My 2 Year Old Is Strong And Can Push Down Gate. What Do I Do

Can I sit on my 2 year old horse?

(Please read the whole thing) I have a horse that will be two here pretty soon. I know that you aren't supposed to ride 2 year olds too much, but I was wondering if I could sit on her bareback for like 3 minutes, just standing still, not even walking. I only weigh 93 lbs, and i know she could handle it mentally. She wears my really light western saddle around and it's only like 25 lbs. I would just be bareback, though. I've jumped up on her and held it for a few seconds and slid off. She acted like it was so easy. She is a Missouri Fox Trotter and is 14.1 hands and weighs 860lbs. I used to think she was tall and leggy, but she is turning out to be more stock type. She'll probably be about 15.1 hands. I was wondering when I could just sit on her bareback, not even walking. Just standing still.

I caught my dog drinking my cats pee the other day. Then yesterday she ate my cats poop?

Dogs will be dogs.

Boundaries and discipline for a defiant one year old?

my 1 year old daughter is a great kid. She is smart and loving and pick things up quickly. she is 15 months to be exact, and already shows strong feelings of Independence and unwillingness to share. I know that she's just a developmental stage where she's learning things and testing boundaries, but no articles that I've read have given actual ways to deal with it. its always an explanation in a way to deal with it if your kid was 4.
my kid is only one, and obviously she can't understand when I try explaining that she shouldn't hit the dog in the face, or throw things at me. I have tried ignoring her, distracting her, but when she wants something that's it. She focuses her mind on something. for example, she will press the power button on a xbox over and over again no matter how many times I drag her away she always comes back, and she is already starting on temper tantrums. she's also very possessive of her things, and possessive of things that aren't hers that she wants. I know she knows the meaning of the word no, she occasionally listens to me. I don't want to break her independent spirit, I would just like a little more control as her parent.
I hope I don't sound ridiculous and she's only 15 months old, but I don't want to start any bad habits now. I want her to understand now that I'm in charge.

PS, I have utilized spanking on all my kids and have had success, but my daughter could care less about it. and no I don't want a lecture about how spanking is abuse.

What is best career plan after completing graduation in b.tech (mechanical engineering)?

Well, after completing B.Tech in ME there are hell a lot of options for government jobs. The only thing you have to do is to have sound knowledge of mechanical engineering, i mean basic concepts and their application along with sound numerical solving capability which will come only by practice. Here i’m listing some of the options.Through GATEGet a decent rank in GATE (<500) and you surely will get an interview call from some of prestigious psu’s like BPCL, OIL, IOCL, NTPC, NHPC, OIL, GAIL, BHEL, MECL, MDL, NLC, NFL…….there are many more. All have a nice starting package (above 10 lac) and there is a provision for incentives and increments. For ranks around 500–900 you will get call from some of the companies, mostly oil companies.P.S : Cutoffs are different for different companies and tend to vary year to year.If your GATE rank is less than 600 then you can get IIT’S . Pursue you M.tech and you can go for lectureship in polytechnic colleges. Get a phd and you can apply for the post of assistant professor in engineering colleges. If GATE rank is around 100–200, then go for M.tech from IISC. After your course completion you can go for placement in government research labs or for higher studies.ESE (Engineering services exam)This is an exam conducted by UPSC. People clearing this exam are the topmost technocrats of the country. Competition is very rigorous so you have to work very hard for clearing this examination.State engineering servicesSome of the states also conduct their own examination for the recruitment of Graduate engineer trainees. These exams are quite similar to ESE and are a bit less hectic comparatively. I can remember Telangana state recruited around 200 engineers through exam last year (maybe more).Without GATEThere are many other psu’s which conduct their own examination for recruitment. Some of them are SAIL, VIZAG STEEL, ISRO, BARC, NPCIL etc.Look out for their vacancies and prepare for exam.So all the best for your endeavors.

Senegal Parrot and Siberian Husky?

Hi there!

My family has a senegal parrot, and we're getting a year old Husky in about a week.

I'm honestly terrified right now of what could happen to our bird. My mom wants to put the dog's cage right next to the bird cage, and I'm really nervous about leaving them home alone.

The way my house is set up, there's really only one room we might be able to put the husky in when, but it has our nicer furniture and stuff in there. Huskies are probably destructive when left alone, no?

Maybe if we put the bird in there... either way, is there a way to block of a room with no door from the dog? Would like a child-proofing gate work, or is the dog strong enough to push it?

Thanks!
