NEFT operates in hourly batches - there are twelve settlements from 8 am to 7 pm on week days (Monday through Friday) and six settlements from 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays.Post the cut-off, it would most likely go through on Monday morning. Hence, I took one general ticket, went to the concerned platform and boarded the train (in sleeper class). Aftersometime the train started to depart and as usual a TTE came for checking. Nowthis is where the real story begins.Encountering 1st TTETTE: Ticket???ME: Sir, I am having General ticket because it’s suddenly planned.TTE: What should I do?(In Anger)ME: Sir, Please provide me a berth and in return I will pay fine.TTE: Okay, Sit here and I will come again to collect fine.(Took my ticket and wrote seat number and coach)Me with some sigh of relief, shifted to my allotted coach.After sometime the TTE came again.TTE: Is 27 yours??(27 is the berth allotted)ME: Yes Sir(without hesitation)TTE: Okay.I was waiting for him to ask the fine but thank god he didn’t (Don’t know the reason,maybe his memory is not that good or maybe he thinks that I am the original berth holder.)MISSION NO. 1 ACCOMPLISHED.After some odd hours the train crossed West Bengal and entered Orissa. As we all know that whenever the train switches States, the TTEs will also change.Encountering 2nd TTETTE: Ticket??ME: Here It is Sir.TTE: You are traveling in sleeper class with a general ticket. You must pay fine.Me: Sir, I already paid the fine and in return he (1st TTE) allotted me this berth.TTE: Oh, Is It? Then show me the challan???ME: Sir, He (1st TTE) told me to pay a fine of 900/- with challan and also gave me another option of paying 500/- without challan. Sir, like everybody I went on choosing later one. Hence, I have no challan with me.(with some innocence and presence of mind).TTE:Pcchhh…Because of these corrupt people our India is still a developing country. Okay, You sit down. Depends on your pay structure and if you are being compensated for the time it takes to address his texts. If you are a salaried employee, your boss can text away without concern. The employee does not have a leg to stand on complaining about the annoying texts.Hourly employees may have a leg to stand on. If you are paid hourly, request compensation for the time spent addressing the texts. Thanks for asking. Typical day in Infosys Mysore will be as follows.Classes will start from 9:00 AM. Educators are very particular about timings and may not allow you to enter the class if you come late.Most of the times you will get a break around 10:30 or 11 AM for tea but it depends upon the educator. So don’t bank on this.You will have your lunch break around 1 PM. FC’s will be jam packed so you will take approximately 1 hour to have your lunch.Classes will commence from 2:00 PM or 2:30 PM depending on when you were given the break but you will get approximately 1:30 hours of lunch break. In afternoon it will mostly be lab assignments where in you will apply the theoretical knowledge that you had gained in your morning class.Class will end at 5:30 PM. After that it is upto you if you want to stay in GEC to study. If not you can make use of facilities like Gym, Swimming pool etc. GEC will remain open till 11 PMI hope I have described in detail the schedule. Thanks.
