Muscle Pain Under Right Foot

Weird pain in foot?

Hello,

It may be plantar fasciitis or tendonits. Tendonitis in the foot is a common problem amongst hard working people. This is a classic over use injury and affects a particular tendon in the foot, the posterior tibial tendon. This tendon helps to hold the arch of the foot and prevents your feet from rolling in too much. The patients in-step of the foot may appear inflamed and may have a pronounced flat foot deformity. Symptoms include pain at the in-step of the foot, especially along the course of the tendon. There may be burning, tingling, shooting or stabbing pain present in the foot. This is due to the inflammation of the nerve that surrounds the tendon. If a patient is asked to stand on their toes, intense pain will be present in the arch of the foot.

Plantar fasciitis is a condition in which the plantar fascia is inflamed. This condition can be very painful and cause a considerable amount of suffering. Most comonly people get pain in the heel however you can also get pain along the arch of the foot.

I wonder if your flat footed? that can be an underyling causative factor along with over pronation. Allow 7-14 days to rest, then try some over the counter orthotics such as the dr foot pro insoles which are ideal for this type of pain. Foot pain right on that meaty muscle that's right near, below the ankle...?

Have had foot pain right in that general area from after running a bunch of 10k's. After one 10k I woke up the next day and it hurt.

Yesterday it felt like it was going to be gone by today, but today it's back.

It's pain to the extent that it kind of goes away when icy hot is applied, but it hurts to walk when I roll my foot.

It's hurt for a couple days, but I am hesitant to see a doctor because it's expensive.

Has anyone ever had pain like that, on the outside of the foot, on that meaty muscle that's right next to the ankle?

I've iced it, massaged it, and put icy hot on it. It's a nagging pain.

I have a sharp needle-like pain in my right outer foot. What could be wrong?

I have had foot pains before, not sure if they were the same ones you are having but I found out that releasing the muscle under my foot helped my feet feel better and go pain free. Once I was pain free it didn't matter what I wore for shoes. Here is what I did to release that muscle:
Foot Muscle:
With your foot in your lap place your fingers side by side at the back of the arch right in front of the heel and press in hard and hold. After 30 seconds slowly raise your toes up as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your toes there for another 30 seconds.

What causes right side pain near hip bone?

It's hard to say exactly what is causing your pain. First, where is the pain? I'm asking this because for a couple of years I was having horrible pain in my lower right abdomen/pelvic area. First thing they checked for was my appendix, then I saw a gastroenterologist and he did a colonascopy, then I saw my gynecologist who did an Ultrasound and ended up having exploratory surgery in that area to make sure they didn't miss anything (none of these were not causing my pain) . I went to see an orthopedic for my back problems(Scoliosis) and he was the one who finally figured out why I was having this pain in my right pelvic area. It turned out I had a labral year in my hip along with bursitis and a bone spur. I had surgery to repair all this.I started having pain in my hip joint a few years later (this was on the outer side of the hip, but inside the joint where it meets the pelvic area and the leg). I now have arthritis in my hip (along with other areas).I'm telling you all this because just saying you have hip pain is very vague too tell you what is wrong. You could have hip pain but the cause may not even be in your hip. It could be lower back issues, knee problems to name a few. Your best bet is to see an orthopedic doctor to get an answer about your pain.
