My kitten still has diarrhea after taking the parasite medication Albon. Anyone know why?
It can take a while for them to be totally back to normal after a round of coccidia. Try getting the beneficial bacteria back in to her system. The pet stores sell a product called Bene-bac, it contains all the good bacteria that you'd find in yogurt, but much more concentrated. It comes three small tubes to a pack (check the expiration date!) and instructions on dosing. It can really make a difference if her problems are due to the antibiotic, which often kill off all those beneficial bacteria found in the gut, and diarrhea is the result.

We rescued a puppy drenched in sewage water eight years ago. It was back in January 2008. I was studying in my room when we heard a strange wailing sound from outside. My mother went out to check and we were heartbroken to see a hardly a month old puppy all covered in black sewage water and shivering like hell. It was one of the coldest days of the year and the puppy was crying loudly.It was scared and tried to hide when we approached her, but after some time, she let my mother carry her to a part of the garden which was receiving sunlight then. After about half an hour, the puppy stopped shaking and drank some milk we gave her.After 2-3 days of her staying with us, we decided to keep her as a pet since me and my brother were fond of dogs but never had one. After requesting (a lot!) our parents about the same, we made her our pet and named her Naughty. P.S. Names do influence one's behavior. She is indeed naughty!This is one of her first pictures with us. She was about 3-month-old then.When she loved chewing our shoes and slippers with her new growing teeth!We recently threw her a party on her 8th birthday. I hope she enjoyed it.She never lets me take a nap with her. Never in the past eight years has this happened, until one fortunate day.I'm more than glad we decided to keep her with us. Having Naughty in our lives is no less than a blessing. A pet is like a baby, you can watch them doing random stuff, fighting with mosquitoes and bees, barking on leaves and even ants and spend a complete day just adoring them. She's been pretty fit since then and continues to be Naughty.
