Take a backup of your Bookmarks as HTML using desktop chrome.Remember to remove all your bookmarks from all other devices. How do I delete the bookmarks stored on Google account? Every time I sync my phone with PC's Chrome it imports all the prior bookmarks that are of no use to me along with the smartphone ones.
Either they are stored in different folder like in bookmark bar, mobile bookmarls.Sign in to your Google account in chrome.Now click on 3 dots on right side of search bar.Go to bookmarks and see how many folders you have .Go to the relevant folder and delete your bookmarks .they will deleted permanently.Make sure your sync is turned on.Hope it helps.Thanks

Yahoo Bookmarks - unable to edit?
- - - - Dear Sum, The access is tricky. The "all bookmarks" drop down only allows a quick link to each bookmarked site, no edit functions. I since found a workaround: To get to the actual Bookmarks page to do any editing whatsoever, I have to type in http://bookmarks.yahoo.com/ (while logged into Yahoo). Once on that page, I can edit and delete. Very cumbersome now. It used to be that I could reach this link from within the drop down menu. It seems they streamlined the programming and made it user "unfriendly". Anyhow, thank you for your help.

Browsers have cleanup options including: * delete cached files * clear history * clear saved passwords You may choose not to delete your history while deleting cached files for example. Bookmarks are different, they are not related with clearing the cache. You can delete them manually if you want.

It stores the bookmarks in two files - Bookmarks and Bookmarks.bak.Find these two files at the folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\DefaultHere C: is your system drive, and Users is the user name of the Windows.Anything that you change from the Google Chrome interface is first changed at the Bookmarks (the file without the extension folder). Double click to open it with Notepad. I am yet to find out the use of the file Bookmark.bak in that folder.You did not mention the operating system you are using. It applies for Windows 7 and above, but I don’t think it is much different for OS X and Linux.

If you don't have any bookmarks in the folder, it auto-hides. Add a bookmark to that folder by clicking the star in the top right when you're at the page that you want to bookmark, and select 'Other Bookmarks' from the 'Folder' drop-down menu. The Other Bookmarks folder should appear with your new bookmark in it.
In My-Yahoo my bookmarks are gone. All I can do is add and remove the bookmark area. No folders at all.?
I have been adding web addresses to the BookMarks section of my MyYahoo page. Suddenlly, for no reason I can see the BookMarks section of the page is blank. There are no folders, no book marks, not anything usefull. I can delete and add the secton to my MyYahoo, but that does nothing to fix the problem. There is no way I can see to create a new folder, find my old bookmarks, etc. When I click on the ADD BOOKMARKS nothing happens. I was going to make Yahoo my new web portal, but .......
