My Face Is Burning And Itchy

What might be some reasons my face is burning and itching?

It sounds like it could be a very mild allergic reaction to something in your environment. If that is the case, the question because “what’s causing it?” Think about anything that could have been touching your face since this started. Did you use a new laundry detergent on your sheets? Did you start using a new sunblock or makeup since this began?

Itchy Burning Skin on my Face, Neck, and Ears?

Sounds like a concrete burn, I learned the hard way too. Now got 3rd degree burns and scars for life on my legs from not being provided with the right materials to stand in concrete.

But does it burn all the time? If so there may still be some bits of conrete in your skin and will continue to burn through. Go to the hospital and take the safe option. Do NOT put lotion or anything on it, The hospital will put Saline and dress it properly IF it is a concrete burns.

Any numbness usually means nerve damage, I had to endure a plastic surgeon poking around inside my burns for a good bit, And the pain was unbearable. But it is how they check for nerve damage IF the concrete wasnt removed completely.

Why does my face burn/itch?

Hi Surge278,

Your symptoms are consistent with those of a mild allergy. You are probably mildly allergic to a face soap or to a shampoo. You state that you are allergic to dust mites and cats.
Mild allergies are best managed by avoiding the offending pollen/dust/smoke etc.

If avoidance does not relieve your symptoms then you should seriously seeing a doctor/nurse/pharmacist. Antihistamines will be most useful for this condition. There are the cheaper short acting antihistamines (these are cheap) when compared with the second generation antibiotics. The second generation antibiotics do not cause the the drowsiness associated with feeling sleepy. Good Luck.

Help with dry, red, itchy, BURNING skin on face/neck?

This winter my skin has been SO dry (started at the end of Dec.). It's only my face and neck everywhere else is just fine. A few weeks ago my face was just so dry and red but not itchy it actually just burned whenever I'd put on make up or moisturizer. Finally it started to get better but I've noticed it's starting to burn again and it looks slightly red but not as bad and it feels kinda rough on my forehead mostly. Also, now my neck has broken out into like a rash type thing. Theres these very red, VERY itchy, small dry patches and I don't know if it's just the weather or what!! It happened about a day or two ago. I've never had any kind of problem like this at all. My skin has never been so dry in my life! Obviously I should go see a doctor and I plan on it but I can't get in right away. So, I was just wondering if anyone knows what this could be and how can I make it go away FOR GOOD. Thank you!!

What should I do with my itchy face after applying lemon and honey?

Stop putting lemon on your face. I understand that a lot of DIY-ers just love lemon juice. What you have to understand is that lemon juice is very acidic, and unbuffered it can cause skin damage and irritation.Aloe might help with the itchiness you're experiencing in the mean time, but please stop putting lemon juice on your face.

OW my face is burning help (more details)?

Well I can see why you had this happen. This is called a chemical burn. It occurred between the Noxema, Xzema cream and the Regenerist.

Chemical burns: First aid

If a chemical burns the skin, follow these steps:

1. Remove the cause of the burn by flushing the chemicals off the skin surface with cool, running water for 20 minutes or more.

2. Apply a cool, wet cloth or towel to relieve pain.

3. Rewash the burned area for several more minutes if the person experiences increased burning after the initial washing.

Minor chemical burns usually heal without further treatment.

Seek emergency medical assistance if:

* The victim has signs of shock, such as fainting, pale complexion or breathing in a notably shallow manner.
* The chemical burn penetrated through the first layer of skin, and the resulting second-degree burn covers an area more than 3 inches (7.5 centimeters) in diameter.
* The chemical burn occurred on the eye, hands, feet, face, groin or buttocks, or over a major joint.
* The victim has pain that cannot be controlled with over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others).

If you're unsure whether a substance is toxic, call the poison control center at 800-222-1222. If you seek emergency assistance, bring the chemical container or a complete description of the substance with you for identification.

You want to make sure your skin can breathe and heal. If you are insistent upon putting anything on it, put aloe vera gel on it with lidocaine. As in the stuff we use for sunburns.
