My baby looks nothing like me?
dont feel bad - my son looks nothing like me either! he looks juuuust like my husband... it doesnt mean that all of your children will look like him. with your daughter, the egg and sperm that created her had his genes as the dominant ones but for other children, their egg and sperm may contain different genes.
Why is it that I look nothing like my mom?
That is because of the way genes work. Genes don't actually "mix" like the colors in a palette.Each bit of genetic information is a tiny independent bunch of information, and what they do is combine, get "remixed" and re-combine at each cycle: fertilization (when the new person begins), gamete production (when this new person produces eggs or sperm), and reproduction (when this new person makes a baby with somebody else). Now, although some characteristics are determined by simple gene pair combinations (for instance, sex in humans in which the XX combination produces a female and XY, a male), skin color is a complex character - it is determined by several genes, each with different alleles. The same happens with other traits such as hair color and shape. And we just see the visible trait that results from the combination, but not what gene pairs (alleles) are there. So you have, on one hand, a character that is in itself complex - that's the reason for so many different skin tones in humans. And on the other hand, you must remember that your mom has her own combination of gene pairs that probably includes some from "lighter" ancestors. Even if your combination means that you have beige skin, you might have the darker skin genes and your future kids might look more like your mom :-)
What would a baby with 2 mixed parents look like?
Me and my girlfriend are both mixed , black and white . Were both light skinned , but were dark enough so that were classified as black . lol . so if we had a baby , what would it look like ? weird question but ive never seen a kid where both its parents were mixed . i know it would probably be light skinned, but how light? would people be able ta tell it has black in it? lol i read something about black genes being dominant . so i think it would be different then a white person and a black person having a baby. seeing that only one person has black genes. but me and her both have them. but i think this is long enough , i was just curious . lol .

That is what happens when you have a biracial baby. He will be lighter than you and darker than his dad. Black/white biracial children can look Hispanic or native depending on how their facial features turn out. Besides he is only 2 weeks old. It will take up to 5 years for all of the subtitles of his bone/muscle structure and complexion to develop and be noticeable.

Why is my mixed baby so dark?
my bf and I jus had a baby boy 2wks ago. I'm black and he is hispanic bt our son looks too dark. His skin complexion is between both of ours bt he's more like me. He looks exactly like me with dark curlyhair. Evry1 says he should be lighter like my bf. I feel like I failed him, like I didn't do it right. He says it doesn't bother him that he's a little dark. Its just other ppl.

Why does my Biracial baby look white?
lol I feel you I have 3 biracial daughters who look white, one even has blonde hair! there daddy is darked skinned and couldn't believe it. I look like i been with a white man. And the other day I met a black man whose baby had blue eyes and blonde curly hair and he said I know.. But its mine. So your not alone. I thought the same thing you did I kept wondering when they would get their color, nope my oldest is 4 and she is whitest hell.
