My Stomach Hurts Because I Feel Like Throwing Up But I Can

Is it normal for my stomach to hurt after throwing up?

Your stomach is trying to eat itself. You were in the middle of digesting your food when it suddenly left. Take a few Tums or some other type of antacid. Also try drinking some water (as long as it doesn't make you puke again). Hope this helps!

How do you not have tums??? Go ask your parents for an antacid!! If they really dont have anything then eat a few crackers or something.

My stomach hurts but i can't throw up?

You can be having that stomach pain because of tight muscles in your back that are pressing onto the nerves going to your stomach to make that pain. Because this happened during the night it could have happened because of how you were sleeping to get them to touch the nerves to make the pain. You wouldn't be able to throw up if your stomach was empty which, after a nights sleep it should be. To get rid of the pain you have to free up the muscles in your back to get the pressure off the nerves to the stomach and here's how to do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

What should I do if I feel like throwing up but can't?

I came here looking for an answer, now I’m leaving behind an answer.Up until a few minutes ago I felt terrible, and it was that way for like over 30 minutes. So what did I do?I’m pretty sure it was something I ate that made me sick, so I was looking for a way to get me to throw up to get it out, as that makes me feel better most of the times. I tried everything to speed up the process (just like the OP I felt like throwing up but couldn’t) but it didn’t work. I had a headache that made me lose focus to actually think of something to help.So my mother tells me that maybe I should take a painkiller, to at least get rid of the headache. I told her no way, I would insta throw up like that. And we both went silent and then I took the painkiller.Never had a painkiller that showed effect within a second before, gotta give the maker a 10/10 for that :P Now I feel better without any of the symptoms I had before. Not saying you should take a painkiller, but something like that might help for you too. Even if it’s just a big vitamin pill it will probably help. I haven’t tested it though, and I hope that I don’t need to.Now for all the other answers asking the op why would you want to throw up? Simple, because if it’s something in your stomach you throw it out and you feel better after. The only way I can get to feel better is to throw up sadly.Hope you get rid of whatever causes that annoying feeling.

Stomach ache from throwing up too much :( Help please!?

If you've stopped throwing up you're probably ok, but you might have muscle pain for a couple days from extreme vomiting, that's happened to me a few times where I've been extremely sick, my stomach muscles and back muscles will ache for a day or two. Ibuprofen or something like that that is easier on the stomach than aspirin will help if it seems like muscle pain, also, a heating pad will also help your stomach feel better. If you think you're getting better, I would wait it out, most of these things in my expereince and from what my doctor tells me, go away in a few days.

Of course I'm not a medical doctor, and if you're still vomiting or dizzy or have a fever or really weak, you should go to a doctor.

I feel like I'm going to throw up...?

Right now I honestly feel sick to my stomach. I'm swallowing alot and my stomach is hurting like crazy. My parents are at work and no one is home right now. I looked in the medicine cabinet to see if there was any medication to help prevent me from throwing up but all there was were cough medicine, and other types of meds that will not help prevent throwing up. I can't leave the house to go get some medicine at the local drug store, but I don't want to throw up. I am actually scared of vomit. I think I might have the flu or something, but I don't know. Does anyone have any tips to make sure that I don't get sick?

Why is my stomach hurting after a bad throw up session?

Does anyone know why my stomach hurts after I threw up 2 days ago? I ate some really spicy chicken wings after drinking a cup of coffee (i know its not a great combination) 2 nights ago. I threw it all up that night and had it come out the other way the next morning. I think the wings were too spicy for me because my stomach is reacting in a really painful way. It hurts if i don't eat and get hungry, if i do eat a little, if i just sit still. :( this sucks

Why does your throat hurt after vomiting?

The contents of your stomach is acid - hydrochloric acid is an essential ingredient tn the process that starts the digestion of protein in your stomach. There is a mucus lining in your stomach that protects the stomach from being damaged by the digestive process (unless you have stomach ulcers). As the mix passes into the duodenum, the acid is neutralized so that alkaline digestive processes can proceed.Your oesophagus, however, is only “designed” to handle food entering the system. This is usually slightly alkaline from saliva (assuming you actually chew your food). Whenever food goes the other way, either by leaking past the pyloric sphincter (heartburn) or by vomiting, the acid tends to damage the oesophagus, throat, mouth and teeth. You are being digested, so yes, it’s going to hurt. It’s a really good idea to rinse your mouth after being sick, drink water (possibly antacid) to flush out the acid, and if you have time and opportunity, clean your teeth.

What is the best food to eat after throwing up?

Try something that does not smell too much like garlic, onions, or meat or fish. They used to encourage bananas, rice, apples and toast. You might enjoy potatoes, pudding, watermelon, pears, cucumbers for satisfaction and relief of dehydration and sore throat.
