My Hair Is Really Damaged

My hair is REALLY damaged, what can I do?

Well here is 8 ways to make it better and healthier. The healthier it is the faster it grows and the better it looks.

1-You could go to a salon and ask if they do hair treatments. Hair treatments is when they put a steam machine over your hair for 15minutes, then they wash your hair and brush it out. When they brush it out if it very important they brush from the root not only the ends. then they massage your scalp with there fingers not there nails.
You could go to the salon to do that or just do that yourself without the steam.

2-You could also cut done on using straighters, curling irons, blow dryers, these damage your hair anything with heat involved damages your hair which makes split ends.

3-Also when you finish washing your hair i know this might feel a little cold but your last rinse let it be with cold water.

4-Another thing when people brush there hair they never brush from the root you should always brush your hair from the root this way it spreads the natural oils and makes the hair more healthier.

5-You could also buy treatments that help make you hair stronger with less split ends from a pharmacy they could help a bit too.

6-Egg yoke: Taking a shower with egg yoke helps your hair become shinny and healthier.
7-Mayonas- wet your hair, then put mayonas in your hair let it sit for 5 minutes even though you cant stand the smell, then rinse it out and wash your hair like you normally do with shampoo, this will make your hair look really healthy, smoother and shinny. (i just did it a couple of days ago to my hair and it helped alot)-Leave some conditioner in your hair (deep condintion your hair)

8 MOST IMPORTANTDon't bleach/dye your hair for a while ( a couple of months) your hair needs to breath and needs a break:)

Good luck with getting your hair healithier, Wish you all the best.. hope i helped

My hair is really damaged, should I cut it?

My hair is almost to my waist I think so it's pretty long. I've dyed it and used a lot of heat on it and it's like dead now. It's damaged and dry and there's so many split ends and I want it healthy again. What I'm wondering is, is cutting it all off my only option? Or if I start taking better care of it and get the ends trimmed sometimes, will it eventually be healthy again?

I got rid of lice but now my hair is really damaged?

if you get lice again get a perscription from the doctor......you can call in an ask for it they wont make you come in for it. the in store treatments dont work and they damage your hair. so if you used one of them on the store shelf keep an eye on it the lice might not be all gone

to treat your dry hair you should use a Vo5 hot oil treatment you can find them in the shampoo isle its in a small red shiney box. its only like 6$ if you cant afford that or cant get it for a few days then i reccomend that you wash your hair like normal then ring out all the water wait a couple mins so you dont have a lot of water dripping from your hair then add lots of conditioner scrub it in really good then twist your hair into a bun and leave it over night you should put a clean dry towel on your pillow so you dont have to worry about making a mess. when you wake up you can rinse like normal try this for a week since your hair is so brunt out

i do this if i have something i want my hair to look really good for once your hair is healthy again you can still use this method to get an awesome hair day for pictures or something. but you also need a thick conditioner so it really sticks into your hair herbal essences and pantine makes the best

My hair is really damaged but I don't want to cut it?

Literally almost every strand has a split end on it, most of them are split into like 5 instead of 2, and sometimes my split ends have split ends...and there are a lot of strands that are split in the middle instead of the end. I have a terrible habit of picking at them. Also my hair is just generally very weak, and because I've pulled apart some of the split ends, some of the strands are really thin. Luckily I have a lot of hair - as in, it's long and it's naturally thick, so I'm not worried about it looking thin or bad (in my opinion it doesn't even look damaged), but I still want my hair to be healthy.

I know you're supposed to go to a hairdresser and have the damaged part cut off, but like I said, I have "split middles" way up there, so it wouldn't be as simple as cutting off the ends. Also, I love my long hair and it's at the perfect length and I really don't want to cut it.

I never blow-dry or use heat on my hair, and I know I need to stop picking at them, but is there anything else I can do? Products to use or general tips? I'm also a college student in a dorm so I can't really deal with those homemade remedies where you have to mix together a ton of ingredients, leave it in, and do it every week.

Thank you!

Why is my hair really damaged underneath?

On the top layers it isn't nearly as damaged as it is underneath. Why is it like this? I straighten my hair a couple times a week or so and i use protecting spray. It has been like this for about 2 years and it will not go away! Do i somehow keep frying it? Why won't it grow out?

My hair is really damaged, but I want to bleach it?

I'm 16. I have been dying my hair since I was 12. I have been dying it like, maybe once a month(or even more often). I also have been straightening it everyday. I've stopped dying my hair for 6 months, and only been straightening it 3-5 times a week. My hair is a light/reddish brown right now (I dyed it dark brown 6 months ago but it faded). I really want to go blonde. Will it really damage my hair? Oh & also my hair is really thin (naturally).

My hair is really damaged & dry & oily..How can i fix it?

I have to straight my hair every morning... Cuz my hair is really weavy & curly and weird looking when its dry without a hair straigtner.. I used to have banana curls at the ends of my hair when i was younger but then i dyed it and now i have really weird looking curly & weavy hair.. i wish i could get my natural hair back but i would never dare to cut my hair off to really short and wait 10 years till it grows back.

So, Since i straight my hair everyday because i have to, I try to use good products for my hair.
Im not sure if theyre good or not.
I use "Hawaii" 's shampoo for dry damaged hair. ( With yogurt & aloe vera)
no alcohol.

"CareLine" 's hair conditioner 10 vital complex. color reviving conditioner.

I used to use coconut hair mask. But it didnt really help much. i keeped it for 30 minutes on my hair.

Any tips for how i can fix my hair?
(I do use hair heat protection spray.)

Any good hair products i should buy? I live in Israel. We do have l'oreal paris here.. :)
Any good hair mask tips? :)
And im going to do a nanokertain kertain treatment for my hair to make it straight for a while and stop straightening it for a while.
I heard this treatment makes youre hair more healthy & strong & shiny & straigh no matter how curly and damaged your hair is.

But until then i want to fix my hair.

Thankyou

(Btw, I'm 14 and im about to dye my hair again soon. At a salon this time.. Since i always dyed my hair at home. )

My hair is really damaged. It's to my waist and I've dyed it and use a lot of heat. Shall I cut it shortp?

In my opinion, yes, you should get a trim and by trim I mean not necessarily "short", but up to the section of the hair that is no longer malleable. A healthy cuticle is one that has a bit of elasticity to it. Everything from heat/hair dye to environmental factors and age (not your age, but the age of the hair) can damage your hair, so getting regular trims are always a good idea.If you do decide to get a cut, maintain the health of the ends by using a protein based leave in conditioner. I like Redken Anti-Snap or Joico Split End Mender. This way you can elongate the time between the next trim and your hair.

Should I cut my hair? It’s really damaged, but I am scared of cutting it.

Well there are a couple of things you can do here. You can obviously cut off the dry and bleached (ombre) ends, and it will grow back.  Hair will always grow back, unless you are ill.My suggestion is to have a stylist get rid of the very ends, about 1.5 inches.  Then spend the next three months using coconut oil treatments, and leave-in conditioner to give your hair the moisture it is crying out for, and to improve the looks of it.  Three months will bring you to the time for the next trim.I can tell from your photos that you have textured hair.  Textured (naturally curly) hair needs moisture to be healthy and to ‘behave’ and looks its best.  The bleach that you used is never a good idea for curlys, since our hair sucks up the chemicals and gets dried out more than straighter hair.As you are waiting for the damage to grow out, look into applying a semi-permanent color, close to your natural color, to help blend the sections together.  If you get the yen to color your hair again, remember that the nest results are achieved when you stay within 2 shades of your natural color - don’t use bleach to strip out the color, as it is soo damaging (as you have learned!), and harsh contrast. If you let your natural texture come out to play, you might notice that your hair looks shorter.  It’s not, but the curls and coils pull the hair up closer to the scalp.  A huge plus?  Your hair will look fuller from the volume of the curls.Check out this website:  Where Curls Come to Life  .  They offer photos and articles about ditching the chemicals and being kinder to your hair,  It also has some great info on using henna and herbal teas to color or tint your hair.Good luck
