My Smartphone Is Not Switching On Just Restarting. Help .

Sometimes when I restart my smartphone the battery level increases, why?

During use the battery is under load continuously and that will start to drop the percentage or bars for battery. During a restart the battery is not under load for very short time but just enough for it to recover a little from the load of the lost power. The way battery do this is the electrons that have broken lose on there way out of the battery for lack of a better way to say it return home. Tus making the battery appear fuller than before the restart. Just to also note that the amount gained will quickly deplet.

LG chocolate phone keeps restarting! please HELP?

When I turned it on, the phone would just keep restarting.
About one or two times, the screen just turned white;
i had to take out the battery for it to turn off again.
its been happening since last night, but i dont know what could have caused it.

I charged it and it is working fine right now, but I'm afraid to turn it off now.

I heard from my friend that she had similar problems with hers, and when she went to the Verizon store, they replaced it for her but I'm not sure if she had insurance.

so basically, is there a way to fix my phone or do i have to replace it? Also, if i have to replace it (i have no insurance on it) will i have to buy a new one, or will they give me one for free? I got my phone feb. 2007

Is it good to switch off the phone while charging?

You shouldn't use your phone while it charges. Use it all you want, as long as you're not using a sketchy third-party charger. There are scary reasons behind this myth. People believe that using a phone while charging will make the phone explode, or electrocute the user. Charging your phone overnight kills the battery. Your phone is smarter than you think. Once it's fully juiced up, it knows to stop charging. That means the battery isn't even in use at all. You don't need to turn your phone off — ever. Your phone may be a machine, but it still needs to take a few breaks. An Apple Genius said that in order to maximize battery life, you should turn off your phone from time to time, especially when you go to bed at night. Turning off your phone is important for Android devices as well. A simple reboot can help restore battery life. Don't charge your phone until it's completely dead. It's better to charge your phone every day than to do a "deep charge" from time to time. Heat will ruin a battery. This is absolutely true. Heat and tech don't generally go hand-in-hand, and that's no different with phone batteries. Lithium-ion batteries heat themselves, and get hotter while they're being charged. Cold weather can also have a negative impact on a phone's life, and a cold battery will die faster than usual in low temperatures. Your phone will be safe if you keep it within its recommended temperatures; Apple says 32 degrees Fahrenheit is the lowest recommended temperature for an Iphone’s environment. Samsung, on the other hand, guarantees its phones can function anywhere between -4 and 122 degrees.

How can I restart my Android device if the power button is not working?

Is your Android on or off?The method will be different depending on whether you phone is completely switched off, or if it is switched on and is simply in sleep mode. We’ll start with phones that are completely switched off.The charging methodThe first thing to try is plugging your phone into a charger. Some phones will boot up from this action alone. If this fails, try plugging it into your laptop via USB. This doesn’t work with a large percentage of Android phones but it takes so little time that it is always worth a try.The volume and home buttonsPressing down both volume buttons on your device for a long period can often bring up a boot menu. From there you can choose to restart your device. Your phone may use a combination of holding the volume buttons while also holding the home button, so be sure to try this as well.What to do when your phone is still switched onIf your phone is on but is in sleep mode, things are a little easier. Again, plugging into a charger can wake several kinds of devices up. Getting a call from someone can also do the trick so ask a friend to ring your phone. If there is a physical home button (as opposed to a touchscreen button) pressing this will usually wake up an Android phone. If you have a physical camera button, this should also activate the phone.Once it is awake, download an app to help you out!If you’ve successfully managed to use one of these methods to activate your Android, your next step really should be downloading one of several apps that you can use to turn on your phone again without the power button. Here are a few you can use:Gravity Screen (free) – Using the in-phone sensors to detect when you have picked up the phone. It then switches on the device. The effectiveness of the app will depend on how good the sensors in your phone are, so it may not be the best option if your phone is an old or budget modelProximity Actions (free) – Using the proximity sensor to trigger a certain action. While powering on the phone is not the default action for this app, you can select it in the settings.Power Button to Volume Button (free) – Switches the function of your volume button to that of a power button. Only useful if you have a physical volume button on your Android phone.Thank you.

What is the difference between boot, reboot and root in a smartphone?

Thanks for the A2ANow I will explain all three of these differently Boot - This basically means to start up your device or just switch it on , whatever you would like to call it . It means to start the OS in your device , which will then start up to be used by the user in any way that the person wants .Reboot - As the name suggests , this means to shut down your device and restart it , just like restarting a computer or laptop . A phone could be rebooted for many reasons like if it hangs or if some apps are not responding or something . Technically , we should manually reboot our phones every day .Now root is totally a different topic as it involves hampering with the internals of the device and trying to change some software so as to it supports even more customization and hence you can change a lot of more things in such a mode .Hope this helps .....

Is it good to switch off your Android phone whole night?

You need not necessarily switch off your phone every single night .I recently came across an article in TIME Tech website.I’ll write here a few extracts .I’ll leave the link below .Smartphones, have batteries and only draw power from an electrical outlet when they are plugged in. Moreover Batteries in phones have a finite lifespan — the more that you use them, the faster that battery wears out.In general, smartphone batteries have a life of between 300 to 500 full-charge to fully-discharged cycles.Powering down your smartphone at night won’t help preserve the battery, since it’s unlikely that you'd be using the device at that time, anyhow. In fact If you run your battery all the way down to zero every once in a while ,once a year is fine , it makes the percentage count on your battery more accurateSo once a year, not once a week, power your phone off all the way. And don’t let anyone else — not even your IT guy —tell you otherwise.Source-Do You Ever Need to Turn Off Your Smartphone?
