How do you get Netflix on DirecTV?
There are several good answers already.As far as I know, no DirecTV receivers have a built-in Netflix Application so you need another device, like a Smart TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, or some other multimedia network device like a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One. Many Blu-Ray and DVD players also have built in Netflix apps. When you want to watch Netflix, you change your source to this other device from your DirecTV receiver to watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or other streaming video services. There are subscription fee for each streaming service.Enjoy.
Connecting my hd dvr to the internet. I have Directv and a hr24-500 reciever/dvr.?
I cant find any simple answere's to my questions trying to get internet to my reciever. I have the following equipment a simple wireless router, a cable modem, a reciever with a built in DECA (whatever that is). and a lap top. I would like the on demand bennifits + and pc interactive fun stuff. i tried hooking it up but it didnt work. dont know what a deca is or what it does, how to link my pc (if i have to) do i need the modem at the reciever? well, the list goes on. Could use all the help i can get, thanks.
How do you reset the DirecTv receiver?
There are 3 ways that a DirecTV receiver can be reset, or " rebooted".1. Every current model has a red reset button. The hr34 and hr44 genie models have it inside the access card door, which is spring loaded. Just press the panel and it should pop open , then press the button to begin the reboot process, which may take up to 6 minutes. The hr54 genie which is the most current model, has the red reset button located on the right hand side as you face the receiver, by the access card slot.. The h44 genie lite and all client models have the reset button on the outside right hand side too.2. Pull the power cord from the back, wait ten seconds , then plug it back in. We technicians call that a " hard reset", and it aso reboots the receiver.3. Press and hold down the blue DirecTV power button in the front of your receiver.Hold it for twenty seconds. This is going to restore your receiver to factory settings, so don't try this unless you don't mind losing any customized things like your playlist, favorites, screen preference, parental locks, etc.I hope this helps !
How to connect my Directv HD DVR to the internet?
I have a HD DVR HR24/100 and I also have a Broadband Deca Model DECABB1MR0-01, plus a 2wire router for my att internet. I connect my deca router to my DVR with the ethernet cable, I have a power light on, and C link light blinking on the rounter. In my DVR I have a yellow light blink on thr right side where I conect the ethernet cable. When I go on Network setup, and click get connected, it show my ip and everything, but in the end it comes with an error, saying it could not connect to the internet, I have tried the red button, but I still get the same error, can someone please help me!!! Why does my DirecTV DVR keep freezing?
Well..the drive sounds like it might have bad sectors . DIRECT TV has tens of thousands of these things in warehouses and refurbs them and sends them back out to unsuspecting customers. They might not of checked the used drive for damage. They usually just reformat it and then slap new stickers on t he used thing and send it right out to brand new customers who have no idea what they are getting let alone PAYING FOR …figure they're dealing with hundreds of thousands of these hard drives and DVR Boxes.Your best bet is to contact directv and get a new box. If you or anyone is interested …I have a LEGAL unlock program to unlock Direct TV and Dish Network hard drives in their DVRS. ITS quick and easy to use only 1.4 mb or so. Direct TV locks their hard drives which are the same SATA drives used in most computers PC desktops or Linux whatever. The thing is they run some version of Linux or UNIX and the drives are set to what's called,” Zero state” which means if you take one drive out and put it in your computer it'll just sit there and do nothing. The BIOS can't see it or the operating system so the program i have resets to drive from 0 to 1 then you reboot your computer and reformat the drive and install whatever OS you want to put on it. It's really not that hard to do I posted it on a few forums and a few sites.kept taking it down. Contact me at fclear@inbox.ru if you want it or have questions. Direct TV DVR not recording series?
You did not tell us exactly which receiver you have. Do you think there is only 1 and everybody has the same unit with the same features? (sigh) In general you can setup to record ALL episodes or NEW episodes. We are in summer re-run time right now. I suspect you have properly setup to record NEW episodes but everything is a re-run right now. Or - the electronic program guide is messed up and not marking new episodes as NEW. If this is the case - Call DirectTV for tech support.
Does DirectTv's DVR take up alot of bandwidth?
It takes up a little bit when it is in use to refresh data, but when it is streaming video or downloading video it will take up as much as a computer streaming or downloading video would- which is not good for your gaming depending on how much bandwidth you have available. If you play on your computer you can do a speed test to see what your download speed is and check your latency when you are noticing the lag. How to reprogram Direct TV remote (rc65rx) to receiver (hr24-500)?
The box was set to AV1 and AV2 mode, as opposed to Directv mode, and the controller stopped working. I could have fixed it with the box itself, but the select button no longer works. Long story short, the remote has now been reset, idk if it's in RF or what. I read you can resync the two with codes, but hasn't seemed to work. Can I reset the box to Directv mode? Can I get the remote to work at all if it's not in that mode?
How do i reprogram the Direct TV remote back to the direct TV box?
on the top of the remote, there should be a little tab and just move that all the way to the left and try if it works.
