's moving through my body. (it started in my legs, then my thighs, then my arms, face, and now throat) Not only is this **** irritating, it's kind of freaking me out. PLEASE HELP.!

I have noticed pain on right side of neck after drinking alcohol.?

I have the same problem about 5 minutes after I start drinking. Every time I search for a reason for it all I can find is hodgkin's lymphoma. I copied and pasted this from one of the many web site I found.

Common Symptoms
The signs and symptoms of HD include:

* painless, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, chest, armpit, groin, ankle or spleen
* pain in the lymph nodes after drinking alcohol
* night sweats so severe that they may soak the patient's bedding
* unexplained night fevers, with temperatures above 38° C (100° F)
* unexplained weight loss of more than ten percent of body weight in the six months prior to diagnosis
* fatigue
* anemia (low hemoglobin value)
* patches of red skin
* loss of appetite
* itching (especially of the legs or feet) so severe that patients may scratch their skin raw
* persistent cough
* persistent breathlessness, especially if the clavicle or chest region is affected.

What is a cough with a metallic taste in the mouth a symptom of?

If you do not see blood when you cough, that is reassuring, because this makes it unlikely that you have a serious infection or other source of bleeding in your chest or lungs.There are several conditions that can cause bleeding with cough, such as a tumor in the lungs or a tuberculosis infection; however, generally in these conditions the amount of blood that is produced is sufficient that it is obvious with coughing.However, it is still possible to "taste" blood with cough related to several other conditions. This metallic taste might be because of microscopic amounts of blood from the irritation of the lining of the nose and throat from coughing or blowing your nose.It is also possible that the metallic blood taste is actually from chronic mucus congestion, which often will produce a similar taste to blood.Your doctor will be able to help figure out where your cough is coming from - common causes include asthma, nasal allergies, and sinus congestion - and recommend an appropriate treatment so that you can start feeling better.Hope this helps! What is the indication when your phlegm tastes fishy... this is serious just a while ago I vomit because of it

How do I remove the bad taste in my mouth when having a sore throat due to a cold?

Any detrimental effect on the sense of smell, as results with a cold, affects the sense of taste as well, so it may not be possible to “remove” the taste. Still, avoiding onion, garlic, and tobacco could help, and you might find a citrus or other lozenge that counteracts the taste.

What are some severe side effects of shooting up metho?

The primary effects of shooting up meth are like that of smoking it, except it hits you all at once in an indescribably rush. First you taste the meth in your mouth, and then you feel a cool chill (and accompanying euphoria) rush down your spine and throughout your entire body. At the same time, you hear a ringing in your ears builds up to a deafening roar (similar to nitrous), and you're effectively deaf for a few seconds. Similarly, you will experience a "whiteout"—where your field of vision brightens until everything seems to turn white. For a few seconds, you'll be completely incapacitated.It's very similar to shooting up cocaine, except meth is much more potent, so a little goes a long way, and the overall stimulation lasts for several hours rather than a few minutes.If you overdo it, you will get nauseous and severe palpitations. Your body temperature rises, and you will sweat and get some dry-mouth. Your vision may also blur a little. You will worry that your heart is about to explode or that you might have an aneurysm. If you're lucky, you won't. If you're unlucky, you'll die.It's pretty risky, and since simply smoking meth is already extremely euphoric and allows you to easily control your dosage, I really can't recommend switching to an IV route. Also, if you miss your vein or blow out, it will burn like crazy—with cocaine, since it's a local anesthetic the pain will at least be dulled by the numbness.

When I clean my left ear with a Q-tip I feel a weird tickling sensation in the back of my throat. The Q-tip isn't even going in that far. Why is this happening?

So, of course, don’t clean your ear with a q-tip. While it has a number of hazards including impacting wax and inadvertently hitting the ear drum, it’s also really unnecessary. The skin in the lower half of the ear canal is always migrating towards the opening as a part of it’s normal life-cycle…and the wax migrates with it. Cleaning only the outer most opening of the ear is sufficient, which doesn’t require going deep into the ear canal with a q-tip.That said, you’re experiencing a stimulation of Arnold’s nerve, part of the facial and cranial nerves that run past the external ear canal. Some people (roughly about 3%) are sensitive to that nerve being touched, and it causes a ‘tickling’ sensation in the throat, which can result in coughing or gagging.The cranial nerves run through various parts of the face, neck and head…and many of them (oddly) run near or through the ear. For example, the chorda tympani nerve passes through the middle ear, and is responsible for passing information of taste for the rear two thirds of the tongue. This is why a middle ear infection can alter taste.See Head and Neck Table of Nerves for a starting point :)
