Phone's WiFi slows down internet connection?

As I've gathered your issue is your S5 slows down your wifi after it connects connect? The other guy Mamianka seems to either not read the question or is putting his own issues down.

The S5 can slow down your home internet (especially if you're on DSL like me), if you have Google + backups enabled, dropbox, Google Drive, YouTube preloading, or anything in the background such as Skype. Any of those will continuously drain your connection.

I have a 3MB/s DSL connection. It can stream YouTube in 720p on my PC, just fine when my S5 is on 4G LTE.
Once I enable Wifi on my S5, my 3MB/s DSL gets like 0.72 MB/s on speedtest when I test it on my desktop PC.

That's because my phone is constantly backing up photos to Google +.

After I disabled that, my S5 can stay on Wifi, and my PC gets like 287Kbps or 2.56MB/s to 2.89MB/s via Speedtest.net

Try doing what I said above.

If it still is slow, then try disabling background data, then connecting to wifi. Hopefully then your other devices (Desktop PC, Xbox, PS3 etc) won't suffer poor speeds.

PS: Mamianka I have the same issue as the OP, but my Desktop PC is connected via Ethernet (aka wired connection), gets up to 2.92MB/s, but when my S5 would connect to the router my Desktop's speeds would fall to as bad as 0.56MB/s.

IPhone or BackFlip? Which one?

I would choose an Android phone any day because on the iPhone:

-cant take out the battery
-no removable memory
-no multitasking
-only Apple-approved apps
-cant customize your phone AT ALL
-doesnt work with Windows
-no Flash support
-no widgets
-no custom ringtones
-no ringback tones
-cant transfer ANY files from a computer
-Android phones have better cameras
-Android phones have faster processors
-instant Android OTA software updates
-cant get service in an ATT store- have to find an Apple store

Android is miles ahead of Apple- with the new 4.0 software, Apple is only now letting people do things like add folders to their home screen and multitask, because GOD FORBID that anyone should be able to do that on their cell phone- OH NO!!! Oh, Android has been able to do both of those things ever since it came out. Android is already selling more phones than Apple, and its only been out for a year and a half. By the end of the year, the Market will have 100,000 apps, which is more than the Apple Store had at its 2-year mark. Android’s open-source nature will always be more appealing to devs and phone manufacturers because they can market to every carrier, and dozens of phones, instead of 1 carrier and 1 phone. The possibilities are literally endless as far as Android is concerned, because ANYONE can make an app to do ANYTHING on the phone. With Apple, they have to approve every single app that goes into the Store. They wont even allow an app in if it says the word Android in it anywhere- how far do you really think they’re gonna go with that kind of closed-minded thinking?? I want to decide what goes on my phone, not the other way around..

What do you do if your parents look through your phone?

I've always had a very simple policy when it comes to people (mainly my parents, boyfriend, litter brother) looking through my phone or computer:You can if you want, but when you find stuff you didn't want to find that's on you, I ain't losing sleep but you probably will.I keep plenty of shocking things on my devices, some of it for no reason, some of it for very particular reasons. If someone went through my phone they would cause themselves more problems than they caused me. So far no one has tried it.So I used Applock DoMobile. I am using it from couple of month on my Xperia Z phone.. And if I want to know who tries and fails to get into your apps, It has just introduced the Intruder Selfie. Other features are good like locking files, videos, photos, or harassment intercept etc. No one can view my secrets. Smart. You can take a look https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.domobile.applock

How do you track someone with their cell phone?

There are several ways to track a mobile phone. Software, the most useless, reason being you need to have access to the target phone. Example. I feel like tracking my neighbours phone,he ain't gonna let me have his, her phone long enough to install software onto it. Also a virus scanner will detect it and notify you of it's existance.Another way. Hardware you can make yourself for approx £20 pounds. The draw back on this way is you only get one way conversation, txt. To do it properly using this way,you need a separate tracking device for EACH target phone. The best way is to use the actual networks involved. All you need for this is the IMEI. Oh i say IMEI,there is also two other ways built into mobile phones. Bluetooth, and WiFi. Both transmit serial numbers when in operation, just like your mobile transmits its serial when switched on or in use. There simply hardware addresses. And I can't say how to do that on here. Sorry it's illegal. As for changing a mobile phone IMEI,it's very easily done. The IMEI number is stored on a eeprom chip. Erasible, programmable memory chip. To do this depends upon the manufacturer make, model. You can do it with a simple code, or you may need a data cable or jig,and pc with the software on it. Companies like Nokia protect there's,you gotta be a service centre and pay for it .I.e pay for the license. Companies like Samsung, use mainly codes. Depends on the manufacturer. And the most hardest IMEI to change is iPhone s. Oh yes forgot. Cells track phones as soon as switched on,don't even need a SIM card to be tracked. Software is just snooping software, spyware. Hardware, tracking is when the phone is in use only. And a mobile device can NOT be tracked when switched off.

How to find my iphone?

If you have set up find my iphone in icloud on the device before, you can try to locate your device with find my iphone. Go to https://www.icloud.com/ in your web browser. When you log in, Find My iPhone will immediately begin trying to locate your phone if it is online. If it is offline, you can try to enable Lost Mode and others, learn more here: http://www.wikihow.com/Find-a-Lost-iPhone
If it does not work, it is better for you to contact your service provider and phone provider and see if they can help. To prevent your new idevice from being stolen or lost in the future, I suggest you apply some free anti-theft apps like iLostFinder ( http://ikeymonitor.com/free-apps ) except set up Find My iPhone/iPad/iPod in iCloud on the device. It will take pics of the thief or finder when she/he tries to open your device with a wrong pass and then send the pics to your email etc. Hope it helps.
