My Instagram Sends The Reset Email To The Wrong Account

My instagram sends the reset email to the wrong account?

I used the app "Instlike" which turned out to be a scam. Recently I have been trying to get ahold of my account and it just said "To secure your account, Instagram has reset your password. Please tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions to access your account". I did it each time. Now I know that the stupid app I got was a scam. Of course I deleted it and went to go change my password but when I went to get the reset email it sent me an email for the wrong account-- a really old one that I forgot about because it had 0 followers lol. I really don't want to lose this account though; I have about 500 followers. I'll keep trying but I'm about to cry omg if you have any suggestions please

My Instagram is set up with an email I no longer have access to. How do I change my password for Instagram without my email password?

My instagram reset my password but i don't know my email it sent a reset link to?

Hi, instagram decided for secure reasons to reset my password on my account. I don't mind this but it has sent an email to (h_singh_k@live.co.uk) and when i try to login, it says this account doesn't exist. This is because it is my secondary account which I only used to sign up with instagrsm and i haven't used this account in over a year. I searched this case on the internet and it said that a @live.co.uk account will be PERMANENTLY DELETED if it remains inactive for over 365 days. So now a password reset is sent to a account that doesn't even exist anymore. Does this mean I have lost my instagram account for good? It keeps sending a reset password to the email that doesn't exist so i am really confused and don't know if i will be able to access this account. Please help or is there any way to have contact with the instagram team? Thanks

What should I do if I was locked out of my Instagram account?

There are a number of scenarios where you may be unable to log into your Instagram account.Lost PasswordIn this case you should be able to click on “Forgot” next to the password field. You will then be able to get a password reset email send to your registered email address.Lost UsernameTo find a lost username you also must click on “Forgot” next to the password field. Instead of entering your username you can enter the email address you first used and press “Search”, then click on “send password reset email”. In the email your username will be mentioned in the greeting. No longer able to access email address you first usedIf you are logged into your account, you can change the email address associated with your account by clicking on your “Profile”. If you cannot log in and you cannot access your email then your only remaining option is to reset the password via Facebook. This will only be available if you have previously linked Facebook and Instagram. To do this you follow the same procedure as for Number 1, but click “Reset using Facebook” instead of the option to send a password reset email.Account DisabledIf your Instagram account was disabled, you’ll see a message telling you when you try to log in. Accounts that don't follow our Community Guidelines or Terms of Use may be disabled without warning. Instagram suggest that you review the Community Guidelines carefully along with the posts on all accounts you've created. If you think your account was disabled by mistake, you may be able to appeal the decision by opening the app, entering your username and password and following the on-screen instructions. If you don’t see a disabled message, you may be experiencing a login issue. If your account was deleted by you or someone with your password, there's no way to restore it. You can create a new account with the same email address you used before, but you may not be able to get the same username.I hope that helps

How do I reset my Instagram password if I put in a fake email?

ITS NOT IMPOSSIBLE I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ok so your going to go to the hell center and type "I got hacked" so then you it asks for email that you want them to send everything to and so you type it then you type your username and then your old email don't worry type something else instead then they'll send it eventually so then they'll give you code and stuff and then they'll tell you the steps how to get it back yes you may be lying but if you want it back then that's how you do it so any way I actually got hacked so.. Ya but hope it helps

- Are any of the filters set to move all emails to Trash?
