Need Advice On My Football Soccer Trials

I have a week to get ready for the new football (soccer) season. What should I do?

I agree with Alan. However, just a note.  At my college, (NCAA D-3 level) the varsity players were Not allowed to start practicing with the team until they went over the near-by track and ran two miles in 12 minutes or less.It kept us all staying physically fit during the summer. After five days of work outs, head over to a near-by track and see how long it takes for you to run eight laps.  Soccer is an Endurance sport......

How can I perform well at a football trial?

First and foremost thing you have to understand is football is a 90 minute game played at the peak of your energy level for the whole time there is no rest time in football except for the 15 minutes of half-time and even then you have to be mentally alert to listen the manager’s half time team talk.So assuming that you have done your homework of building up your fitness levels using various techniques like interval sprints, weight training and you are in proper shape I am not going to advice you on how to build them up for the trial. What I would suggest is have a good night’s sleep the day before the trial and keep your practice and workouts to a minimum so that the muscles have rest and are ready to go for the trial. Have a good pre game meal something which is high in protein and carbs like whole wheat pasta with chicken to make up for your carbohydrate requirement during the trial. The next most important thing is check for the quality of your boots and if they are not in a good shape get a new one depending on your positional requirement like I used to play as a winger so I preferred mercurial so it solely depends on your own liking and position. The last thing is don’t put yourself under too much pressure and overthink or overdo stuff. Perform the drills have a protein shake or a protein bar before the game to replenish yourself(you will surely have at least a five minute break before the game) and yeah don’t forget the fluids. Drink enough water to keep you hydrated and not cramp up but don’t over drink as it will make you sluggish. With all that said All the best and I hope you crack the trials. Cheers :)

Soccer/football trials?

Are you passionate about football? Because the way I see it you're worried about how you'll look in front of your friends not that you'll be out the team. Anyways, do your best. And if you still happen to be kicked out then it's fine, act chill. I don't know why it's bothering you and I doubt that your friends will do anything. What should you do: (Idk how it works) but if there is another trial work your butt off and wait for the next one. Good luck :)

Football/Soccer advice needed please?

Im 17 and i live in england, I play for a saturday league side at a good standard but i want to try and get into a professional academy. I have made a CV and a video of myself playing in matches. They are both ready to send off to professional clubs. The problem i have is my coach for some strange reason doesn't like any of us lads to gain success and push on into pro teams as he has stopped players doing so in the past. I have a difficult decision to make, should i send out the CV and video to pro clubs and hope to get a trial? The thing is if my coach finds out he about it, he will kick me off the team and there is not another team i can join locally at this standard. Whats the best decision to make? Please help

Soccer tryouts tomorrow! Need some advice! :/?

I have soccer tryouts tomorrow, Im not worried about the tryouts I'm just worried about conditioning/running. I'm not really in shape so I'm really scared I'm guna throw up or pass out. Is there anything I can do to help my stamina for tryouts and prevent me from throwing up or passing out? And something that will help me keep running. Thanks so much

UK Football tryout ( goalkeeper)?

Aged 22 you will struggle to get a trial unless your exceptional and if you were you would have been spotted. Then again anything is possible so my advice is the following:

Get yourself into the best physical condition you can.
Play for the best team you can locally be exceptional and you can move on to a better club.
Go to live games and watch the goalkeepers like a hawk practice what they do well.

You may not make it but you will be a better keeper for trying.

I played as a goalkeeper all through my teens for the top sides in my area had great hands and distribution keeping came easy to me. I had a trial when I was 14 and I wasn't half as good as some of the other keepers there and none of them made it either you really do have to be 1st class to make it.

Football try outs in Vienna Austria?

Hello
My name is Ahmed, I'm a player who has had trials with FK Haugesund in Tippligaen and GAIS Goteborg in the Allsvenskan, Sweden. I want to try somewhere different in the summer, I wanted to get a trial in pre season June 2013 for an austrian regional east team, so I'm thinking of contacting Austria Vienna Ameature team, Rapid Vienna Ameature, and other local clubs in that league which are small teams. Will I get a trial with them if I contact Austria Vienna about trialling with there ameatur team and also red bull salzburg ameatur team. Also I'm going to contact local regional team hopefully I can get a trial. I'm willing to work and what's the best site I can apply for jobs in vienna or austria. Thanks your advice will be great

What do I need to practise for my soccer trial in 6 days?

Hi mateWork on your core and leg strength for two/three days. Google "core strength workouts" "leg strength workouts" if you don't have a conditioning coach. You don't want to get too fatigued before the trial so do those workouts in the first three days.Get foam rollers if you can to aid your recovery.I don't know how your body will react to it so if you're feeling too tired after a few sessions just move on to training your dribbling, passing, first touch and all that.If you don't have access to a coach you can get drills online for free. Just Google "football training drills" or "soccer training drills" and look for dribbling and general technique drills.Make the wall your best friend if you're training alone. Also prepare yourself mentally.Mind you there's not much you can improve on regarding your technique in just 6 days, but you can prepare yourself mentally.Get together with friends at least once in the 6 days and play 5 aside to build your confidence and reduce nervousness ahead of the trial.Don't be fazed by anything when you get to the trial. The thing about trials is coaches have something specific they're looking for most of the time.Advice for the trial - you probably hear this a lot, but just be yourself, play your natural game but also make efforts to standout where you can.Don't dribble past players unnecessarily (you can do it a *few* times but it's advisable not too at all). Only show off your skills if it will help the team. Know when to dribble, know when to pass ,know when to take the shot - show your speed of thought as well as your physical speed. Also set achievable targets for yourself like "I won't misplace more than x amount of passes" that sorta stuff. If you don't get picked, don't beat yourself up. Look for another trial and try again.

How to get soccer trials with professional soccer clubs?

I want to play soccer in any Mexican, Spanish, or English clubs but how would I go about getting a tryout? I am good, I believe I have the ability to play. I know in Europe you need scouts to recommend you so how can I get get in touch with some scouts. I need help not advice. So numbers or websites are what I'm looking for.

How do I approach a football club by myself to get a trial?

Thanks for the A2A!Unless you have excellent connections in the footballing world, you are not just going to get an individual trial. Trials are usually only given to players that the teams have scouted and/or have had recommended to them.Given this, my advice for getting a trial would be to go onto the respective clubs website and look for if/when they have open tryouts. Train hard and play excellently during these tryouts and you will get yourself a trial with the first team.Beyond that, the only other suggestion would be to get video of you playing and send it to one of the scouts along with an email expressing an interest in the club. Obviously there is no guarantee that they will open the email or be happy with what they see, but if both of these happen you will get a trial.Best of luck!
