My Cat Is A Scorpio And We Have New Neighbors

Cat VS. Scorpion? Can a Scorpion kill my cat?

The common belief among both cat and scorpion professionals is that cats are not immune to scorpion venom. So why don't more cats die from scorpion stings? There are a few reasons.

1. A scorpion will usually try to run away when it is in danger.
2. If a scorpion does sting, it may first inject "pre-venom", which is designed to be painful, but it's harmless and keeps from wasting the real thing.
3. A scorpion will deliver a potent sting right from the start if it is provoked or severely handled (like being stepped on by a human). A cat would probably not step on a scorpion 'by accident' and it wouldn't have the same impact if it did.
4. Cats notice scorpions more readily than humans do.
5. Cats are faster and more agile than their human counterparts.
6 .Cats have fur. The scorpion stinger isn't very long, and, for most cats, the thickness of the fur protects them from stings.
7. Cats have thick skin. Even if the stinger gets through the fur, the thick skin probably prevents the sting from piercing.

I tend to believe, therefore, that cats are not immune to scorpion venom, but rather they are better at avoiding getting stung. Basically, yes a scorpion could kill your cat - however, the odds on it are rare. There are many different kinds of scorpions, varying in venom and potency, though. Try to keep your cat away from them at all time, of course. But trust your cat. Even if you cat is stung by a scorpion, that doesn't necessarily mean it will die. Not all scorpion stings are lethal.

Your cat sounds a great deal like my 4 kittys. They will attack anything - and I do mean anything. Spiders, bugs, anything that moves (except small animals - thank goodness) and I get worried about them all the time. But my one cat who goes out every night is 14 years old - gets into the most of mischief - and the only run-in he had was with a humming bird who attacked him. He was fine (just had to have a little surgery.)

Good luck with your kitty!:)

Why is Libra considered Scorpio's best friend sign?

I think everybody befriends their own zodiac sign or their dominant signs the most. I am a Scorpio and if it matters, I can't stand Libra fickles, they are not good friends, they are so selfish. Leos are at least protective, Libras are awful. The best friends for me are fellow Scorpio, Cancer, Taurus and sometimes Leo. Between the neighbours Libra and Sagittarius, I prefer Sagittarius when it comes to friendship but never romantic interests. Sagittarius is a funnier and more loyal friend, partner in crime. I never get along with male Libras and rarely with female Libras. Too much self-confidence and shallowness is never good. They are not even manly men, they are cowards.

What to write in a card to introduce ourselves to our new neighbours?

Sounds awfully neighborly of you but I think perhaps in this day and age that might be an overkill. Perhaps you ought to wait and see what kind of neighbors you have before sending out these cards to introduce yourselves. Wait and see which of these warm neighbors show up at your doorstep with a cake or a pie to welcome you first. Your way might open up the pearly gates for trouble. I don't think you want to have total strangers showing up at your home, after they get your cards, and asking to borrow your lawnmower, a cup of sugar, your tool box, or even your money. Or they may be into wife-swapping and might show up at your door for a quick boink. Do you really want that?

Scorpio man says he no longer wants to be in a relationship.?

I'm so confused. So I was dating this Scorpio guy for about 6 months. He came on full force, barely let me breathe. Loving, open...needed to know my wherebouts at all times...and when he lost his temper? Whoa Nelly! No holds barred! After one major fight, I showed him the door. I cut off all contact, after the this incident he was showing serious regrets for his actions and trying to get me to forgive him (I was deeply hurt by his stinging comments). He kept saying he loved me and couldn't stand to lose me, that I was worth it. I ignored his mutiple texts, phonecalls messages for two weeks! And then finally agreed to meet up and discuss the matter. After our meeting, I decided it was best to give eachother space and time. He was having none of this...he continued to pursue like a mad man. We continued to see each other, but when I tried to discuss our relationship, he said he no longer wanted to be my boyfriend. I accepted his decision, as I was unsure as well.

After all these ups and downs, I have accepted that it is not meant to be. Though he still contacts me daily, wants to see me all the time. My question is, why does he still presist on being part of my life if he no longer wants to be with me? Why does he keep coming back over and over if he has decided I am not the girl for him? Is his a game?

Can an animal act like a zodiac sign that they are born under?

Ever had or still have a pet that is born under a:

Fire sign and they act - fiery, enthusiastic, spontaneous, and self-sufficient. They can be just down right troublemakers when seeking fun, but their very passionate loving warmth that they give to you in return makes you melt quickly to forgiving them. But misused, and they can be bossy and too forceful.

Earth sign and they act - practical, earthy, dependable, conservative, and loving. They love material comforts and have good recuperative powers. But misused, and they can be dull and ignore you.

Air sign and they act - social and fun loving with other animals from all walks of life, being unprejudiced. They are also very bright and smart. But misused, and they can be cold and impractical.

Water sign and they act - Emotional, intuitive, responsive, sensitive, and have deep looks into their eyes as if they see right through your soul. They tend to be moody and are easily influenced by the environment. Misused used and they can be self-pitying, and wavering.

So what do you think???

What do vegans’ pets eat? I’m a vegan but I have dogs and cats. How and is it healthy to make them vegan too?

There is a lot of pseudo-science out there distorting information to support misinformed agendas. PETA’s website in particular is infamous in this regard. Simply put, there are three types of herbivore digestive systems: ruminant foregut fermenters, non-ruminant foregut fermenters, and hindgut fermenters. The fermentation is necessary to digest the quantities of plant material required to obtain the needed nutrition. Everyone knows about the four stomachs of a cow, and that they “chew the cud”, hence ruminant foregut fermentation. Kangaroos and colobus monkeys don’t “chew the cud” and have two-chambered stomachs to ferment the food. Hindgut fermenters will have some combination of large cecums or larger colons (large intestine) to accommodate fermentation. This is why gorillas have big bellies; it’s not fat, it’s a very large colon.Compare primates:Notice the larger cecum/colon capacity of the herbivorous primates as compared to the human. The human has no fermentation ability. Humans have developed digestive systems that rely on enzymatic breakdown and outside the body digestive processes such as aging and cooking food that contributes to the breakdown of the components. It has been noted that humans may be considered cucinivores, rather than omnivores, due to our reliance on cooking food to make it digestible.Anyway, cats and dogs have small cecums, almost insignificant in the case of cats, and small colons. A cat’s large intestine is only 17% of its intestinal track. A dog’s combined cecum and colon are only 15%. They have no fermentation ability. They are not herbivores. While humans have developed cooking (there hasn’t been a non-cooking human species for over 300,000 years) and some ability to internally process plant matter (indigestible cellulose that herbivores ferment is what we call insoluble fibre and aids in bowel movements) cats and dogs havent evolved to cook.Nature has given cats and dogs the digestive systems required for them to live healthy lives and it’s not up to humans to try and force misinformed unnatural agendas on them. The Bible may speak metaphorically of the lion lying down with the lamb, but in reality, without eons of more evolution, if that lion doesn’t roll over and eat the lamb, he’s going to get sick and die.

Can betadine be used for animals?

Betadine is used on cats but I never do anything without an ok from my vet. You should take the kitty in for a vet check especially if it's around other pets you have. Sometimes cats have contagious diseases and all rescues should be tested. It's great your friend rescued the cat, but she should rescue it all the way and see it gets proper care.
