My professor still hasn't sent in my letter of recommendation..What do I do?
So I needed 3 letters for the schools I was applying to so I asked 3 professors for letters. All 3 of them agreed. Weeks after agreeing I noticed none of them sent the letters in so I sent out reminders from the application itself. 2 of them submitted all letters the next day. The 3rd professor submitted letters to TWO of the six colleges I applied to (and they submitted these letters pretty early.. I was shocked)..that had me thinking they sent in the wrong letter or something lol. Anyways after professor #3 received the reminders from the applications she emailed me asking for my resume so she can add stuff to the letter. This is suspicious cause she already submitted a letter for two colleges so I assumed the letter was done..Also, I sent her an email a couple months ago with my resume, transcript, everything in it. But I resent her my resume and sample work from her class. No response. No letters submitted. I emailed her again Dec 26 listing the schools that received it (so she rmbrs that she wrote a letter already) and listing the schools that didn't receive it and their deadlines. It is now 4 days later and ive gotten no response and no letters submitted. Im freaking out cause the earliest deadline is January 15 and its way too late to ask a whole nother professor to write a letter for me. What do I do???

It's not a scam and it's not magic. Your deal will be treated the same as any other. Marketing groups that put together these promos look for folks who've had their cars a few years and might be "level" on the loan (not owing more than the car's worth), or they look for folks who might have put a ton of money down on their recent purchase. If you walked in $10K upside-down in your loan, they wouldn't be able to make a deal with you regardless of how nice your car is... no bank will overallow that much negative equity on a new vehicle. The letter you received is the same one thousands of Americans get monthly... it is nothing more than a promo trying to draw you in to the dealer so they can earn business. "What kind of business model is this?" -- Did you take economics in high school or college? It has nothing to do with the "business model". All dealers operate the same way. There is no magic involved. Since you've only had your car 6 months, I'd throw away that letter. No sense in trading now.
