Note The Major Events That Led Up To The Formation Of The First Two Political Parties

Why have political parties become so polarized that they fail to address the concerns of most Americans?

Hi Sam...hope you are coming back next season!

I have been blogging about this issue for many months and could not agree more that we need a true independent party system that allows all parties access to the electorate, first, in the Primaries then in the General Election. I also favor term limits for all elective office holders.

Currently our system is tightly controlled by the major parties and lobbyists, making it nearly impossible for truly representative government. We need to send a message - Politicians who do not listen and do not do what is best for us will be replaced.

What amazes me is the fact that polling showed that Congress was rated lower than President Bush prior to the 2006 Election. There was a shift in power because of it, yet, they still haven't gotten the message.

We want performance of our wishes!

Groups such as Unity08 are a step in that direction.

Help in history!?!?! (World War II and I) Few questions i need answering please...!?

WW1 happened because of the expanding imperialist countries. Major countries like France, Austria-Hungary, and England. They all wanted more land and resources to become even more powerful.

The Nazi party is the National Socialist Party. They believed in a strong government and promised to turn Germany back into a world power.

Communists believe in a form of government called communism. Communism has the idea of equality for all and ownership for all. While this idea sounds great on paper, it will never work because of people's greed.

The French and British created the Treaty of Versailles. It was a harsh treaty that forced the Germans to pay reparations to Great Britain and France.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Why was the Indian National Congress formed in 1885?

By the middle of 19th century, there was already widespread antagonism in India against the British, because of the discrimination and atrocities inflicted by them. This became acute, especially during the viceroyalty of Lord Lytton (1876-1888). Each of the measures taken by him created a wider rift between the British and the Indians and also hastened the foundation of the National Movement.Various parties and organizations began to be formed by the educated, intellectual Indians to fight against the wrong. Moreover, the Ilbert Bill controversy brought to the forefront the need for a national body which could represent the interests of all Indians. It was during such circumstances when an englishman named Octavian Hume, a retired civil servant, who was genuinely interested in the welfare of India, initiated what would later become probably the oldest and biggest democratic organization in the world.Through a small committee consisting of Surendranath Banerjea, K T Telang, P Anand Charlu, Narendranath Sen and others, Hume made preparations for a representative organization and even addressed an open letter to the graduates of Calcutta University and later to educated indians all over India. In response to this, the Indian National Union was formed in 1884.This became the Indian National Congress.
