I'm 18. Can I leave the house whenever I want?
You are a legal adult and can come and go as you please. However, since you do live in their house, you will have to accept the consequences like them maybe locking you out of the house if you leave or because you did not come back home when they thought you should. This is not right, for them not to allow you to be an adult but they sound very controlling and mean. So as long as you do live there, you are stuck for those reasons. They cannot stop you from moving out if you choose. If you room with a friend or another family member, they cannot stop you in any way. You are free to go for good if you like and cannot get in any kind of trouble for that. If you leave though, I would make sure that all of your stuff goes with you because they sound cruel enough to not let you have your things later, just to be controlling. As for a drivers license, you do not need to own a car. Apply for a license, if you have any experience driving, maybe a friend or family member will let you take the drivers/road test with their vehicle. At least you will have a license to drive when you do buy a car or need to use someones to get somewhere. Amazing how parents refuse to let go sometimes and lie to their kids.
How do I move out of my parent’s house with no money?
I'm 19 years old, and I need to move out! I I have a job but I don’t make a lot. I can’t get a second job because I go to school, I also pay a lot in bills (rent to my parents, My car note, my car insurance, cell phone bill, not to mention things like gas in my car lunch here and there.) I don’t now what to do I can do anything at all! I cant date I cant go out with friends unless they know who they are and I'm forced to do a religion I no longer want to do. I have no friends or family that will help me so if I leave I have to be on my own. Please help I feel like I'm going to have a brake down.

Why don't younger houses have attics like older houses?
Liveable attics cannot be built when the newer homes use engineered roofing systems. If you get a chance, take a look at one. The truss structures are easier to assemble and less expensive to erect than older roofs. Unfortunately, the result is that you can barely move around in there. And it is unable to bear the kind of weight older home attics can. Thus, you do have an attic, but you can't store anything in it, much less live up there.
