Cell phone got wet and now it won't charge?

This is common for a wet phone to say "unable to charge".

You need to pull all the moisture from the phone and components and then you will have a fighting chance to get working again! Probably the most proven method to drying out a phone (several articles on this) is placing it in a zip-lock bag overnight with some Silica Gel Packets. The Silica Gel will pull the moisture from the components of the phone. From Comments and Reviews on these articles (like the one at iphoneatlas.com) people have had good success with this drying method. You can get Silica Gel Packets just about anywhere on the internet, just Google Silica Gel Packets or visit http://www.silicagelpackets.com

What is the best way to fix a wet iPhone?

Hi,It's quite common these days to get your iPhone wet. It can be a horrible feeling though when it happens as you're really lost with what to do. There are some things that can be done though. You could fill the container with uncooked rice as it seems to remove the internal moisture.Use Silica gel granules or silica gel packs instead of the rice. They speed up the process.I read about this here. If your phone still gives issues, the best thing to do is take it to a repair center. Try iService.

My phone charger got wet... still safe to use?

It will not burn your house down even if you plugged it into the wall and put the phone end into water it would however fry the resisters inside it and the transformer. As the first post said let it dry and it will be fine. Don't wrap it in a towel that will stop airflow and hold the moisture in after the towel gets wet it is useless, however putting it in a zip-lock bag of rice(not quick rice if it still has noticeable water and sticking it where the sun, in front of heater, or other ambient heat source for a few hrs will allow it to dry completely(did this to my friends Iphone last time he dropped it into the beer cooler and it worked great)!

My phone got wet and touch is not working. What should I do?

Below are some of the tips you should follow when your phone gets wet.Switch the phone off. Once you take out the phone, switch it off. This is very important to prevent short circuits within the phone body. Remove the batteries carefully and let it dry.Remove the SD Cardand the SIM Card.Lightly Dry Off Your Water Damaged Phone and Accessories. Use a completely dry cloth to lightly dab the wet phone and all the components you took out. Do not wipe. This will just cause the water to spread around. Also, don’t use a hair dryer to dry the phone. This may damage the internal components.Put Your Water Damaged Cell Phone in Rice for Three Days. The rice will absorb the liquid from the phone and will also dry it more quickly. Just make sure to use dry rice and feel free to put it in to a Ziploc bag or container.Once you’ve waited three days for your phone to dry put it back together and try to turn it on. If it doesn’t work then try replacing the battery. If that doesn’t work take it to the store and see if there is anything else you can do.

Dropped my iphone 4 in soda! what do i do?

I turned on music and the volume doesn't pop up at the bottom and you cant listen to anything out loud.. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

How do I fix my iPhone speaker?

My iPhone 4 I can't on?

When is it too late to put my iphone 4 in rice ?

If you left the iPhone somewhere and if we include the time it will take you to get this reply, then it's already too late.

But put it in rice anyway... and then after that, open it up and let it dry nicely, if you see corrosion anywhere, try and clean it with a little alcohol (the cleaning alcohol not the drinking type!!)

If it still doesn't start, then unfortunately there's nothing else to do...I wouldn't recommend fixing it because you can get a used like new iPhone 4 for around 280-300$ on Craigslist. Just sell this one of eBay or something as Parts. Because even though you spend money to fix the iPhone, it will never run the way it did before it got wet.

Hope that helps.

P.S- How the hell, did it fall in the toilet?
