My Zit Ripped Off And It Is Not Healing. What Do I Do

Does removing the scabs off a healing wound speed the healing process?

Scab removal is on a case by case basis. If it is thick dry and adherent, then in my wound center we would cover with a dry dressing and see you back in a week. If it starts to separate and get moist around the edges, then you may have to remove it, either surgically or through other means. As Dr Harris noted, at some point the scab, which is initially part of the healing process, is going to inhibit wound healing progress. It is a judgement call.  Wound centers are very good at this.

I ripped off the skin from my zit and it's oozing a lot. What's going to make it stop?

Toothpaste does NOT work. That just angers it and makes it ooze MORE and makes it burn too.

It's really bad to rip off the skin, I know, I know. But it's too late now! This zit is the kind of zit that is deep in the skin so there's basically no pus coming out, only plasma (the clear stuff that's oozing out) and blood. And it's on my chin. :( I always get the deep-in-the-skin zits on my chin.
There's no more blood now but it just won't stop oozing and because it's an open wound I decided to put triple antibiotic ointment on it so it will heal more smoothly and quickly.

Ripped off my skin on a pimple...ehh? Pleaseeee please please help?

I still have a scar from trying to rub off a zit in the 6th grade, which rubbed off my skin. i am 24 now. my sister squeezes, picks and pokes her zits too. i can't stand it.
neutragena makes a good zit cream, it is the benzyl peroxide one. i also use their other face cleansers and lotions. they work pretty well if you are interested in something better than toothpaste. someone told me to use that once too and i think it actually gave me a zit.
just please don't pick them. use a zit cream and a toner to dry it out and then it will pop on it's own. i use the benzyl peroxide cream even when i don't have zits just to keep my skin dry.
as for your scar, vitamin e is probably a good choice or an ointment (for cuts, scraps and burns.) might help. my friend has even sworn by ointments that are antibacterial to help fight pimples. hope this helps. thanks for listening.

Should I massage a ripped-off pimple or would this make everything worse?

Definitely keep your hands of it!Use a gentle cleanser that won’t irritate the skin any further. While I could suggest putting something on it to help the healing process; truth is the skin is amazing at healing itself so I would say just leave it alone. You could of course cover it up using a bandaid during the day, to avoid contact with bacteria, the sun, etc. But let the skin breathe at night.Good luck!

How long for this popped pimple turned wound to heal?

certainly will not heal by tomorrow, but you do need to stop putting tissue on it! That just rips off the healing skin each time you remove the tissue and will never allow the wound to heal.

Put a dab of polysporin on a sterile bandaid (don't touch the dropper tip to the bandaid) and apply the bandaid over the wound. Do NOT take off the bandaid for at least 8-12 hours; it's best to do this in the evening so that you'll have a good stretch of time before you have to be out and about. The moist wound environment will encourage healing. Do not apply tissue anymore!

In the morning, avoid washing the area, just splash water on the area and do not even rub cleanser or anything over it; let that spot dry on its own. If you don't have to go anywhere, simply reapply the polysporin (or whatever antibiotic ointment/cream you have) and the bandaid.

I picked my pimple & tore skin off.. help!!!?

okai okai....dont hit the panic button just yet!

first off, dont touch it! i really mean tie ur hands together if u feel the need to touch it. anyway, when u tore the skin off...did it bleed, did a clear fluid come out? does it feel rough and dry... if so, u have a scab. try not to pick that off either. it will last from 3-7days if left alone. u can put some neosporin to keep it moist and ruduce the scar a little. now i hate to say this, but by the way u described this, it must be pretty awful. dont worry when the scab falls off and the skin heals up, the area should be red/pink. put lemon juice on it!!! it really works. take a lemon, cut it in half and use a q-tip to soak up some juice and rub it on the red mark. do this everynight after u washed ur face and apply the lemon on the red area. leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning. there may be some peeling and it may sting .... A LOT, but trust me its worth it. u should start seeing a diffrence in a about 2-3 days. dont stress. ps: if it ends up as a small hole/dent in your cheek, dont bother with it. go see a dermatologist and he/she can recommend something for you. hope i could help

I popped my pimple and accidentally ripped of a piece of my skin. The skin is still halfway attached to my face and if I move it I can see blood underneath. What should I do?

First and foremost, never pop your pimples. This is one of the reasons why. You risk ripping your skin, infection, and scarring your face.Cleanse the area with peroxide. Put a sterile bandage over it. Go to a dermatologist to make sure it’s not infected.

Popped pimple , need overnight heal , fair tomarrow with hot guy , hheellppp . !!! .?

Try to use toothpaste!
It will dry those suckers up overnight and if it's not fully healed in the morning, the pimple will be a lot less noticeable.

But if a scab has formed over it, then just use Neosporin on it. If the worst happens you can always slap a band-aid on.

How often do you rip off acne scabs?

Pfft, I don't care if it's not good for your skin, I know sounds a bit shallow, or whatever, but I'd rather not have a massive pimple scab on my face and look better for a party.

DW I do it ALLLL the time.
