Need Help Fast With My Ps3

My PS3 Heats up Really Fast? Can someone help?

4-6 inches of breathing room all around the ps3, keep it off carpet, and best standing possition is vertical to keep it cooler...if this doesnt help, then you may have to open it up and clean off the contact spot for the fan(along with all dust) and reapply a thin layer of thermal compound paste(recommend a silver-based one)...good luck

Is 3.7 mbps fast for ps3?

3.7 Mbps is a good speed for the ps3. 665.8 kbps I'm guessing is your upload speed? That is about .65 of a megabit. That is decent when paired with your download speed. Your upload speed will always be a much lower value than your download speed. The reason I say that 3.7 is good for the ps3 even though some might consider it slow, is because for some reason the ps3 doesn't seem to take advantage of really fast speeds. I can't prove it but I believe the ps3 servers limit broadband speeds. I have over 25 Mbps for my download per my ISP, yet when I'm on my ps3 my online experience is no different than those that have about 3.0 Mbps. I still have lag when playing online, demos and games still take too long to download and I still get disconnected from servers. In fact when I use the ps3's internet speed test in the settings menu it shows my download at about 6 or 7 Mbps, not 25 like I have. I have friends that also have this problem so I know I'm not the only one that has this conspiracy theory.

Is my Internet speed fast enough for PS3 online?

It should be fine, but just be sure, you should start with a wired connection. This is stronger.

8ms fast enough for PS3?

Looking to buy an ACL that I can also use to play PS3 on. I'm not an Avid Gamer, I play a few hours a week at car racing games. I have seen the Samsung LN-T4665F. 46 inches full HD, seems great but it has a response time of 8ms. Is it fast enough? Other suggestions? Thanks

[PLEASE HELP] Internet slow with wifi but fast with ethernet?

Im having a 16mbps net connection. Im using the 'Linksys E2500 Advanced Dual-Band Router'. The router is connected to my desktop and PS3 via ethernet and i use wifi for my laptop. Im really upset with the wifi speed issue. To confirm it, i went to www.speedtest.com and checked my speed with wifi and ethernet on my laptop.

With the wifi, after unplugging PS3 ethernet (my signal bar doesnt go above 2/5) the results i got were
Ping - 53 ms
Download Speed - 1.98 mbps
Upload Speed - 0.88 mbps

I unplugged the ethernet off my PS3 and connected it to my laptop to run the test ... the result i got were
Ping - 9ms
Download Speed 15.6 mbps
Upload Speed 0.96 mbps

Im not at all a tech freak. I would just need some help on what to do to get a better signal. Between the router and my laptop, there are 2 walls, the distance is around 10-15 metres. Again, any help will be appreciated and best answer will be voted. Thank you.

Is it normal for ps3 slim to get warm fast?

Yeah, it's totally normal. The PS3 is not only plugged into a wall and is receiving energy, but it's constantly keeping up the audio, video, etc. A PS3 is like a computer. Computers heat up in a matter of seconds.

Help making my cradlepoint mobile broadband speeds faster for gaming?

Your problem seems to be the range of your router, or that the walls or whatever is in between the ps3 and the router is causing interference. Ultimately this will effect your speed, and a wired connection would help greatly, providing you have an ethernet cable long enough to reach your router. Otherwise just move it closer or get a range extender or something like that. The modem takes the internet info and converts it and gives it to the router, in turn, the router acts as a beacon allowing for wireless connection. Its also possible to plug Ethernet directly into the modem, however you may or may not be able to use a router.

Is 12mbsps fast enough for gaming (ps3)?

Ok, everyone seems to be confused as to what is actually used for online. Its not the 12mbps. That is probably your download speed right? Your download speed isn't what you use for gaming. You use the upload speed for online gaming. The download speed is just for that. Downloading things. Say you buy something from the Playstation Store. You have to download it onto your system to get it. That's what the 12mbps is used for. The bigger the speed the faster you can download games and other things.

You upload speed is what's important for gaming. Do an internet connection test in network settings on your PS3 and the system will tell you what that is. Its usually in kbps (Kilobytes) instead of mb (Megabytes).

My Download speed is always at a steady 20mbps. My Upload speed is usually between 400-600kbps. That is a lot for gaming. More than enough. I'm usually the host because my connection is so good.

As for your 12mbps. That's a decent amount. I lot of people have MUCH less than you. I have a bit more than other people. It just depends on your Internet Service Provider and how much you pay for what you get basically. Don't worry. Your upload speed should be enough. The 500kbps and up range are some of the best you can get though.

Hope that helps.

My PS3 keeps overheating. What can I do?

It is important to maintain your PlayStation 3 system by keeping the vents on the system free of dust. Because dust can accumulate in the vents of the PlayStation 3 systems and cause the PS3 to overheat and make loud noises, I recommend that you check the vents periodically and clean them if necessary. After turning off your system and unplugging it from the electrical outlet, you may remove any dust with the hose attachment of your vacuum cleaner or with a small handheld vacuum.Important Note: Do not use compressed air to blow out your system. This can cause the dust in the vents to be blown into the PlayStation 3 which could possibly damage your system.

How do I do a quick turn around in the last of us for ps3?

I was shown how during game play but forgot how to do it. It's a quick turn around so you can face enemies coming from behind you a lot quicker than circling with the joy stick. Thank you. It's not listed on any control sites iv seen so far either.
