Need Help For First Car

How do I buy my first car?

I think the main thing you have to watch out for when buying your FIRST car is to make sure1. It's reliable2. It's cheap3. It's slow4. It's very strongComing from a guy living in the country with the shittiest drivers, this is why I think those are good standards when you're buying your first car.It has to be reliable because this is your FIRST car. If you don't know anything about cars you won't know how to fix it when you run into problems. Go Japanese like Honda, Toyota, etc. Make sure it's cheap. You want to MAKE SURE it's cheap because it is your first car. You don't want it to be expensive because it's your first car. It's the car you use to practice and become a better driver. If you crash, it will be no problem because it will be easy to repair and you won't worry about it more. Most people would worry about crashing it because it's a brand new shiny toy. But it's something for you to practice driving with so it should be cheap for when you get in an accident or when you need to repair it for messing it up.It has to be slow. I can't stress this enough, IT HAS TO BE SLOW. I live in China, the country with some of the shittiest drivers in the world. I've heard endless stories of people getting into accidents with their 400+ hp BMW's and also killing and injuring others while at it. These are mainly little spoiled 18 year-olds after just picking up their licenses. They don't know how to control the power and they don't understand the danger of 400+ hp. So you need to practice with a slower car. Last idea is that it has to be fairly strong so if or when you get in an accident you will be ALIVE. RIP Lee family I will miss you all

First car question need help?

There's no 2006 version of the Nissan Juke, Toyota Venza, Honda Accord Crosstour. The only one that offers a 2006 version of these you've listed is the Nissan Armada. Now if you're looking for fuel efficiency then the Nissan Armada is out of the picture. This is a 4x4 suv which will struggle to get higher than 15 miles to the gallon. Next, the Toyota Venza and Honda Crosstour are both fairly large vehicles, both are fuel efficient. But there really isn't much fun to drive factor in these cars, they are aimed more towards families. The Nissan Juke is fairly roomy, handles really well and offers a good blend of driving fun and great gas mileage. However, there's no 2006 version because it was recently introduced.

First Time Car buyer, Need help with Loan?

About 8 months ago I almost got ripped off when trying to buy a car. Thankfully I didn't make the deal, and have been doing A LOT of research to make sure a got everything right next time.

So, this is the scenario:
Want to get a pre approval loan from Bank or Credit Union
Car listed on the Dealer website as: $23,582 with MSRP: $26,645
I can afford to give up to $10,000 for down payment

Now, how does the loan works?
Do i get a loan based on the price of the car?
lets say the car is $26,000 and I have $10,000, do I get a 16,000 loan? or there is no need for down payment?
Also, Do I need to negotiate the price with pre approval? if so, do I ask for the $23,582 or $26,645?

Any help will be appreciated
Thanks

Buying my first car-I need tips/info!?

I'm 24 and my husband and I are ready to buy our first car together-the car we've had during our whole relationship was a car my parents gave to me and was paid for. We sold it when we moved (husband is in the military) and now we're ready to buy one.
We want a new-used car...not a brand new off the lot car, maybe one that's been driven a year or 2.
I know we make a down payment, then make monthly payments until the car is paid off...
What are tips for what to look for when buying a car? How much does our credit matter?
Our credit isn't horrible, but its not great, either. Also, my husband is away for a few months and I don't work...will he need to be there when I go in to purchase the car?

Any and all information and tips you can share about this would be great! I am totally new to all of this. Thank you!

Need help on this problem.?

Two cars travel the same distance. The first car travels at a rate of 42 miles per hour and reaches its destination in T hours. The second car travels at a rate of 58 miles per hour and reaches its destination 4 hours earlier than the first car.

Write an equation in words to determine how long does it take for each car to reach its destination.

First car help, corolla or mustang?

I need help picking a first car it's between a 2007 Toyota corolla s or a 2005 ford mustang v6 coupe. The mustang is cheaper than the corolla but has more mileage. The mustang has much better features but i am worried about reliability I have no experiences with mustangs so I don't know if it's reliable or not. And I heard the v6 mustangs insurance is about the same as regular car and not expensive like a mustang gt v8. So is insurance on the mustang gonna be a lot more than the corolla, which is more reliable and which is just an overall better car to get

When is a good time to buy your first car?

Never go shopping for a car thinking about how much per month you can afford. Get a total price for the vehicle, without any financing. Get your financing elsewhere, even pre-arrange it. Any time you get into, "It's only $250 a month" you are going to be spending way to much money over way too long a time. Now as to your question..The time to buy a car is when you need one (not when you want one.) Do you need a car for work because there is no public transportation? Do you need to transport materials that would otherwise require renting a truck? Do you have the resources to pay for the vehicle, the insurance, the gas, the repairs, the maintenance, the taxes, etc?  And where are you going to park it? Do you need to rent a parking slot? Do you have a garage? Is the car going to be parked in a non-secure location? If not, stick with alternatives. You have Uber, Lyft, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and rentals you can use. Generally if you don't need that car every day, these other alternatives will cost less, be less hassle, and let you enjoy life more.
