How you start an Acer laptop in safe mode?

You can start your laptop in safe mode by pressing F8 button when the system is booting and this is only for OS until windows 7.If you are running on Windows 8 or 10, you may have to follow like this, Go to Settings (Windows+L), then click on Update & Security>Recovery>Advance Start Up and then Restart Now.After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.Once restarted, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in Safe Mode. Or if you'll need to use the Internet, select 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.

My Mi Redmi Note 3 is stuck in Fastboot mode, I am not able to do restart it or do anything. What should I do to fix it?

If your bootloader is unlocked, the deal is pretty simple. Connect your phone to the PC, install a custom recovery of your choice using ADB+fastboot and then flash a custom ROM/ MIUI ROM of your choice.Else, you might have to follow these steps.Download the MiFlash tool.Download the Global Dev/ Stable MIUI fastboot ROM, they have a .gz extension. Extract them to a folder using tools like 7zip.Connect your phone to the PC in fastboot mode, make sure that you have all the drivers installed beforehand. Now open MiFlash, choose the path of the extracted ROM folder, click flash.Your device will be wiped completely and a new ROM will be flashed. You can start using your device.Cheers! :)

How can I adjust the length of time my computer screen stays active before switching over to screensaver mode?

In Windows 8.1 right click the "Window" when in "desktop" mode. Then left click on "Search" and type in "screen saver". This will take you to the screen saver "window" where you can set which files will be used. Back in the time when cathode ray monitors were used, you could "burn in" a display by leaving the same picture on for too long. With modern LCD monitors this is no longer a problem and screen savers are used just for "entertainment" today. It is my personal opinion that instead of making computers "easier" to use, we are making things more difficult instead! For example, Windows 8.1 is "different" than Windows 8. Which in turn is different than Windows 7. I skipped "Vista", but Windows XP is different from the previous versions of Windows 9.x that preceded it. Then Chromebooks are "different" yet, although the OS is simpler to learn. (so far, as Google will likely "upgrade" it with time)

How can I restart my Android device if the power button is not working?

Is your Android on or off?The method will be different depending on whether you phone is completely switched off, or if it is switched on and is simply in sleep mode. We’ll start with phones that are completely switched off.The charging methodThe first thing to try is plugging your phone into a charger. Some phones will boot up from this action alone. If this fails, try plugging it into your laptop via USB. This doesn’t work with a large percentage of Android phones but it takes so little time that it is always worth a try.The volume and home buttonsPressing down both volume buttons on your device for a long period can often bring up a boot menu. From there you can choose to restart your device. Your phone may use a combination of holding the volume buttons while also holding the home button, so be sure to try this as well. What to do when your phone is still switched onIf your phone is on but is in sleep mode, things are a little easier. Again, plugging into a charger can wake several kinds of devices up. Getting a call from someone can also do the trick so ask a friend to ring your phone. If there is a physical home button (as opposed to a touchscreen button) pressing this will usually wake up an Android phone. If you have a physical camera button, this should also activate the phone.Once it is awake, download an app to help you out!If you’ve successfully managed to use one of these methods to activate your Android, your next step really should be downloading one of several apps that you can use to turn on your phone again without the power button. Here are a few you can use:Gravity Screen (free) – Using the in-phone sensors to detect when you have picked up the phone. It then switches on the device. The effectiveness of the app will depend on how good the sensors in your phone are, so it may not be the best option if your phone is an old or budget modelProximity Actions (free) – Using the proximity sensor to trigger a certain action. While powering on the phone is not the default action for this app, you can select it in the settings.Power Button to Volume Button (free) – Switches the function of your volume button to that of a power button. Only useful if you have a physical volume button on your Android phone.Thank you.

How can I reset my Redmi mob without any data loss?

First take complete back-up of your data by going into settings->additional settings->back-up and reset. Once it completes open your file manager application go to storage section, there you will see MIUI folder open that folder and then you will see a backup folder, open it and after that there is one more folder named Allbackup ( this is the folder which contains all your backed-up data) . Copy this folder and put it in some safe place like in a PC or USB Storage or an external SD card(if you have in your device). After that again go to backup and restore section and perform a complete reset of your device. After resetting and setting up the phone copy that Allbackup folder which you copied earlier and paste that in exact same location i.e ( internal storage> MIUI > backup). After that go to backup and restore in settings and select backup, now the device will show you your previously made back-up, select that file and restore it. Voila! You have successfully reset your device without losing any data.Important note - you have to back-up all your music files, videos, photos and other stuff separately because native backup option doesn't backup user data which is downloaded or transferred in phone, it only backup apps data and user settings, accounts info etc. So please keep that in mind before resetting. Why I have told you to copy the allbackup folder in pc/usb?Ans - when you reset your device its internal memory gets cleaned up completely, if you don't copy that folder all your backup data will get deleted, so you will left with nothing at the end. That's why I told you to make a copy of that allbackup folder before resetting.
