My Presentations Lasts For 5 Days

Have you ever skipped class on presentation day?

once, in a class where we were allowed to skip 5 days.

I have a presentation in 2 days, I'm nervous?

Tips for doing a presentation

Know your subject matter really well and practice reading to your dog or just out loud to yourself ahead of time.

Look over the heads of the class at a point on the wall in the back of the room. The class will think you are looking at them, and the teacher will think you are looking at your audience.

Don't notice any reaction from the class. Their reaction doesn't matter, but it might make you feel more nervous.

Concentrate on what you are saying rather than how you are saying it.

Don't try to keep from stuttering as that will make you stutter more. If you stutter, just let it happen.

Maintain a steady pace, not too fast, and don't get in a hurry to "get it over with."

Speak in a relaxed manner and pause every so often.

Start into words easily keeping your lips, tongue, and jaw relaxed.

Realize that stuttering occurs more often when you are trying NOT to stutter, when you are under stress, and when you are tired.

How can I make my oral presentation last longer?

So me and my friend are doing an oral presentation together about any story we choose that has to be "magical". We chose The Wizard of Oz :) My friend is going to do the resume of the story and I will talk about the analysis of the story. We have to do 3 minutes each. Her part is 3 minutes but mine is less :( and I absolutely have to get atleast more than 3 minutes or else I lose points. How can I make it longer? There is no visual aides allowed in this oral because my teacher said no. Thx

How did you prepare your last presentation?

I was very afraid of giving presentation and demos in front of audience. My first presentation went well, but I was not having confidence to say that it was good. One day before presentation I had sever stomach pain, tension and due to this didn't sleep properly and had loose motion. This all happened because of stage fear. Second presentation was pathetic as my demo system was slow and due to this I lost confidence. I felt very emberraced in front of all. Being 8 years experienced person I was not able present confidently. I had sleepless nights thinking about my weakness. In third presentation, dialog delivery was messy due to tension. Fourth was little ok since the content was less. Now, I had to present my entire feature over call to beta customers. I was communicated before one week to prepare well. I was so nourvous. Same stomach pain, tension, loose motion followed me through out the week. I wanted to prepare well since team and manager were having full confidence on me.In between I went through one Ted ex talk. How to be confident and how to overcome fear. Only one solution was given there. "FACE YOUR FEAR". Yes. I decided to face my fear. I practised well. Practice makes man perfect. There was a dry run just to see how we are prepared. My team was impressed about my confidence and content. One thing was sure, I was showing fake confidence. But surprisingly it just worked. Haha. My brain was little confident that time. That day arrived. I was little nourvous. I just followed what I practised. Didn't talk more nor less. Didn't pause anywhere. My colleague was surprised. I got good appreciation from my manager and product manager. That day was memorable day. I delivered my demo confidently.I know this is just a small step. Still I have to traverse long path. I will take help of tedx talks, books and quorans. I will improve my presentation skills and also communication skills.

Nervous about a group presentation in my class?

Use a PowerPoint slide show if you have computer resources available to you. I swear by PowerPoint. Putting a visual up for your audience will give them something to focus on besides you. It puts the spotlight on the projection screen and off of you.

If you don't have computer resources in the classroom to use PowerPoint, you can always do it the old fashioned way. Make your slide show and print out the transparencies on a good laserjet printer. Then, use an overhead projector to do the show for the class.

Make printed handouts for your audience. Give them notes to read and scribble on while you are talking to them. Again, this shifts the focus a little bit and takes some of the pressure off of you.

Make your own detailed notes or outline to follow. Don't try to stand up there and talk off the top of your head. Have a written reminder there in case you forget what you were planning to say.

Practice your presentation before you stand up in front of the class. Time yourself and make sure you are not going to be too long or too short. Plan for it to be a little longer than the half hour because you will speak faster when you get nervous and in front of a group. Also, the most familiar you are with your material, the easier it will be to share it with others.

Remember that, since this a group thing, you are not alone standing in front of the class. Use your group members as your support. If you forget what you are going to say, know that one of your team members is there to pick up the slack and help you out.

Talk to your instructor about your nervousness if it becomes a real issue. Although I think it is great that teachers make students do presentations, I also understand that there are just those who are not cut out to be public speakers or presentners. If you can't do it, talk to him / her, but be prepared for the reaction that you are likely to get (a grade cut, etc.) if you refuse to do the assignment. Use this as a last resort only.

Good luck with your presentation!

How do I conduct a good thesis presentation within 5 days?

Some assumptions need to be made here. I am assuming that you have all the materials you need to present and that all research required to pass your defense is available, and that your adviser has agreed that it is sufficient. I am also assuming that this is a Master thesis (using the American definition for a thesis, for a PhD it would be a dissertation). With that said, I should remind you of the goal: to demonstrate that you have performed original research, with results at a level that are commensurate with a Master degree (specificity dependent on your institution/adviser).If that's the case, 5 days would be plenty. Also, this applies to a great presentation, not a mediocre one.Divide: break your presentation into parts, like introduction (short), discussion of existing knowledge (short), problem you needed to solve (medium length), research work (medium length), results (detailed discussion) and conclusion (short). I am using relative terms since you did not specify how long your presentation is going to be.Conquer: After you have broken up the presentation into parts, think about what your audience needs to hear in each part. Start with a liberal amount of content, and you will notice your presentation is likely going to be too long. Distill it down to the most important points, then create the slide content. Your slide should be clean, with clear data (and not too verbose). You should aim that your audience will be listening to you, instead of reading everything on screen. Your slide should be supplemental to your talk.Practice: Once you have the slide deck down, practice. Your script should be mostly memorized and if you need any note, make it very short and only uses it to remind you of the content. Don't read from a script.Get feedback: You should pre-present with both your peers and your adviser if she/he is amenable to that. Get feedback. Tweak. Practice.Hope this is helpful. Best wishes on your defense.

Which is the best way to prepare a 45 minute presentation in a few days, including PowerPoint slides?

Let’s put PowerPoint to the side for a minute.A good presentation really comes down to one thing - whether or not your audience (whoever they are) appreciated it.So, the best way to prepare a 45 minute presentation, or a 1 minute presentation, or a 3 hour presentation, is to ensure you are aligning the content with your audience’s needs. What I’m saying it, study your audience’s needs. This should be the first thing you should do ever.Once you’ve done that, you can now start to create your content by building a story. This is called story-boarding, and this is an important step for you to take in any presentation. It allows you to set a path to your story (for example, a common business presentation would have something like Introduction > Objectives of the presentation > Content that correlates to the objectives > Conclusion.)Be sure not to make a presentation until you have your story in place. It really helps with planning. Now, when it comes to making awesome PowerPoint slides, I can help you with that with my practical guides.
