Will foggy water from a sand bottom kill fish in an aquarium?

That is definitely a fog that you do not want your fish in.2 things that you should do when starting your aquarium with any substrate:Rinse your substrate thoroughly. Run it through water a few times, stirring it as you go, and if time permits, leave it to soak overnight. The most important part that most people miss out: fill the tank WITHOUT disturbing the substrate too much. No matter how many times you wash your sand, pouring water from a height directly into the tank will stir the sand around and almost definitely cause the water to fog up. This doesn't mean that your sand isn't cleaning enough, but it will always contain particles or dust which will cloud up the water - and it is okay for it to do that. But when you're pouring water into the tank, what you should be doing is breaking the fall of the water so it doesn't impact and stir the sand. You can do this by laying one of those transparent plastic bags (that your fish come in) over a part of the surface of your sand and pouring water onto that bag instead of directly onto the sand, so that water flows smoothly into the tank instead of splashing about. An alternative is to lay your hand flat on the substrate and pour water onto your hand to break the impact and flow smoothly into the sand.Step 2 should make your water much clearer. If there's still a slight bit of clouding, just install your filter with activated carbon and let it run overnight - should do the trick.Even sand in rivers and natural environments will cause a clouding of the water when stirred, and it is okay. But in order to prevent clouding in an aquarium setting, care should be taken in cleaning and setting up.

Why does my mother's presence make me so stressed and agitated?

I see you have had a rough childhood, but I have seen this dynamic, even when people have a good childhood, with decent parents. My sister loathes my mom’s every move. My mom is a happy, friendly, helpful, kind person. My sister interprets these personality traits as stupid, unmannered, meddling, needy, and weak. She thinks my mom is not polished, nor professional. My sister would like to control what my mom can do and who my mom can be friendly with. To my sister, being aloof and reserved is how you act if you are smart and professional. To be fair, my mom can also push my buttons sometimes. She is somewhat loud when she enters my house and seems to need immediate attention. She quiets down after a while. One thing she does that directly irritates me is groom me - like if we are out and my shirt has a hair on it or a thread or my collar is crooked, she just cannot keep herself from adjusting my personal appearance. It feels like criticism of the way I look. It is probably her own OCD like behavior.I suspect that in trying to define our own selves who are separate from our mothers, we try to move away from the things that we don’t like about them. Who wants to be “just like their mother”? Almost no one. The irony is that most of us do share so many traits with our mother - myself included. That is a source of irritation. That trait or mannerism my mom has (that I wish I didn’t also have and am pretending I don’t) surely is irritating. It is easier to criticize our mom than to recognize it in ourselves.Another thing to consider is that children sometimes feel the most safe expressing anger toward parents who they know will love them anyway.I guess I wanted to let you know that lots of people feel the same way about their mothers and that it might not be only related to your difficult childhood.

How many hours a day should a 25 month old be awake and how many hours should they sleep?

I have a 29 month old that sleeps 10-12 hours a night and sometimes takes a 2-3 hour nap during the day. She is usually asleep by 1030 and gets up anywhere from 930 to 11 the next morning and she takes a nap about three times a week from 2-4 or so.
