My Scalp Is Slowly Turning Into

Why is my natural black hair turning brown?

Was your hair black or dark brown in the first place. Caucasian people don't usually have black hair. Unless there is ethnicity in the gene pool. It's the darkest brown before the black colour of Indian, Asian or any other ethnicity, coloured hair.Hair is never one colour. If you grab several strands from one person's scalp, you will see different undertones and highlights in the shafts of hair. It's why hair looks luminous. As you lose melanin in your hair it lightens. Natural colours change with our bodies chemistry. You can not stop it. Natural blonde's go “mousey” brown. Redheads go brown or grey. Brunettes have the largest range of natural colours that can go any colour.Hormones and diet are the 2 main factors for the pigmentation in our hair when it changes. The shaft of hair can tell Dr's how your diet is and what medication you've taken as well.

Why is the hair on my scalp growing at a much slower rate than other people and how can I make it grow faster?

almost all hair grows at 1/2 an inch a month. that is perfectly normal..not slow at all that is whats considered normal hair growth rate.to speed it up there’s only 1 way i would ever recommend.. a vitamin called biotinyou want a fairly high dose 10,000 - 15,000 mgtake it every day , but it takes 3 months daily intake to build up therapeutic levels enough to start seeing its effect. that effect being double or sometimes triple the growth rate.biotin often is sold as simple biotin, or as hair and nail vitamins (will also increase nail growth rates and strengths) and prenatal vitamins also contain biotin and wil increase growth rates.biotin infused shampoos might help for short term use but over use of biotin externally will make the hair dry and brittle.all growth happens not in the hair but below the skin in the bulb called the follicle. the blood caries nutrients to the root through capillaries . so feeding the hair the nutrients it needs internally is really the only way i would recommend increasing hair growth rates.but like i said there’s no need to, your hair growth rate is textbook normal.

How long should i let head and shoulders for my dry scalp sit in before rinsing ?

how long should i let my shampoo for my dry itchy winter scalp sit on my hair before rinsing ? usually i just rinse it out right away after scrubbing it in although i m beginning to think thats why its getting better so slowly . i read let your shampoo sit in your hair for a good 2 minutes , that way it has time to absorb into you scalp . is that about right ?

My scalp hurts when I touch?

Are you in the sun a lot? it could be sun burnt . don't agitate it and when washing hair rub slowly in circles

Can you put conditioner on your scalp?

I'm wondering if putting conditioner on your scalp will make it oily. I've never put conditioner on my scalp before, but I still have an oily scalp. No, I don't wash my hair every day. I was wondering if I should put a conditioner on my scalp to replace the bad oils with good oils? Is my hair becoming oily because its so dry from me washing it and not putting conditioner on scalp? Thanks

Whats the best way to massage your scalp?

How to Give Yourself a Scalp Massage

Do you want to boost healthy hair growth? A poorly treated scalp can lead to dandruff, and itchiness. The solution is to give yourself a scalp massage.

Pick an essential oil which would be good for your hair type. For example, if you have dandruff, use tea-tree or lavender. Use peppermint oil or rosemary oil if you are experiencing hair loss. If your hair is overly dry, use rose oil or chamomile oil.
Remember: for every tablespoon of the oil that you are using (olive oil or almond oil, etc.) only add a maximum of two drops essential oil.
Brush your hair at first, to get rid of flaky parts. If you have long hair, start at the ends of the hair to prevent breakage. Also brush your hair while tilting your head upside-down to improve circulation.
Put a small amount of your oil onto your fingers. Begin massaging in small circular motions near your temples, then move your fingers out over the rest of your scalp. Slowly, add more oil to the tips of your fingers when you need it.
After all your oil is used up, place a warmed towel on your head and leave the oil on for approximately 10 minutes.
Wash out the oil with a good shampoo and conditioner. (If your hair is very dry, you can leave the oil in for a whole night and wash in the morning). While shampooing you might have to wash twice.
Do this regularly, about once a week. Notice the effects as you turn it into a regular routine

Big paddle brushes are best for long hair.
When rinsing your hair, after all the oil has come off, quickly pour some cold water over your head to stimulate circulation.

Warnings Be sure that the essential oils do not trigger any allergic reactions

good luck & god bless
