How do you eject a dvd from a Dell Studio Hybrid Desktop Computer?

Is there a way to eject the DVD from the screen or is sliding your finger over the glowing eject button the only way?
I know that you are supposed to slide your finger over the glowing eject button on the computer but it is not glowing and when i do slide my finger over it, it doesn't work.
How can you eject it with out sliding your finger over the glowing button?

How can I pull out a DVD stuck in my DVD player?

Almost all computer DVD players and many standalone have a small hole in the front you push open with an unbent paperclip. See Figure 1. It may take some pressure to loosen the eject tray.If your stand alone player doesn’t have one of those, then you’ll have to open the Chassis or metalwork to access the drive. Typically they have a set of Phillips head screws and some on the side and some of the back, although the individual geometry of the player will vary. Specifics will vary from model to model, and there are thousands of variants. Figure 2 shows a typical older player with the lid removed.See if you can work out why the DVD stuck. In my experiences it has been mostly because the home printed label has come unstuck, but there can be other causes.Figure 1 - Paperclip openingFigure 2 Plarer with lid removedAlthough this shows a CD-RW, not a DVD, this is typical of a standalone player with lid removed, your circumstances will vary.

How can you remove a stuck object from a laptop CD drive?

I accidentally put that fake plastic memory card that comes in laptops into the CD drive opening and now it is stuck. I have tried tipping the computer over and shaking it out, but it still doesn't work. My CD drive is not the type that ejects...it is the skinny opening where the CD just slides in. Pressing eject doesn't work either. Any help would be appreciated!

My computer's CD/DVD drive is stuck closed.?

I've looked everywhere online to try to find a solution, but the only things I've found involve pressing a pin or a paperclip into a hole at the front of the drive, and mine doesn't have one of those. For reference, my computer is an Acer Aspire AX1200-U1711A desktop. The drive is inside a compartment on the front, and the eject button, shaped like a very long bar, is below it. On the drive opening itself, there are no buttons, switches, or holes, it's just a flat bar, straight across.

I've tried sort of massaging the drive, pushing at the sides and whatnot, and I've also tried prying at it from all corners, all while hitting the "Eject" option on the right-click pulldown menu for the drive at My Computer. No dice.

Any suggestions?

Why do cd's and dvd's have holes?

When you stick a cd in a cd caddy and then close it, a little circle shaped thing pops up into the hole, grabs hold of the cd and then starts spinning really fast so the laser can read it.

Windows 8.1 stuck repairing disk errors?

I bought this computer brand new today and it started just fine and then it said it needs to restart so I retarted it and it said "preparing automatic repair" and then it said "repairing disk errors. This might take and hour to complete" once it's done after about 40 it restarts and then says the exact same again, it has done this 4 times now. I can't press anything I have tried and I have also tried turning the computer off completely at the plug. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
