How do I tell my mom that I broke my phone?
Tell her the truth.This question brings a few things to my mind.Some years after i got glasses for my eyesight, the doctor recommended i use contact lenses. Abbu (my father) brought me a pair. It cost quite a lot. I wore them, took them off, put them back in their case. Unbeknown to me, one lens had a part of it caught between the cap and wall of the case. When i twisted the cap open the next day, the lens tore up. I ran to Abbu, crying. He patted me and brought me a new pair.And the end of my orthodontic treatment, the dentist gave me a retainer to wear, which cost Rs. 5000. It was the early nineties, and this was a big sum of money. I wore them all day, then took them off and put them on the tray under the bathroom mirror. I don't remember exactly how a commotion was caused but the next thing i knew, the retainer went flying in the air and landed straight in the toilet seat. Abbu was in the office. I called him. I was crying so hard he had trouble understanding me. Again, when i told him between sobs i could never bring myself to put the rescued retainer in my mouth again, he told me he would get me another one, and he did.In 1999, Abbu got me my first computer. This time, my younger sister broke the switch on the case that turns the computer on. She told him how it happened. He didn't do anything except to call the vendor. The computer vendor told Abbu he would have to replace the entire casing, and charge him Rs. 10000! Abbu stayed mute for a day. Then he mended the switch by himself.In 2003, he got me my first mobile phone. I remember it cost him Rs. 11000. It was a simple nokia phone. I took it with me to my new job, and lost it within the first week. Someone stole it from my desk. Cell phones were very susceptible to theft in those days. He listened to my story, told me how to get my sim blocked by the cellular network, and bought me the same model again.He taught his girls to tell him their mistakes openly. I don't remember him shouting or raging at the end of any of our confessions.In 2006, i got married. This is what Abbu said to my husband in the early days of our marriage:"She tore her first pair of lenses, she threw her first retainer in the toilet, she messed up her first computer, she lost her first cell phone… that being said, my son, you are her first husband!”
My mom took my iphone away for 1 week?
I'm angry... :( My mom took my phone because she said I was playing too much. For. one. week. I mean, its Summer! I had nothing better to do, and my mom won't take me anywhere :( I'm on my phone for 9 hours a day... I don't know... I have to update my facebook, reply my texts, post on instagram cause I post daily!, check my email, finish my blog, and etc! It's not fair. How can I get it back? Any tips? Also, i'm writing this as fast as I can before my mom sees me. She always changes the spots and wont listen to me... Thanks, I REALLY need to check my instagram! P.s. Wow after reading this myself...
My mom took away my iPad for no reason. What should I do?
So, it's the last two weeks of my summer vacation. I like to use my iPad to watch videos and write/publish my original stories. My family is very conservative and Christian. I have had an iPhone since I was ten. I've grown to disagree with a lot of their opinions. I haven't told them any of this. They think I'm just playing games. I've gotten the iPad/iPhone taken away because I was caught doing it at night before. I always get it back after a few weeks. Today my mom just took it away for no reason. She just said "it's time that we do this again." She said I could be doing more. She says that it's a drain on my creativity. I had to do driving school last week: that meant me getting up two hours earlier than usual. So yeah, I was a little behind today. I wanted to sleep in. When she took it away, I didn't object. I just got really quiet. She keeps asking me if I'm mad. I'm sick of sucking up to her. She's backwards and a hypocrite. I don't know what to do. I've been staying in my room even more, just to prove her wrong. I'm typing this with my old iPhone, that she thinks I sold to my friend. What should I do? Ten points for best answer!
I Want my phone back so bad!?
so i had my iPhone 6 taken away for 3 weeks because i didn't clean my room and my mom is still trying to hold on to it and the date im suppose to get it back i feel like shes doesn't want to give it back ! i want my phone so bad ! thinking about it makes me cringe because i miss it so much i love my phone and i really cant live without it ! i hate my mom so much i have her laptop and she doesn't know where it is and until i get my iPhone back i wont give her my laptop back!
Can your school keep your phone permanently?
Ok, so I was using my iPhone to take notes. I had it in my pocket when my other teacher saw it poking out (in my other class). He took it and called my dad. My dad didn't really mind, because he thought it was unreasonable since it wasn't even out. But my teacher told me if he sees it again and will keep it until my parents come. I asked him what would happen if my parents didn't come(because they're busy at work and probably would want me to deal with my own problems) all he said was, well then they better cancel you plan, because the school will have gained a new iPhone... I ask my my mom and she said they can one keep it for sometime without a search permit from the police but I don't think this is true... Help please? Because I don't think it's legal not to give your phone back

I'm 13. Before you say I'm just another spoiled 21st century brat who thinks they have the worst in the world, please read this. I know I'm extremely fortunate to have an iPhone 4S, and that I have my own room, and live in a pretty big house. I love my parents to death, and sometimes ;) my sister. But I also paid for my iPhone and for the first two months paid my bills until my mom saw that I was doing good. I recently got my report card and am studying two high school courses (I'm an 8th grader) and have gotten all A's except one B in gym and that was a 89 because i barely missed a point on a field hockey rules test... My mom said it was alright though since gym isn't important academically. Anyways, some chores I do for the house include: the laundry (all of it, folding, bringing up and down, detergent, sorting color and black and white, etc.), put away the dishes, collecting the trash, vacuum and wipe the stairs with a washcloth every now and then, clean my room when asked, etc. I also do the daily basis chores like getting the mail when I get off the bus, moving the trash cans to their designated spots, etc. I also massage my mom nightly (sounds weird, not to my mom). I think I do a pretty good job for the family and I do have a social life but my mom barely lets me do anything unless its going to a friends house or a friend coming over. It took hours of begging just to go to the movies with one friend and my "more easy going" dad helped convince my mom. I've gone to the mall with a friend 3 times my entire life and my mother NEVER likes driving me to places at all. Even to school events or when i go to a friends house. Anyways, I'm going to stop complaining and get to the point. My mom takes my phone away depending on her mood. One time she saw a rubber band in front of my room and was in a TERRIBLE mood and freaked out on me and took my phone away for a month. No lie. She's also very denying. She never wants to hear me out. Sorry its so long... :/ thanks! :)
My mom won't let me wear a bra?
I'm 13 and my mom says that I cannot wear a bra until I turn 18. When I can buy them. We do not have money problems. I tried explaining to my mom that people tease me and I even showed her a website on the importance on wearing a bra. She grounded me for a week. Once I stole and washed a bra from my friend. I felt terrible. It was a 32A and it was to small. My mom caught me and made me return it to my friend. She grounded me for 1 month. I have gym and its painful to run. She won't even buy me a sports bra! It's terrible changing in the locker rooms. I asked for a cami and she said no. Then I asked my aunt and she's the same way and said no. My moms mom didn't let her daughters wear bras until they were 18 either. All my other family lives far away. So I asked my friends mom and she bought me one and I have her money. My mom took it away. My sister is 16 and doesn't wear one either.
