My computer freezes when I try to put music on my phone?
The music files... are they laced with DRM? if so, that might explain the freezing. You could test to see if that's the case. If you have a music CD laying around your house... put it into your computer and rip some songs from it... any songs... then copy them over to your phone to see if it freezes up again. If not, then the problem is with the files you're trying to copy over.. If it does freeze over.. then the problem is with your phone or computer. Next, check the amount of storage space you have in your phone. If are almost out of space then that could be your problem. Are you using a SD card in your phone or the phone's internal storage? Most HTC phones don't come with slots for cards.. and after the bloatware, you have only a few GB's of usable storage to use. You can also try copying the music to a different location. Just create another folder called My Music or Songs... or any name you like.. and see what happens when you copy to that folder. Your music app should be able to see that new folder. Does the same problem occur when you copy over photos or videos.. or just music? I'm still thinking that maybe your songs have DRM imbedded within them. If push comes to shove... you can always download ES File Explorer and configure it to your wireless router so you can stream songs from your computer to your phone. Also works with videos and any shared folder.
