My Hair Is Mess Help Curly/wavy Hair

How can I make my wavy hair curly?

I have naturally curly hair, so i am acquainted with this problem.First of all, its very important for you to understand your hair and their behavior. How they respond to different products, weather etc.Try different techniques, routines and hair care methods and then you can judge what is the best option for your hair. There are many people who follow the CG method and some ,like me, have formed their own routine as per their hair.Always oil/deep condition your hair prior to shampooing. They will give them ample nourishment. Always condition your hair as curly/wavy hair tend to get dry. Tie your hair in an old tshirt like a turban and scrunce them afterwards.DONOT comb your hair as this disturbs the curl pattern. You may finger comb them when they are wetDonot use heat or blow dry your hair. Even after getting dry you feel that your hair are frizzy, dull and without proper curl pattern ,you may apply a leave-in conditioner and scrunce them. There are many home made  or natural variants of leave-in conditioner like flax seed gel, water+olive oil or diluted conditioner. Please remember , it is you who has to judge and decide the best hair care regime.P.S: I am not a hair expert. All these tips are from my personal experience.

Thick, Wavy, curly, frizzy, messy hair! Help?

I have wavy curly hair, and I want it to grow out to something like this:

This is my hair:

(it's not as messy as it usually is because i just got out of the shower)

So, my question is, is it possible for me to get hair like that? What do i need to do to get it that way? How long will it take?

How to spike curly/wavy hair?

i have really thick curly/wavy hair and i recently cut it short since i wanetd to spike it. i used american crew gel, but an hr or so after applying the gel, i lose the spiky/pointy look and my hair curls up, and it looks like a mess. anyone know what i should do? like should i straighten my hair, or get another brand of gel, and if so, what kind? also does blowdrying my hair after applying the gel help keep the hair from curling? thanx a lot

How can i make my curly/wavy hair look less messy?

Have you ever checked out NaturallyCurly.com? It's the premier online source for curly, kinky and wavy hair. I've been on it for a year now and love it. They have thousands of hair product reviews for curly hair styles from wavy to kinky hair. Check it out:http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlproducts
They also have a curly hair product site called CurlMart where you can buy many of those hair products.
I have wavy hair that is frizzy as well and my favorite products right now are the AG re:coil and KMS California Sea Salt Spray. They both really help me enhance my wavy hair while also keeping my frizz away. You can look at a ton of different products that will work here: http://www.curlmart.com/
They have really helped me make my waves much more manageable and enjoy wearing my hair wavy. Plus I get lots of compliments on it now, and who doesn't like that!!
Definitely check them out so you can get away from straightening. I used to straighten every day too and now I'm down to once a week MAX because I love my waves now :)
Good luck!

My hair is so curly/wavy/poofy and thick?

I have REALLY thick, curly/wavy kind of hair, and it's SO POOFY D:
The only time I actually see my natural curls is basically after I wake up and it's messy and after I shower, It's curly right after I step out of the shower but when it dries (even if I dont brush it) it becomes HUGE o_O

The top part of my hair is fine, it lies down but as you get down it starts to become bigger and bigger, It looks like a triangle D: kind of but not as extreme as that.
/``(-_-)``\ < kind of imagine that :L

http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/profi...

Kind of like that ^ but not as big.

When I brush it, it becomes like that picture D: It becomes HUGE and SO UGLY :( I feel like some crazy cat lady when I look into the mirror :(

I can't not brush it because then it looks REALLY messy :/

I used to straighten it, but i don't want to because it's just going to ruin my hair even more than before also it's so think that it takes more than an hour to straighten D: and it still looks so think and poofy

When I tie my hair in a bun, 3-5 hours later it curls by itself and my classmates said it looks good in a high pony tail, but i don't want to wait hours for it to curl :/ I also don't want to keep typing my hair up for the rest of my life.

I haven't been able to just leave my hair out instead of tying it in a bun for YEARS :/ i'm still only a teenager and my self esteem is really low because of this :(

Please help me find a solution, I would really love if anyone had a permanent solution and some tips for me.
I'm not a 'girly girl' so if you tell me products - I won't know what those are, (i dont even know different types of brushes/combs or whatever *sorry*) so if you can, please give me some information of it -price, if you can a link to an image of it and where to get it in Australia, Sydney. That would be awesome! I would appreciate that SO MUCH :)

What to do with very thick, wavy/curly, messy hair for guys?

Hi Joe,

First of all, your best bet is to go straight to the source of information for men, the Manly Curls site. Some of the hair gems you will find there:

Tips for curly hair

The majority of guys don't know how to do their curls right so browse the Manly Curls site for your source of information. Some tips I can give you myself as a guy with curly hair too:

1) Cut down frequency of shampoo: shampooing daily dries up curly hair like it is business. Drop down shampoo use to once every 2 days. On the days you don't shampoo, go about your grooming as usual, run water through your hair and massage the scalp.

2) Absolutely no hair brushes: hair brushes destroy the natural pattern of curly hair. Drop it. Only use your fingers to style. Perhaps a wide tooth comb. Look here for more info:

http://www.manlycurls.com/2011/07/the-wi...

3) Start using a leave-in conditioner: very important to keep your curls moisturized. Use it daily, after you shower, on wet hair.

These tips and browsing the Manly Curls site will keep you in hair shape as you grow those curls!

Take care

What kind of shampoo makes your hair curly or wavy?

Cleanser don't change your twist shape. On the off chance that your hair is normally wavy and wavy then you can enhance your twists by saturating your hair and quit utilizing serums and silicone items. Serum can cause develop on hair and make it looks limp and averts it to twist. It is constantly better to utilize a without sulfate cleanser, it will help you to keep your hair saturated.

Poll: Curly, Wavy, or Straight hair?

i think that any would look great with your hair, your hair sounds so pretty! but in my opinion, wavy would look best if youre looking for a hipster/messy look. curls would be for casual/fun look. straight would be an everyday look. you should try french braiding it or putting it up in a ponytail or messy bun. also, it depends on your face shape. if you have a round face, curls would look cuter, and if you had a long/slim face it would look great with straight or messy/wavy hair. hoped this helped xx

How do you turn slightly wavy hair into curly hair?

Aveda has really great products for that. First, use a shampoo and ocnditioner that is recomended to help your hair be more curly. Then, use this product that Aveda has that is called "stay curly" or somehting like that. It is for after your shower, when you hair is a little more wet than damp. After you use the stay curly, comb your hair straight and take a long, kind of wide, cyclinder object, kind of like a drum stick or anything you can find around the house. Even the back of a cooking spoon or a rod of some sort would work. Curl your hair tightly around whatever you chose and hold it like that for about 30-60 seconds. After this time, while you hair is still curled around the stick, spray your hair with a hair spray that is specially made to keep you hair in place. It doesn't have to be a super storng hair spray, and make sure when you buy it that is not a junky, cheap hair spray that coats your hair with junk when you put it on. Pay the extra money for a good hair spray. Afte ryou sprayed that section of hair while it is still wrapped around the stick, wait 10 seconds and then slide the pencil out of the curl. If the curl is to tight shake your head a bit or fluff it while it is still damp. Repeat this for each section of your hair. If you want loosen rings of curls, shake your hair or tip you hea dupside down and shake your hair when you are finished curling all of your hair. This sounds liek it will take a while, but it really doesn't take more than 15 minutes, if you don't include the time taken to take the shower. This works for me perfectly!! It works with all kinds of hair types.
