Shoulder pain after incedent ?

give it another week if its not better then go to the doctor. It is possible that you tore your rotator cuff it is also possible that you tore your labrum. You will probably have to get an mri with dye to see what the real problem is if the tear is bad enough you will have to have surgery if its not that bad you could get by with doing physical therapy. To give you an idea on the time frame for surgery I had a bad tear in my labrum and it is going to take me about 6 months to be back to 100%

Did my chiropractor hurt my shoulder?

I've been seeing a chiroractor for 2 months now. He's been working wonders for my back, neck and hips. However, the last adjustment I had, I told him my right elbow and fingers were numb and painful. He adjusted my shoulder by placing one hand behind my shoulder and the other in front. He rolled me back slowly and then pushed down fast and very hard. I heard an explosion and it seemed to relieve some pressure. After a few minutes my arm felt weak and was hard to move. The pain eventually got so bad I went to the hospital and they said I have Rotor Cuff Tendonitis, possibly damage to the Rotor Cuff itself. I've been told by another patient of his that there is no way he could've done that much damage, he said it's probably just how it heals. My chiropractor is out of town for the week and I'm not sure who I should talk to. Any advice??

Shoulder and Hip pain from sleeping on a futon?

I have been sleeping on a futon for almost 6 months now. It hasn't given me problems until about a month ago, when I started sharing the bed with my boyfriend. At first, I thought it was because we are both very tall (he's 6'3", I'm 5'10") but now, even when he sleeps in his dorm I wake up aching.
I have tried sleeping on my back and my stomach, as well as putting pillows under my back/shoulder and between my knees to keep my spine straight, nothing seems to help.
Any advice?

Please keep in mind that I am a college student on a budget. My futon is really all I can afford.

6 months pregnant with pain under left shoulder blade?

A chemical called 'relaxin ' is made during prenancy along with lots of progesterone, both cause muscles to soften and stretch more easily - perfect for labour - not so good if you over stretch without knowing it.

Chances are you have just streched your shoulder / back / even your diaphram will cause pain under your shoulder.

Even just carrying a growing baby in your uterus / stomach muscle area can cause other muscles to strain trying to compensate for your failing stomach muscles !

Often it is impossible to even say what movement you were doing that over did it.

Try rubbing on some muscle ache cream ( Deep Heat or similar, or a natural peppermint & arnica cream).

If it doesn;t ease up in a day or so, see your Dr they can point you in the direction of a physiotherapist to help your shoulder.

I have terrible shoulder/neck pain....?

I have a suggestion that may help. I don't know how you feel about alternative medicine, but it did wonder for my shoulder and upper back pain. I, too was hurting severely, so bad it felt like I had broken my collar bone.. I hurt from the top of my shoulders, to the collar bone, to the shoulder blades and near my spine. I went to regular doctors who told me the same thing. Finally, I went and seen a doctor of chinese medicine who speiclaizes in accupuncture.. I though ti would hurt, but it felt GREAT!!! It was a BIG pain relieft for me and since then I have had no pain!!!! I kid you not. I never though ti would work but afterwards, i felt to so relaxed and pain free.. I went for a couple more treatments and since then I have had not pain.
