Can a 16 year old drink Red Bull or Monster Energy Drink at this age?

On your SAT's i dont think that you should drink red bull, its for high energy sports and activity. If you want your mind to stay sharp then get lots of sleep and revise your subjects. I know i sound like your mum but sleep really matters when it comes to exams. I dont think that drinking it will hurt you but dont drink to much or you will have a rush then a comedown.

Which energy drink do you prefer, Monster or Red Bull? Why?

Well, as a sponsored racer, of course I would say Monster. ;)Before sponsorship, I would drink Red Bull. The taste is great. After Monster came up and made themselves a household name, I started with LoCarb. However, I believe Khaos is the best Monster drink hands down. It’s a juicy taste with a zip of the original flavor. Also, the can is bigger than Red Bull, so you are getting more quick energy. I love lemonade, so Rehab is my second choice. Ultra Red third choice. Zero is my fourth choice.Still there are more flavors to choose from. But Khaos has been my liquid crack.

Energy Drinks: Which is healthier: a Red Bull or a Monster?

XS energy drink is better than both. Proof: it is the only energy drink allowed on NBA courts. Made of vitamin B and fruits’ juices, it was initially made for cross country runners by the doctors at the Mayo Clinic. I can tell you more or give you a sample if you are interested.

Is it ok for a 13 year old to drink redbull/monster for energy?

No. It's not ok for you, or for even adults to drink that stuff. Especially on a daily basis or before you do something active. Not only is that massive amount of sugar not good. It makes your heart race, which can cause unforseen complications. If someone has any type of heart issues, epilepsy, ADHD, or other conditions it can complicate them & make it even worse. There has been cases of children who have drank it before a sporting event, then were running around being active playing, the combination of their heart being pushed to the limit from the energy drink plus the active body caused a child to have somewhat of a heart attack.

Here's some other info from other sources:
"The potential harms, caused mostly by too much caffeine or similar ingredients, include heart palpitations, seizures, strokes and even sudden death, the authors write in the medical journal Pediatrics. They reviewed data from the government and interest groups, scientific literature, case reports and articles in popular and trade media. (Here's an example of one incident) Dakota Sailor, 18, a high school senior in Carl Junction, Mo. had a seizure and was hospitalized for five days last year after drinking two large Nos energy drinks — a brand he'd never tried before. He said his doctor thinks caffeine or caffeine-like ingredients may have been to blame. We would discourage the routine use by children and teens, said Dr. Steven Lipshultz, pediatrics chairman at the University of Miami's medical school. He wrote the report with colleagues from that center. The report says energy drinks often contain ingredients that can enhance the jittery effects of caffeine or that can have other side effects including nausea and diarrhea. The American Association of Poison Control Centers adopted codes late last year to start tracking energy drink overdoses and side effects nationwide; 677 cases occurred from October through December; so far, 331 have been reported this year."

What will happen when I drink 5 Red Bulls, or 5 Monster Energy drinks, in a single day?

You shouldn’t try to find out.The main risk is from consuming all of that caffeine. While some people regularly do have that much caffeine on a daily basis (whether from coffee or energy drinks), there are also very rare instances of serious health issues, or even death. However remote the chance of something like that happening to you, I don’t think you should take the risk by finding out.Even if nothing terrible happens, unless you already have a high tolerance to caffeine it probably won’t be a good experience. The effects of too much caffeine are well documented:https://reize.com.au/short-term-...

How detrimental are energy drinks like Monster, Red Bull and Nos compared to coffee? Is it safe to drink a normal serving of anyone of these daily?

Monster, Red Bull, NOS, and many other “energy” drinks are detrimental in a variety of ways. I put energy in quotations because this is not true energy. They use caffeine and sugar in copious amounts to make you temporarily amped up, but it comes at a cost. Caffeine attaches to adenosine receptors in the brain as it is similar in structure to adenosine to give your body the illusion of energy and keep you from getting tired. Over time your body catches on and just produces more adenosine receptors which is why you need more caffeine for the same effect. This is also why you can feel real withdraw symptoms when going off caffeine as you are able to feel even more tired due to the increased amount of receptors. This is temporary and usually will return to base level within 2–3 weeks. Caffeine in itself is not bad in normal amounts but the sugar is the real killer.. It goes without saying how bad sugar is with it’s potential to contribute to diabetes, weight gain, mental crash, and more.. Coffee on the other hand when consumed BLACK WITH NO ADDED SUGAR OR OTHER SUBSTANCES is actually surprisingly healthy with real benefits ranging from fat loss, possible prevention of Parkinson’s Disease, positive metabolism effects, and recently found to possibly slow the onset of dementia. Energy drinks and coffee should actually not even be put in the same category in my opinion, and you should always go for the coffee, most energy drinks are poison. But if you want an energy drink, try a Celsius Heat or another with no sugar, carbs, or added crap. Hope this helps!

Can monster energy drink make you fail a drug test?

I wouldn't think so, but normally if your taking one of those test they will ask if you had any medications that day so I would assume if energy drinks fell under that, they be listed too.

Which is better, Red Bull or Monster?

Depends on how you define “better”.Tastewise, better is relative, and will obviously change person to person. I prefer the taste of a standard Red Bull to the taste of a standard Monster. Even when it comes to flavoured and/or limited edition variants of Red Bull and Monster, I’ve enjoyed more of the Red Bull ones than the Monster ones. Both have extremely similar base ingredients, sugar and caffeine levels, so comparing them wouldn’t help you decide.Cost-wise, Monster is better (at least where I live). I can buy a four pack of 500mL Monster cans for $12.30 ($6.15 per litre) and obviously less when they’re on sale. For Red Bull, the very best option in terms of $/L for me is the pack of eight 250mL cans. The standard price for this is $15.00, which makes the cost of Red Bull $7.50 per litre. As for buying individual cans, Monster takes the win by far. A single 500mL can of Monster would cost me $3.65 ($7.30 per litre). Red Bull comes in more sizes, all of which are more expensive per litre than monster. 250mL = $3.00 ($12.00 per litre), 355mL =$3.80 ($10.70 per litre), and 473mL = $4.55 ($9.62 per litre). So if you need help choosing:Like Red Bull and dislike Monster? Go for Red Bull.Like Monster and dislike Red Bull? Go for Monster.Like both and care about cost? Go for Monster.Like both and don’t care about the cost? Go for whatever you feel like at the time. If anything, I’d give the edge to Red Bull since they have a larger variety of sizes, so if you only feel like a small amount, you can drink one small can of Red Bull instead of drinking half of a Monster and drinking the other, slightly flat half later.
