My son was arrested for a "food fight" where is the justice in that?
My son is 17 years old and a junior in high school. Yesterday he and a bunch of his friends started a food fight or so says the principal. My son told me that he was hit with something and he threw a milk in the air and he yelled out food fight and all hell broke loose. After about 6 minutes it was over and my son and 2 others were arrested for disorderly conduct! with a 195$ fine. I'm a firm believer In discipline but i don't think that the cops had to be called in, he's suspended for 3 days from school and has a court date next wednesday. They literally handcuffed him and put him in the back of the police car and took him to the station and I had to go pick him up. I'm not happy about it and I don't condone food fights but it's a food fight! c'mon! I think the school should have made them clean up the mess and serve detention. It's really unnecessary. I guess it wasn't that bad of an experience for my son because he was laughing about it when I picked him up...am i right? or even make them clean the cafeteria for the rest of the week. don't they police have REAL criminals to arrest? Sure someone could have gotten hurt but nobody did! It was a harmless prank but now it's such a big deal.

My view any physical attack on any personnel should be condemned and punished.The student is a juvenile in the court of law but his actions are very concerning to the society as it reflects the attitude of Indian teens.They are much arrogant much more reluctant to know the law or follow it. Any such activity should be taken into accordance by the concerning law enforcement agency and the justice have to be given to the victim.All students and young citizens of this country should follow the law and use the whatever legal framework is in place. A good legal system is present in India it may not be efficient but reacts in prime time. Our country need to have the knowledge of rule of law and all civil rights of every citizen and follow them.

You need to ask this question within the context of where you live. Where I live in Washington DC you won't become a principal without a Master's degree in at least Education. You're more competitive if you also have a MAster's degree in Administration. Both of these Master's are easy academically but do take time. My sister lives in Wyoming where's there's a shortage.
