Of The Following Gown Silhouettes Which Is The Most Flattering For A Majority Of Figures

What are some tips for dressing an apple figure?

Check out the column one in from the right, which shows the best clothing and swimwear shapes for an apple figure. I got the graphic from Which Clothes Suit Me? - triactol blogAccording to this, an apple figure is most flattered in V-necks and you should combine a structured top half (such as a tailored jacket or shirt) with 'wider' clothes on your bottom half such as a ruffled skirt or bootcut jeans, which balance out your slightly top-heavy figure :)

How to get an hourglass figure?

I looked up this question and a lot of people have asked what to wear to flatter the hourglass figure they already have....but I'm just wondering how to GET an hourglass figure. When someone asked about it, a lot of responses were like "people are lazy, people eat mcdonalds, blah blah blah" but seriously, TONS of skinny people do not have an hour glass figure. I don't want to just be skinny like models are....I'd want to look like...idk I guess the pinups from the 40's/50's. I like Marilyn Monroe's body....most guys even today think she was super hot and by today's sizes she would be about a 12 sooo....she was not "model thin" but looked way more amazing than models now. How can you get that "good curvy" kind of body from working out? I don't want crazy toned abs, or big muscular madonna arms or legs...Just a good curvy kind of body like marilyn monroe, or beyonce, or scarlett johanson.

I don't know if its something you need to just be born with...because I know you can't just change from an apple-shaped body type to a pear shaped body type, you're sometimes stuck with what you have....but if anyone has any tips, that'd be cool.

Can you have an hourglass body shape and have small breasts/butt?

Yes! Most people seem to assume that an hourglass figure is reliant on the big booty and huge boobs—but that’s simply incorrect. It’s all reliant on measurements more than silhouettes, meaning, you must have a bust-waist-hip ratio/difference of 10 inches or more. For example, if someone had the measurements of 36–26–36, they would be an hourglass, and if someone’s measurements were 40–25–40, they would still be an hourglass since they have a difference of 15 inches. There are two types of hourglass figures: the neat hourglass, and the full hourglass. They are both beautiful, but have different shapes. These hourglass types are more reliant on silhouette, but still fall under the same measurement rules as a regular hourglass. It’s also important to keep in mind that the silhouette alone isn’t the best way to determine an hourglass figure. Audrey Hepburn had an hourglass figure but was 5′7″ (33–20–34), so her silhouette wasn’t very dramatic. Whereas, Marilyn Monroe also had an hourglass figure but was shorter, 5′5″ (36–22–36), so her figure looked much more dramatic. They both had 13–14 inch differences, but had different looking silhouettes due to their height, and partially weight differences!Essentially, what it all comes down to is measurements.
