My Heel And Achilles Are Hurting

I was Longboarding a lot and now my Achilles tendon hurts?

Would this be normal? I've been skateboarding for a total of 5 days, and on the 5th after skateboarding for awhile, I started feeling some pretty bad pain in that area, and I can feel it along the entirety of my tendon. I haven't rode my board for 2 days now to let it heal up, and haven't done anything other than work. (well I rode earlier for like 2 minutes but when I tried pushing, it sent a really bad pain along that area)
My question is, should I get that checked? Or should I just rest for a few more days or something?

Achilles heel tattoo? To much pain to handle?

im not sure which part of your foot you mean whether on the tough part of the back of the foot or just above on the ankle line were the tendon is. To be honest each tattoo feels different depending on the area. i have one on each foot, and one actually hurt more than the other as one goes up the bones on my ankle, but its not an excruciating pain just a little more uncomfortable pain. so in regards to having one on the foot first then on the achilles heel, theres no gaurantee that it will hurt the same, infact you mite even find out the foot hurts more than the achilles heel.
i suppose people have different thresholds of pain too, so what some have found too painful others found it just manageable.
ive got 6 tatoos and all i can say is go for it, for the sake of maybe 20 mins of pain, its worth it in the end and as soon as its done you forget all about the pain anyway.. good luck!! (and be brave) x

Achilles heel tattoo...does it hurt?

My first tattoo was one right around my ankle. The only bit that really hurt was the bit that went over my achilles.

Thing is, all tattoos hurt. And I'm guessing you've heard the saying 'no pain, no gain' lol.
It isn't an unbearable pain and as you will know by now, the pain is all part of getting a tattoo.

How can Achilles tendonitis cause knee pain?

If the achilles is sensitive enough to where walking is problematic, the pain can affect how the person walks at the knee.Say the person doesn’t want to engage their calf muscles much because doing so flares up the achilles. Thus, instead of pushing off like so,They try to compensate somewhere so the achilles and calf don’t have to do as much work. They might push off like this,Idea being if you push the knee forward enough, eventually that’ll get the heel off the ground rather than having to engage the calf / achilles:It’s a roundabout way of getting the heel off the ground. By pushing the knee forward you give the ankle some momentum towards getting the heel up.It’s an approach which necessitates more stress at the knee: the more forward the knee goes, the more work it’s likely doing.Temporarily, that might be fine. After all, it could be what gets your achilles to calm down. But longterm, you don’t want to be walking like this,That is a great way to tick off the knee(s)-Image credit and more: How weak calves can cause knee issues

I got kicked in the achilles heel today. How bad is it?

Hopefully you have got it all sorted out by now, but in case you haven't:
The achilles tendon connects your calf muscles (gastrocnemius and soleus) to your heel. If it is ruptured, you won't be able to use your calf muscles. A way to test this (a little hard to do on yourself, but possible) is, with your foot off the ground, give your calf a quick squeeze at the widest/fullest part of the muscle. An intact tendon will cause the foot to point downwards slightly, like when you point your toe. A ruptured tendon isn't connecting the bone to the muscle anymore, so it won't make your foot move. (Best to do this sitting down, and check your good leg first so you know what a normal response looks like.) See your doctor or physical therapist/physiotherapist if you haven't seen any improvement.

All the best

Achilles heel tendons pain and my knee pops every-time i bend it?

Hello,
For the last year or so I have had pain in my tendons on the back of my left foot (achilles heal pain) i have been to physio and been given stretches to do but they only get rid of the pain for a short time, the foot is often stiff especially in the mornings and it has the feeling that I need to crack my foot to release air.
More recently though I have had this other problem in my knee on the same leg everytime i bend it there is a popping noise, its not painful but can sometimes be stiff first thing each morning, i work out down the gym weights bike and cross trainer etc could this be making it worse as the popping never used to happen until recently?

Does anyone have any advice on how to sort this out? Thanks.
