My Veins Hurt Is This Normal

Why do my veins hurt after working out?

when you work out, your muscles need more oxygen so your red blood cells expand in order to carry more oxygen per hemoglobin unit. This increase in size can cause irritation on the walls of your blood vessels.
Eating spinach increases the iron content of your bloodcells so they will not have to expand so much. This effect is the basis for the character Popeye.

Why do my veins hurt...?

All of the veins from mid-forearm up to my fingertips will hurt. Not at once, but one at a time. Different veins each time? And it's not the muscles because one of my veins sticks out on my hand. It's that exact line, too. It only goes away when I stab it or something? Is this a condition? Is it in my head? :\ Help?

My veins hurt sometimes

ok... either youve had a stroke... which i doubt... or you have squished veins... which i doubt

you probly have been either hit on the wrist very hard, making it swore when blood pumps through, and if you sit on your foot when you sit down, it might compress the veins... making blood flow hard and painful

Is it normal for the penis to hurt after masturbation?

Yes, your erections are caused by blood being trapped in your penis, causing it to inflate. However, after a while the oxygen in that blood is used up and the cells inside your penis begin demanding oxygen. You perceive that as pain. That is why a guy typically can't hold an erection for much more than thirty minutes. To get an erection right after the last one doesn't give it enough time to recover.Related to that, there are several internal muscles that come into play when you have erections and ejaculate. One is the muscle that clamps down on the exit veins in your penis to cause the erection. Another closes off the bladder and opens the pathway to the ejaculatory duct. Of course, there are also muscles around the ejaculatory duct itself that causes the semen to shot out. When you have another erection, all these muscles are gearing back up for work right after working. They are sore, haven't had a chance to rest, and they are grumbling about the demand.A third reason is that an ejaculation squeezes out semen from the seminal vesicles. To have another erection soon after ejaculating causes the body to get prepared for another ejaculation, but that means squeezing out more semen from glands that are pretty much empty. That too is perceived as uncomfortable. Finally, the nerves in your penis, especially the glans at the end, are frazzled from the sexual excitement. They are hypersensitive after an ejaculation, so any touch or even the inflation of the penis, is perceived as painful.Your body is just reminding you that you need a bit of time to recuperate.

My arm still hurts from IV?

It could be a myriad of issues such as an embolis from part of the cather breaking off to air that got in or even the needle portion going through the vein itself . It should not still be hurting after a month I would recommend a call to your PCP or local er.
I do have a couple questions as well .
How is the area around where they gave it to you ?
Is this the first IV given to you ?
What does your arm feel like , cool , warm, normal , or hot ?
Do you have any redness streaking up your arm ?

For now you can try a warm wash cloth on the area to see if that helps . If they punctured the vein all the way through it is likely you have a nice bruise that is paining you which can be a normal side effect of it .. Do you happen to remember what the color of the IV cath was in your hand , white/grey , orange , blue , pink or green , this is the part that they hooked up to the tubing and bag and the part that sat on your arm./hand and was taped over ..
~edit~
A first IV can be scary , and painful if not inserted properly . They still hurt upon insertion but should subside once in and once out . The fact that it is still bruised leads me to believe they punctured both sides of the vien , the bruising can also be caused by not holding pressure on the spot where they took it out after removal (usually only 5 minutes or so )
The fact that you dont have streaking or hotness , or coldness indicates that you have good blood flow there and dont have signs of an infection(s).
A call to your doctor will alay any fears that you may have , they may also want to see you to rule out an embolis . (They are rare but do happen on occasion . ) Try to keep warm compresses on it and limit the amount of use of the hand/arm for now , if you do not see any improvements by week-end a call to your doctor should be placed .

Why do my veins in my wrist hurt whenever I cry?

A few things can cause a problem like this however it will most likely be tracked down to your nervous system in one way or another. It could be muscular and relate to local tissues around your wrist, or could be psychological and eventually diagnosed if followed up with as fibromyalgia, or it could be osteopathic such as a pinched nerve within the cervical or lumbar spinal cord, it could be also be a neurological problem as a miscommunication in the brain, or it could even be a problem with an axon that is running down your arm at the site of your wrist. It may behoove you to follow up with a neurologist because crying and pain at the wrist is not a typical manifestation of a certain disorder, so it may be idiosyncratic.

Vein hurts while playing guitar?

It isn't the vein, it's the muscles and ligaments under the vein. Although I can't see your playing I'll bet that you are playing with your hand rolled and your back slightly hunched. Is your guitar neck to wide? Is the area you are playing in uncomfortable? Try sitting on the floor with your back against the bed or a wall and play more upright. If you still don't have more comfortable results go to a music professional or shop, have them watch you play, and get advice. :)

How do I deal with swollen veins under my tongue?

Veins under the tongue normally look really big in the mirror because lifting the tongue to look under it causes the veins to be compressed and blood pools in them. If you do not feel the swellings when your tongue is in the normal position, it is not a problem. If you ARE feeling swellings under your tongue, it is more likely to be lymph nodes, not the veins. Lymph nodes will swell when there is infection in the mouth area. If you feel sick, have a fever, and the nodes are painful you should see a doctor. Likewise if only one node is swollen, feels hard and irregular and you are a smoker or middle aged person, you should go to the doctor even if you don’t feel bad because cancer can present like that.
