My 10 Month Old English Bulldogge Weight

How much to feed 8 month old english bulldog?

Yes, that sounds just right. I also have an English bulldog, Manny, who will be 3 years old in August, and I feed him exaclty the same amount as your girl is getting, as well as a few people food treats a week. Just like your dog, Manny doesn't ever act like he's starving, and in fact more often than not, he leaves some food over in his dish. He also eats on his own time, as I have read that bulldogs seem to prefer eating small amounts throughout the day instead of just 2 big meals. He weighs 60 pounds, though, since male bulldogs are bigger, but he's not fat- it really is all muscle. Check out an excellent book I found called Bulldogs for Dummies- it has really helped me out a lot!!

My 4 month old english bulldog weighs 11 pounds?

My husband and I have a 4 month old AKC English Bulldog. We purchased her for $2000 from a breeder. The vet has done a health check (2 times), and hasn't said anything about her being underweight. Is this weight a little under? I am thinking she should weigh at least 24 pounds. She isn't a miniature (that we were told). She eats on a schedule (3 times a day) about 1 and 3/4 cup at each feeding.

Any help would be appreciated.

What's the average weight for a 7month English Bulldog??

At 7 months old, my girls have weighed between 35-40 lbs and my males have been probably about 5 lbs more. My latest pup (female) is 10 months old now and weighs about 50 lbs. At 7 months, I believe she weighed 37 lbs and was at a perfect weight for her. She's a little chubby right now and could stand to lose a couple lbs. Her ideal weight is probably about 47 lbs.

It's really difficult to define an average weight at this age because they are still maturing and all Bulldogs mature at different stages. Some grow taller first, then their bodies and heads catch up later... others start with larger bodies and their heads and legs catch up later... some stay fairly balanced throughout maturity. The best thing you can do is look at the sire and dam (and even grandparents, if possible) and ask your breeder how they matured. This will give you a better idea about your dog may mature.

According to the official breed standard, mature females should weigh about 40 lbs and mature males should weigh about 50 lbs. However, this doesn't mean that your Bulldog will be that weight. The most important thing is to look at your individual dog and keep him at a weight that is most healthy for him. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Your dog should also have a noticeable waist. Looking down over your dog, Bulldogs should be pear-shaped, the widest area being at the shoulders, then the ribs, and tapering down more narrow at the waist and rear. Also, from the side, you should see a nice tuck-up underneath, behind the ribs and under the loin.

An added note... most Bulldogs reach their full, adult weight by about 9-10 months old. After that time, they re-distribute that weight as they continue to develop and mature. You may notice some slight fluctuation in weight during the next 2-3 years as they develop, but their weight usually won't change much (assuming you are keeping them at a healthy weight). Bulldogs are generally a slow-developing breed and most don't reach full maturity until about 3-4 years old.

How much should my 3-month-old English Bulldog puppy eat?

He is currently eating Orijen Puppy.

I have been feeding him 1 cup in the a.m.. 1 cup in the afternoon, and 1 cup in the evening - so 3 cups a day. He also gets some fresh deboned chicken every few days, and I occasionally mix in the Freshpet during his afternoon meal.

Is this too little? He chows down like he is starving, but I'm pretty sure this is normal EBD behavior? (Please correct me if I am wrong..) He is always walking back to his dish to check for more throughout the day. He even drags his bowl around. (I need to remove them...)

How much food should I feed my 2 year old English Bulldog?

i have a 2 year old bulldog and he is on 2 cups a day so about 350 grams of dry food which is plenty, he used to have chicken and fresh meat added as well but due to an allergy he cannot. a bulldog will always seems hungry and my boy would eat a house, he should weigh about 27-30kg ish give or take if he weighs this (female slightly lighter) they are doing fine. if they are from a rescue and you want to indroduce a new food do it gradually but sounds to me like he/she is doing fine. a bulldog can easily gain weight which can cause a whole lot of problems. good luck with your bully

Is my Olde English Bulldogge overweight? (with pics)?

He weighs 86 lbs and is 4.5 years old. Vet rated him 6-7 on the 10-point Purina Body Scale. Even at 70 lbs the vet rated him overweight.

OEBs are much larger than regular bulldogs. I can't figure out how much he should weigh, how much he should lose, how much he should eat. Weights range from 60-100 pounds for males. Current diet has been 2.5 scoops of Blue a day. Hasn't lost weight. Walked several times daily for appx. 45-60 minutes total. Used to be able to run very well, cannot run much anymore but can walk for hours. Dog parks for exercise are not an option as he is not good with other dogs. Also, nearing winter so it is very cold and he is extremely sensitive to temperature changes.

He must lose weight immediately for health but vet is worthless on helping with diet because unfamiliar with Olde English Bulldogges/Leavitt bulldogs ("just read the back of the dog food label"). Suspected allergy to chicken, eats lamb dog food. Goal is to have him jogging with me again, but do not want to strain his body.

Please help! Also, note he is an **Olde English Bulldogge** --not-- an English bulldog!

How much should an English Bulldog eat per day?

It depends on how much the dog weighs and what type of food you are feeding.  It will say on the bag or can an amount to start with.  Obviously, if your dog is gaining too much weight, you cut it back, or if it's too thin, you feed more.  A lot will depend on the dogs activity level, age, and metabolism, as well as the quality of the food being fed.  I know this sounds vague, but there really can be quite a difference.  I have a 6 yr. old female french bulldog, I feed her 1/2 cup a day of quality dry food, and she maintains her weight and if I don't walk her, she will gain.  My 3 year old male french bulldog, gets a combination of 3 cups quality dry and wet dog food and stays at his optimal weight without additional exercise.  Both weigh about 30 lbs.
