How do i get rid of the black spot on my ipod touch screen?
Did you rub it a little too aggressively? Is the big black spot deep black, not showing the screen through it and shaped like an inkblot? If it is, then it possibly means that the LCD liquid is leaking and there is nothing you can do about it. Sorry.. I'm pretty sure that Apple doesn't replace iPod screens. You might have to buy a new one. Try getting the warranty, but I doubt they'll offer it because the damage is inflicted by you.

It sounds like a dead pixel. There are dead and stuck pixels, if it is black it is most likely dead. There claim to be various ways of fixing them, I am pretty skeptical of that. Help! My iPod touch has a big black-ish circle it it! I accadently dropped it land ever since, the circle wont go away. Please help. that iPod has all of my pictures from a play I was in that ended almost a month ago called cats. My make up, costume, feline friends, and my trip on the tour to NC. This is because there is a loophole in the bootup operation. Basically, if you let it die completely, it cannot even charge properly. This is due to the fact that when it charges up, it has to boot up and load something that sends information to the motherboard, telling it that it is being charged up. This motherboard must then send the information back telling the iPod it is charging. When you don't have any power, it CAN charge, the iPod just wont realise it. Not sure why, my guess is that you need a bit of power to tell the iPod it's charging. Even if it HAS enough power to tell itself, it wont. This could be an Apple software flaw or simply an Apple Money Scam. Either way, if you can, try and replace the battery yourself or find a shop that does it cheaply. Only go to an Apple store as a last resort. They charge LOTS to replace a battery. You may be better off upgrading...

My iPod nano's screen is black but still works?
My ipod nano (the newest one with the touch screen) screen went black after I had it plugged into my step-dad's stereo thingy. At first I thought the batterys died so I plugged it in to my computer to charge, unfortunately then the screen stayed black- but itunes detected it. I plugged into the stereo thingy again, and it still played music, but the screen was still black, so I couldn't choose the songs or anything. I've tried restarting it and I've tried restoring it, but nothing has fixed the screen. Also, my ipod HAS been through the wash a few times but after each time I dried it out, plugged it into my computer, and it worked fine again.Oh, and the very end of my headphone jack(the headphones that came with the apple ipod) broke off inside the ipod, so I can only listen to my ipod plugged into a dock or something, until I figure out a way to get it out. Itunes keeps popping up and saying it has sensed and Ipod in recovery mode, how do I get it off of this black screen? I have already updated it and it has fixed this problem but I want firmware 4.3.3, I have tried using tinyumbrelle (which I couldn't downgrade with because I didn't save my shsh blobs in the first place) Ireb and one other program which use Limera1n to try to kick it out and they didn't work (tinyumbrella isn't even recognizing it) please help.
