My Migraine Started At Three And I Think It Is Finally Gone

Why does my migraine go after i throw up?

Wow, that sounds like what I went through while growing up in my early teens. I don't know how old you are, but in my family, migraines usually hit the male men during puberty. I think it has to do with how your body is changing especially during puberty and the early teens. For me, it lasted for about 3 years. My problems was, sometimes I would skip a meal (lunch) and would go out and play in the sun. I would come go back to class or home and get tunnel vision. That would lead to a pounding of a headache and like you, would affect my stomach to the point where I had to vomit. The second after I would vomit, I would feel so much better.

It's normal, not everyone experiences it, but for the people that do, only get it for a certain time during adolescence. If you are really concerned, see your doctor. He might be able to prescribe something and educate you further on the headaches. My problem was that I did not eat right, but then again, some things are just unavoidable during a developmental period. Good luck

What can be causing a migraine that has lasted 3 days straight?

A migraine usually lasts from 4 to 72 hours if untreated. For me personally, my migraines last for sometimes 3 days straight and all I can do is just sleep or put a wet cloth over me forehead to reduce the nerve tensions in my head. For a person who suffers from migraines, they know that they happen for about 12 times a month(for me). Some symptoms arePain on one side or both sides of your headPain that feels throbbing or pulsingSensitivity to light, sounds, and sometimes smells and touchNausea and vomitingBlurred visionLightheadedness, sometimes followed by faintingMigraines can be triggered from different reasons depending on the person. For me, my migraines trigger when there is loud noise, light, stressed, or when I use the computer alot(the UV rays and extra light bothers me). For some people, after a migraine attack is over they may feel drained and washed out which is also known as Post-drome in which you feel confused, dizzy, weak, and are sensitive to light and sound.People have different remedies to their migraines. Some might eat choloate and drink coffee while others might avoid coffee, so it really depends ont the person. Though migraine causes aren't understood, genetics and environmental factors might play a role. Migraines may be caused by changes in the brainstem and its interactions with the trigeminal nerve, a major pain pathway. in your brain.Imbalances in brain chemicals which helps regulate pain in your nervous system also may be involved. Researchers are still studying the causes of migraines and no specific cause has been found out yet.

Migraine symptoms?

Last night I had a horrible headache and felt nauseous that I couldn't sleep and finally after like 2 hours of being able to sleep, I wake up and I'm tossing around in bed and not being able to sleep because of a throbbing sensation in my head. So I went down and took some Tylenol PM and after 30min, I finally fell asleep. Is that a migraine? I'm only 16. But I mean, recently it's been really stressful for me and I've been crying for about 3 days and I'm not eating much because of it. Could that be the reason?

What can I do to prevent another? What can I do to relieve another one?

Migraines !?

has anybody else who suffers from migraines had like a tooth ache with it ? where their jaw aches too and keeps aching after the worst of the migraine has gone ? my face all down the lefty side and my left eye was agony it was just throbbing for 2 1/2 days its finally calmed down but my cheeks and my gums are still hurting as if ive had my teethed clamped together for days i thought this would have been gone by now as the rest got better this morning is this normal ? sorry its been a long 1 lol :)

I get migraines about 3 times a week and latley it's been more than that.?

I suffer from frequent migraines. I've been put on all types of medications by my neurologist, and nothing seems to be working. Excderine migraine used to work like magic but latley it does nothing. I've found myself taking up to 10 pills a day when the recommended dose is only 2 pills in a 24 hours time frame. I've followed all dr.'s orders by going to the eye doctor and getting a new percription for my contacts, and also going to the dentist for my T.M.J. My neurologist seems to think that I get my migraines from my T.M.J. but the dentist says she can't do anything for it. I take my perscribed migraine medications at the same time everyday and still get frequent migraines. Is there anything else I can do to help prevent these migraines and be able to live a normal life? My neurologist has also done blood work, ct. scan. MRA, and an e.e.g. all showing up normal. Is it possible to have hormonal migraines? Latley I have been so moody, and no I am not pregnant, but when i was pregnant i didn't suffer from any mirgaines. My migraines are normally on the front of the left side of my head, and are also accompinied by nausea, sensitivity to light, sound, and movements, and I also get really dizy at times. Is it time to get a second oppinion from another neurogolist?
