Need Help Changing My Study Habits

How can I develop fast studying habits?

Studying fast?…wait, first write down why you want to study fast? is it for running out of time? or you want to make it a habit to stand unique as a “Moon among stars” :) if yes then jump freely to the answer :)The only thing bothers while you sit for studies will be lack of concentration, how to get over this?Simple I can say do meditation for 2–3 minutes but I won’t say it now. Buy a candle lit it and KEEP at the CORNER of your room or at your study place.whenever your THOUGHTS are deviating just LOOK at the candle FLAME for a minute or 2. Just focus .. focus.. unwavering focus… it hurts you can’t do it. Don’t worry try again..again…and again. You can certainly do it. Now you learnt how to concentrate .“Habits that you can follow”Prioritize your subjects like “Extremely important, Important, Not necessary now”Skim(just give a fast eye read) through the content first.Don’t Underline during the very first readingTry to fit in to the situation/character. (suppose if you are reading history , imagine yourself as that particular King/Queen , it really works)Keep a Timer( allot 30-40 minutes timer for subject, because human brain can’t focus continuous more than that). You are studying for something, sometimes you feel low, discharged, demotivated, then ask yourself why you started ?Spend time with subject, it gives back unimagined KnowledgeTreat the subject as a most important person in your life, pay attention while reading, handle it gently, be nice with books don’t hate them at all even if it is not your favorite subject.Download some brain music apps. It can help to focus.Never ever think of result or Output, if you are giving your best same will revert back to you as per Newton’s 3 Law :)“Reading giving temporary Knowledge, Studying gives DEEP knowledge”Korchipati Kishorekumar

How can I change my study habits fast?

The rate at which your study habits improve has a direct correlation to how much you WANT to change them. It’s not only how much you would like them to change, but how hard you’re willing to work for them. The truth is that changing any habit is hard work. After all, habits are deeply entrenched within our being, and undoing aspects that are so key to who we are is extremely difficult. My only piece of advice to you is that you need one thing: discipline. Discipline is different from motivation in that it never fades, never runs out like motivation often does. Discipline is simply the ability to make yourself do something on a regular basis, and this too can quickly become a habit. All you have to do is force yourself to commit to your new study habits.Say you want to increase the amount of effective daily studying time. First, establish a benchmark of how many hours you want to do everyday. Then, pursue your goal tirelessly and meet it every single day, regardless of the circumstances of any given day. Even if the last thing you want to do is study, you still have to make yourself do it. Only then will it become a powerful, long-lasting habit that will guide you for the rest of your life. The approach I have stated above is not for the faint of heart. It requires a great deal of will, and even a willingness to push yourself to the extreme. The difficulty is indicative of the success of this method though. The more work you put in and the more you struggle to make yourself follow your goals, the greater the pay off will be down the road. Until then, you have to trust in the power of habit and simply follow the path to see where it takes you.For more high school, college, and life advice, check out Luca Tips

First of all I want to say that m also a student like u and I myself struggle to inculcate good studying habits in me .. but I can advice you some good habits ..Always try to study in an upright posture like on chair with a table or sitting on the ground . If u will study on the bed u will end up sleeping.Never try to study with your internet on or log out of all social networks before sitting for studying.Sit to study in a room which is free from noise or any kind of distractions.Never study for more than 50 minutes in one go, after 50 minutes take a 5 min break to reboot ur mind .Avoid studying for late night if u are a school or college going student .Do take adequate sleep and then study in morning hours when your mind is fresh.Don’t take studies as a burden just try to fall in love with your subjects and learn for fun never take pressure.Make a habit of writing whatever u read or learn so as to memorise it better .Never skip a new word which u don’t know instead kill ur laziness and surf it in dictionary it will help u.Set ur daily targets and try to accomplish them and then reward yourself with something like a movie or something u like to do.I hope it helps u .. best of luck buddy ✌

My study habits suck!?

well, its best you start this new routine i'm suggesting for you next week. so this weekend make sure to get plenty of sleep so you can regain your energy. do not sleep late, as this will ruin the rest of the plan. also use the weekend as an oppurtunity to get caught up on assignents. like if you have weekly lab write ups to complete or weekly english assignments or even long term projects, use this time as an oppurtunity to get ahead or even complete them. make sure you have fun during the weekend too, this way you'll feel less compelled to procrasinate during the week since you'll have all the need for fun out of your system. on monday, come home from school and take an hour long break where you eat a snack and maybe watch a show. then start your homework, starting with the hardest stuff, since you'll have more energy to put into it. take 10-15 minute breaks each hour, to stretch or take a walk. don't do anything distracting like watching tv during your break. by doing this you should finish significantly earlier, and even have left over time for some relaxation. finally go to sleep early, like at 10 o clock. if you keep this schedule up the whole week, you will be able to complete EVERY assignment, properly study, and still have energy and rest. hope i helped and good luck =]

How did your study habit change from the first to the last year in college?

Well, I study physics (so what I say would probably apply to engineering, maths and other technical subjects, but surely not to humanities) and the biggest shift I had from the first semester is this:First year:I never skipped a single lecture and wrote in my notes every word the professor saidI spent too much time on theory and repeating thousand of times the proofs and the theorems instead of focusing on the exercisesI cared about what the others were doing in my class and how they were arranging their scheduleIf I got stuck doing a problem, I’d stay there until I did it rightLast Year:If a professor isn’t (at least from my POV) good and basically repeats what is in the textbook, I don’t attend his class and I self study the material. And for the classes I attend, I don’t really think of notes as valuable for the information in them (most of it is in the textbook) but instead I use them as something to keep me focused during the lecture, and to help me memorize the lecture instead of being passiveI focus 70% of my time on doing exercises and past papers, which bumps up to 100% in the days before the exam. Then I use the time between the written test and the orale examination to revise the theory, proofs, theorems, etcI don’t give a f**k about what my classmates are doing to prepare an exam, I know at what pace I can study and how to do it. If I want to learn how to improve my method I read books from experts and psychologists, instead of allowing my course mates to basically throw at me all their anxietyI see problem sets just as a tool to get better and the most important thing isn’t how many practice questions you did well, but how much you learned from them. So if I get stuck on some problem I can’t do, after trying for 60 minutes, I check the solution, I study it and I mark that exercises to do it again in a different study sessionAnd btw the results I got in my last exams are way better than those I was getting at the beginning so these adjustments, at least for me, made a big difference
