I crashed my car and now horn doesn't work?

I drive a 2000 Mercedes Benz E320 station wagon and I had a front end collision with another car. After getting my hood and grill replaced, the horn no longer works. When I hit the panic button, the lights still flash like it is trying but no sound, also when I hold down the horn nothing happens. Any advice on how to repair or how to determine what the cause of the problem is? A fuse or maybe a broken part? Thanks so much!

Continuous Probability Question?

The time until the light in Bob's office fails is exponentially distributed with mean 2 hours. The time until the computer crashes in Bob's office is exponentially distributed with mean 3 hours. Failure and crash times are independent.

a. Find the probability that neither the light nor computer fail in the next 2 hours.

b. Find the probability that the computer crashes at least 1 hour after the light fails.

I believe I have the answer to a., but any help setting up b. would be much appreciated.

Dropped my laptop, it now is slow and freezes. Any help?

I dropped my laptop the other night and though it had a bit of cosmetic damage, it seemed to be alright; it was still on and working properly.
Later that night I went on to start a program and I waited and waited and finally got the infamous "blue screen of death". I restarted and it had to do a disk check, so after waiting for that, it finally started up, but was very very slow. I left it on that night while I slept because I was downloading some files that would take a while, and once I woke up, I had realized my laptop had frozen after about an hour of no use. I had to force-shutdown and restart, and it did a disk check again! Still very slow, and is freezing after about an hour of no use every time.

Now I'm not too worried, I'm on my way to getting a Macbook so I can handle these little hangups for a while, but if possible, I'd like to know how to fix this!

Thanks!

How fast will it take a plane to crash?

There are too many unspecified variables here. The speed at impact depends on a great many things.

Airplanes tend to fly even when they are out of control. The wings are still on, so they still create lift in most situations. This greatly modifies the trajectory of the airplane and makes the direction and speed of impact highly variable. It's conceivable that a plane could hit the ground at several hundred miles per hour if it's completely out of control, and this has occasionally happened, but it's quite rare.

It's a bit like saying: how fast does a car crash? Well, it depends on many things. There's no set answer for cars or for airplanes.

Crashes can be divided into two broad categories: those in which the airplane is out of control, and those in which the airplane is under control. Crashes that occur in an out-of-control airplane tend to be violent and fatal to all. Crashes that occur in an airplane under positive control are much less violent and often highly survivable. As long as the pilots can control the airplane and can see where they are going, they can often minimize the violence of impact. The overall survival rate for airline crashes (both controlled and uncontrolled impacts) is above 75%, and it's much better if you consider only the controlled crashes.

For example, US Airways Flight 1549 experienced a controlled crash into the Hudson River, with 100% survival and only one injury (a flight attendant cut her leg). At the other extreme, Alaska Air Flight 261 crashed out of control into the Pacific Ocean at high speed, going straight down, and everyone was killed.

Google Chrome keeps refreshing!!?

Yes. What you need to do is Go to settings an disable instant. Fastest way to do that is just type instant into the search bar in your settings menu. Once you get that menu, just uncheck the box. But you need to do this from the incognito tab, otherwise it will keep refreshing on you.
