Usb port not working?

Alrighty...so everything I plug into my usb ports (I have 2 ports...toshiba laptop) nothing shows up. I've had this problem with my itunes (no ipods will show as connected), digital camera, and a flash drive. I know it works in some way because right now my flash drive is plugged in and the blue light on it is on...but in "mycomputer" it is not there. I've gone to the control panel > system > usb and it says everything is working properly.

I have tried to do lots of stuff...restoring computer settings, running anti virus and spyware programs, restarting everything, uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, camera software. I've been having this problem for probably about a month.

What do I do? I'm not very computer smart, and this is very frustrating!!

I have windows xp.

What to do if pen drive get wet?

It should be fine once it is completely dry. You can also try using a hairdryer to help it along, just dont get it too close that it melts it. Otherwise just let it air dry for maybe 24-36hrs just to be safe, and you should be just fine when you plug it back in. It should be ok with sunlight through a window, but don't put it outside.

Just be sure you DO NOT plug it in when it is still wet. If you do that, then electricity will pass through it, and fry your drive and ruin your data.

Why does my Flash Drive not work for USB Loader GX?

My flash drive is a Datastick Pro 32gb. According to the list of compatible USB Devices, (http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/USB_Devices_Compatibility_List) it works. I plugged it in to my computer and formatted it using UBFS Manager. I put it into my wii and load up USB Loader GX. Then the error message comes, like always. "Error: USB Device not found. Going to channel mode." Help!

I am unable to write files to my USB OTG pen drive using my smartphone . What is the problem?

Sorry to hear this problem. Try the following,1. Go to settings>storage>unmount OTG, then mount the pen drive again. Now open file manager and try using pendrive.Follow the below steps too,1. Connect the flash drive with OTG cable to the phone2. Go to settings -> storage.3. Click Mount SD card under "USB Storage"Also note the fact that, normally this is related to the drive being formatted in a file system that is not compatible with Android. Android appears to only like FAT32 while most USB drives are formatted with exFAT or NTFS. If your device is Rooted you can use Chainfire's Stick Mount from the Play Store which can access the device with virtually any format.Otherwise, you will need to find a way to format it with FAT32. I had a 64GB dual USB OTG drive that would not work correctly until I was able to format in using (removed) to FAT32. Of course you will need access to a Rooted device to do this.Hope you understand the problem and fix it :)
