Navel piercing question!?
I'm thinking about getting my belly button pierced,soon. I'm really nervous and I'm wondering does it hurt? How do they pierce you and how long and thick is the needle? Give me some advice about belly button piercings. thanks=]
How can I treat an itchy navel piercing?
If your Navel Piercings is itchy, this most likely means that you are in the process of healing. Keep up with your seasalt soaks (water and seasalt). Put the solution in a shot glass and place over your piercing while lying down. Hold this position for about 5 min to make sure the solution soaks into your piercing channel. If this is uncomfortable you may use a q-tip. You may also use any antibacterial soap on it. Once your piercing is healed, you should not feel itchy. As long as you DONT TOUCH IT, be mindful that its there, don't bump, or change out the jewelry to early. Clean the piercing daily. Hope this helps!

Navel piercing advice?
Once it's healed, it is fine for them to be touched. Having your partner wash his hands before is a good idea though, just so you're sure nothing nasty is being introduced. Navel piercings are notorious for sometimes playing up after they're healed because they get easily irritated by clothing and such so let how your piercing is feeling be an indicator of what is appropriate. If you're sore, be gentle. While you're healing it's important not to let anyone else's body fluids come into contact with your piercing, same deal if your piercing is irritated. As for doing body shots, alcohol can dry your piercing out which can cause micro tears so if it actually comes into contact with your piercing make sure you moisturise it afterwards with something like vitamin e oil. This isn't really a big deal if it's only occasional contact, it only really happens to people who don't know better and clean their piercings with medicinal alcohol but it's something you should be aware of.

There’s a difference in opinion between tattooists on the best way to clean fresh piercings so I’d contact the place you got it done to see their best recommendation. I’ve had my belly button pierced three times and the first time, I used salt water and that worked best but again, probably best to consult a professional and not go by the advice of someone who screwed up their navel three times.If it became infected after you changed it, it could be something to do with the new bar/hoop you’ve got in. I’d suggest changing it back to the one you got it pierced with, or whatever one you had before it got infected. Make sure you properly clean it (I used hand sanitiser and also soaked it in boiling water w/ anti bacterial soap).
Tips on cleaning my fresh navel piercing?
This is probably a clichéd question, I know lots of people often have questions about piercing aftercare, but there is one aspect of cleaning the piercing that I'm not sure about. I had mine done almost 4 days ago, it showed no signs of infection/allergy, and no lymph. I was looking on youtube earlier at people cleaning their own navel piercings and it kind of freaked me out since they were tugging and pulling the piercing while cleaning it, and I haven't been able to do that since I consider the wound too fresh to be moving my piercing around...I've been cleaning it 3 times a day, but very gently, without actually moving the barbell. Is this correct? Am I supposed to move it? Or am I doing what is correct? I was gonna wait a few weeks until cleaning it more thoroughly, but I dunno...my piercer only told me to 'wash it', not giving any details. Can you help me out here? (i have also been rubbing the recommended ointment on it + saline solution)
How does a navel piercing affect me in general?
Sounds deep haha. I really want an inverse navel bar, I have for a while. I told my (long-term long-distance) boyfriend about it and he says he hates navel piercings in general. He says he wouldn't find me any less sexy or love me less if I were to get it done but he says he still wouldn't like it. He also says it might scratch him when we have sex, and it will always catch on my clothes and I'll just end up taking it out. (I've already had and taken out my septum, my eyebrow and two sets of snakebites but that's different because of work and stuff.) I'm alright with pain and everything else, I'd get it even if he doesn't like it. I quit smoking for him but I won't let him walk all over me like my last boyfriend did. Anyone with experience, can you tell me how bad it would be during sex, against my clothes and also when exercising ie. sit-ups and running. I like doing sit-ups :| Thanks.
Belly button piercing has two bottom holes? Please give advice!?
Ok, so a while back underneath my bottom hole of my belly button piercing, it had formed a bump. Well, i did some research and cleaned it and after a while it looked a lot better and it appeared as though it went down in size. Well today, i was cleaning it and such (and when i do this I sometimes insert the ring through the top hole first just to clear anything out) But today when i did that, it went right through the bump! It didn't go to the first hole (the one that was pierced) it just went right through the lump below it. What could this be? I have to lower holes now??
Belly button piercing and soccer?
I'm 16 years old and play soccer at a real high level. Year round, right now is high school season so it isnt as competitive. I want to get my belly button pierced but i'm not sure how it will go with soccer. Any advice or info? Anything will be great, i really want it but i have to make sure if i'm able to have it.
