My Cat Is Past Her Due Date To Deliver Her Kittens Should I Give Her A Shot To Induce Labour

My cat is past her due date to deliver her kittens, should I give her a shot to induce labour?

Renad,

Your vet knows better then strangers on the internet who haven't been able to look at / examine your cat.

You should listen to him, and do NOT give your cat any type of shot unless it is administered and approved by your vet.

Hope this helps :)

How to induce labor in a over due cat?

my cat is 3 years old, we have only had her for 3 days, but she is pregnant. we found her on craigslist list, along with her daughter, 2 years old. the home wasn't a very nice home. they weren't very well taken care of. pru (2 yr old) had many cuts along her back, and mama ( pregnant 3 yr old) has a few cuts on the back of her neck. plus when we got there we were only going to take pru but then the lady said if you want ruby ( mama) you can if you dont then just let her outside, we cant afford her, so we took her so she wouldn't suffer and the kittens wouldn't suffer. well the lady said that she has been pregnant for almost 3 months, and most of her kittens don't usually survive, and well, this is my fist time living on my own with my boyfriend and our very fist pet on our own, adn birth, and we don't know what to do. i know they only stay pregnant for 65-70 days, so i was wondering if there was a way to induce her pregnancy other than that raspberry thing.
also pru wont use the litter box. on the very first day we brought them home we put them one at a time in the litter box, mama peed in it and has used it ever since, pru, sniffed it, then walked away, and has twice pooped on our kitchen carpet. so after the second time, i locked her and i in the room with the litter box, put her in it, and she walked out, and just came up to me and was being friendly, ( which is unusual so far for her because other than eating and pooping on my carpet, she hides all the time. ) so finally mama was trying to get in so we let mama in and then once pru saw her using the litter box she went right over sniffed it and peed, so naturally i assumed problem solved and let her out, and as soon as i did, she pooped int he same place on my carpet again. we put pepper down after the second time but she still went, so now we have a second litter box in that spot. how do we keep her from being so timid and how do we get her and to use the litter box? and once again, how do we induce mama's labor?

Mom cat acting VERY strange with 5 week old kittens...?

We took in a stray cat in March because we knew she was pregnant and we didn't want the kittens to die nor did we want them growing up feral and un-catchable around our house. So, at the end of March she had the kittens. By 'took in" I mean we meant to let her safely have the kittens in a warm place.... we would like to have her fixed and either find her a home or let her back out. She isn't our cat, but I felt bad for her because she's been around for a year and no one will claim her.

Up till now everything has been great, we have a little set up for her and the babies in our large upstairs bathroom. We currently have our own cat and a dog and we don't want the animals exposed to each other because our animals are all up to date on shots, fixed and flee free. So... we've kept "Mama' as we named her seperate with her babies. The kittens are doing great, using the litter box already and eating and drinking water. Mama sometimes nurses them but it doesn't seem as often that we see her with them.

Here this past week she's been acting almost like she's annoyed with the kittens, like when they try to nurse she makes this moaning noise and she'll get up and move away from them. And she's also been making that same moaning noise and meowing constantly while rubbing herself all over everything she can. I seperated her from the kittens several times because I thought she needed time alone, but she just acted mad when she was seperated from them. I don't know if she's ready to be back outside or not... she just doesn't act like she wants to be here anymore.... so I don't know what to do!!!!

Can someone tell me if I should just let Mama go or what she might want... we've tried everything but I don't know... She hogs all the food from the kittens, and acts like she wants nothing to do with them, so I'm lost as to what she might want... any help would be apprecaiated!!!

Is it common for women to fart/pee/poop during delivery?

Pooping during labor, many people hesitate to discuss this outside, but they are still interested in knowing about it. Many are afraid about pooping during labor, but is not uncommon to poop/pee/fart while pushing during labor.According to doctors, as it is the same muscles that are involved in pooping and pushing, it is very obvious for a pregnant woman to poop during labor, also in labor woman have extra pressure on colon and rectum. There are no chances to prevent pooping while labor, but before the last stage of labor if you have bowel movement, it lessens the amount of stool in the colon, which comes out while pushing. Most of the times, women doesn't even know that she did poop, as doctors/nurse/midwifes wipe it off immediately. Some people prefer enema to reduce the labor. Contradicting this, a study has stated that, two groups ( of which one group was on enema while the other was not ) had similar durations of labor, But enema during labor is not a standard practice. Pooping during labor also depends on what you ate before going to labor and at what time you had it.During early labor it is better not to go to bathroom to empty your bowels, as it could be your baby putting pressure on your rectum, and you might sense it as poop. You still might end up passing some stool during pushing, but the actual pressure on the rectum could be your baby’s.And finally, never worry about what your doctor thinks if you fart/peep during labor, it is very common, and doctors knows even more about it.

Why didn't humans evolve to ensure successful childbirth without medical assistance?

I’m totally bothered by this question. I know it’s based on the successful fear tactics doctors use to make women believe they’re incapable of birthing babies without medical assistance. And media portrays birth as an event to worry over and rush to the hospital for. But, I believe the majority of cases of inductions and c-sections are not necessary. And, the way media portrays childbirth is completely off the mark if one is prepared and educated properly.Doctors want things done timely. We’re instructed to go to the hospital when our contractions are 5 minutes apart. You’re giving a timeline if your water breaks. We’re not allowed to eat and fuel our bodies. And, everything is highly managed. How often have you heard that someone needed to be induced because the baby didn’t come on time? I wrote about the problem with induction in this post: Can I Ask to Be Induced? Baby's Due Date, Size, Bishop Score and More | SAHM, plus...But, birth wasn’t meant to be a highly managed event. Babies don’t come on a doctor’s time. And, by not being allowed to fuel our bodies, we only stifle our body’s ability to continue laboring effectively. As a petite mother of 2 children, I was capable of birthing both my babies naturally, without drugs. Simply speaking, I view the hospital birthing process as an expensive game of catch. I did all the work while the doctor stood there waiting to catch the baby. And guess what? My second baby was late … he’d gotten stuck on a bone. But did my doctors tell me that? No … they just wanted to induce, which had a good chance of leading to a c-section. I was able to get my son dislodged from the bone myself and go into labor on my own without induction. And, I still had him naturally. If you’re interested in that story, you can read it here: 13 Days Past Baby's Due Date: How I Escaped Labor Induction | SAHM, plus...We ARE more capable of successful childbirths, if we’d stop allowing the spread of misinformation and scare tactics. Women need to trust their bodies and not put 100% stock into their doctor’s words! By doing some reading and educating themselves, women can help take back birth … and hopefully reduce unnecessary inductions and c-sections!

Can a clogged catalytic converter unclog itself?

Well, it can happen that they will de-clog on their own, but usually need a helping hand.  If it is utterly blocked, then dismantling and manually cleaning is the only solution. If the ceramic material inside is melted, then change it.Most modern Cats are stuffed with a ceramic honeycomb structure, unlike the older ones that had complex filters with platinum wool amongst other stuff inside them. One of the reasons they get clogged is people lugging around in fifth gear making lots of soot which clogs the honeycomb.A faulty EGR valve (gas recirculation) will do the trick as well.Faulty injection, allowing to much fuel to come through the exhaust can cause the honeycomb to melt when it starts burning the fuel... (replacement)But you can clear a blocked (not 100% blocked) converter by getting it hot enough to make it finish what it is supposed to do.The garages here in France have a naughty technique, they hoist the car up on lift with the motor going flat out, and stand underneath it holding a fire extuinguisher, just in case it sets fire to the car, or any flames from the now burning soot comes blasting out of the rear.It is a dangerous technique in my opinion, and not good for the engine, but it works.  I don't suppose it works everytime either. So if you have a CAT that is partially blocked because you mooch around in fifth gear or have bad driving habits, you could try driving the vehicle hard enough to heat the CAT as it should be, where usually it can clear itself. So , if it is soot build up, there is hope for you, to unclog it without taking it off the vehicle and or changing it, if it is hard blocked with mineral deposits, unlikely. If it is melted, its got to be changed.

What is the best thing about someone born under the cancer sign?

Positive Traits: kind, loving, emotional, intuitive, imaginative, shrewd, cautious, protective and sympathetic.

Negative Traits: changeable, moody, over-emotional, touchy, untidy, clinging, unable to "let go," and a tendency to wallow in self-pity.

Likes: hobbies, romance, children, parties, home and country.

Dislikes: failure, opposition, aggravating situations, being told what to do and being given advice...whether good or bad.

Natives of Cancer are probably most in tune with those governed by Pisces, since Pisces is prone to moods just like Cancer, but of a less volatile nature. This is a couple who will find peace and harmony throughout the majority of their relationship.

Scorpio, another Sign ruled by the element of Water, would also be favorable since Scorpio is equal to the moods of Cancer and capable of great understanding. Cancer finds the Scorpio depth of character intriguing and will certainly appreciate the rich view of life inherent in the Scorpio nature, to say nothing of the awareness and perception associated with that Sign. This is a couple who will likely provide everything either has ever wanted in a relationship. The physical chemistry here is quite amazing...it is long-lasting and only gets better with the passage of time.
